Week 4 - Pre-Christmas low carb Bootcamp - almost half way there ...

Morning all.

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you all

So this weigh-in might be a bit testing for you all (not least because I can see that there's some struggling cheating going on).

Remember that weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for the lack of weight loss, so if this is happening to you, don't panic! KOKO and things will get moving again soon. Honestly!

But that said, it's also important to remember that we have only been doing this for 3 weeks. I know it probably feels like a lifetime Grin Hopefully you've settled into low carbing, and you should be enjoying your food, without any sense of deprivation that a low calorie/low fat diet can often bring.

Why not go and have a read of the recipe thread (stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic) for some inspiration for something different to cook this week? That way, you'll keep your interest going and it will help to keep you on track.

Good luck, and here's to a successful week Flowers

Plum, what happens at Meet-up stays at Meet-up 😂

wombattoo · 18/11/2016 16:54

Wow BIWI You deserve a break but will this be the first ever January with a bc for a hundred years? Grin

plumstone · 18/11/2016 18:03

SBJ - most definitely! Xoxo

StuntNun · 18/11/2016 19:42

How about getting some help with running the next Bootcamp BIWI? I'm sure a few of us old timers could commit to starting the threads, answering questions, and wielding the big stick helping people stay on track.

wombattoo · 18/11/2016 22:22

Hi Stunt. I was going to suggest something similar. As you know, I have done many many bc's, but I have nowhere near as much experience as BIWI. I know that you have though Stunt!
I even feel self conscious posting advice as I don't want to look like I'm trying to usurp our leader Grin
I am willing to start the weekly threads but can't post BIWI"s weekly tips Blush and I will continue with the assistance with the spreadsheet.
I would love the opportunity to wield the stick! --I even waved it at the goddess BIWI this bc Grin

What do you think BIWI?

wombattoo · 18/11/2016 22:24

And my post earlier should have said - the first Jan without a bc for a hundred years. See - I'm so unreliable!!

wombattoo · 18/11/2016 22:28

Ah, forget it. I had so many witty strike through failures in my last couple of posts. Confused

BIWI I do have all the previous bc threads in my threads i'm watching, so I could copy and paste them if you don't mind my plagiarism ?

stunt and wombatt and BIWI you are all fabulous.

Veryflummoxed · 18/11/2016 23:17

Oh and my food today

Breakfast (I was very hungry this morning).
Sausage slices, mushrooms, tomatoes, egg, fried in butter.
Lunch. Hm mushroom soup a few pork scratchings.
Snack the rest of the pork scratchings. (A stress reaction. I didn't notice I was eating them)
Dinner. A repeat of yesterday's spicy chicken wings.

Not done so well today with water. I got caught up in work and didn't drink enough earlier on. I'm disappointed as I'd done well the last few days.
Tap water glass X 3
Sparking water 500ml X 2
Black tea cup X 3
Mint/herbal tea cup X 2
So a litre and a half down. Hopefully the teas will contribute a little towards that.

wombattoo · 18/11/2016 23:33

flummoxed - you know which side your virtual bread is buttered on Wink
Still loving your photos.
BIWI - I have never seen you post such a non committal post before. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't leave us. We will do whatever it takes to assist. I wanted to pm you but that facility has disappeared Shock

Hi everyone. Can I jump in? Is it allowed? I had done the summer bootcamp, lost lots of weight and did fantastically (overall from March until August). Then in August I went on holiday, started gradually eating carbs again...in september started new job and things went rapidly VERY downhill. The only thing that had helped last time was bootcamp so even though this has started a while ago, is it OK if I join? I really want to get back to low-carb eating, as I know it's the only way for me to not be hungry and lose weight. Let me know what I need to do.

BIWI · 19/11/2016 08:56

Of course you can join! We're half way through this one, still, but jump on to the spreadsheet and get going. The rules are there.

I didn't eat any carbs (there's no carbs in parsnips, there just aren't) but I drank white wine. Then I had to go home early. My liver cannot cope with alcohol on low carb. It's astonishing. Years of finely honed tolerance out the window!

Dillite2 · 19/11/2016 18:35

Would this soup be too carby? I can't be arsed to make my own as I don't then want to eat it for the rest of the week.

Breakfast today- omelette with goats cheese and bacon, cucumber
Lunch- none. Just didn't have the time to and by the time I was hungry it was nearly dinner time
Dinner- courgette bolognese with extra butter

Water- barely any :o I was so busy today that just forgot to drink

That bolognese looks nice.

I'm keeping off carbs pretty well but if I lose focus I don't always have veg with my food, or I don't drink enough water.

I'm going to focus today and do boot camp by the book. Yesterday -

B - leftover crustless quiche
L - McDonalds quarter pounder with cheese - without the bun.
D - Chicken roasted in fajita mix with butter and garlic, with salad. DH made the chicken, so I couldn't check the fajita mix, but I think it might have been too carby.

wombattoo · 20/11/2016 15:23

Hi everyone
Just checking in.
Welcome still

BIWI · 20/11/2016 15:43

Dillite if you just have half the tin it's OK - it's quite carby if you have the whole tin - but then it also depends what else you eat on the same day!

Can I join!? Need something to focus on to help my massively stalling weight loss....

BIWI · 20/11/2016 17:21

Of course! Jump on Grin

Is it literally a case of updating the spreadsheet? I've never properly low carbed before so am not sure what to expect, but I found all the tabs on the spreadsheet and looks like something I can do!

BIWI · 20/11/2016 18:07

Yes - just add yourself to the bottom - wombatto will re-alphabetize it.

Make sure you've read the rules, and any questions you have, just post here - plenty of people to support you.

Good luck!

Hi all
Had F and C for dinner last night at the end of a stressful day where we found ourselves late in the day with no food to hand, soooo will draw a veil over yesterday.

Today loads of water, and nothing else till I had
Dinner of coconut and lime chicken with cauliflower rice and sprouts. As others before have said it's delicious.

I was looking at a lot as in the

Veryflummoxed · 20/11/2016 18:23

Early post
I was looking at a loss earier in the week so I'm hoping that by being extra careful today I won't have entirely undone it yesterday.

That bolognaise looks lovely Dillette

DearPrudence · 20/11/2016 19:50

Ooh flummoxed that chicken looks great.

Good day for me.
B - coffee with cream
L - 1 heck sausage (DS nicked the other one)
D - roast chicken, sprouts, mange tout and fried leeks

Weigh-in tomorrow!
