Morning all.

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you all

So this weigh-in might be a bit testing for you all (not least because I can see that there's some struggling cheating going on).

Remember that weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for the lack of weight loss, so if this is happening to you, don't panic! KOKO and things will get moving again soon. Honestly!

But that said, it's also important to remember that we have only been doing this for 3 weeks. I know it probably feels like a lifetime Grin Hopefully you've settled into low carbing, and you should be enjoying your food, without any sense of deprivation that a low calorie/low fat diet can often bring.

Why not go and have a read of the recipe thread (stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic) for some inspiration for something different to cook this week? That way, you'll keep your interest going and it will help to keep you on track.

Good luck, and here's to a successful week Flowers

2lbs is good! I'm aiming for 2lbs pw. Smile

Just wondering: How much does time of the month affect weight/weight loss?

I'm ten days in and only 2.5 lb down. I'm happy with it (right direction!) but wondering if my period is stalking me a bit? I'm at the end of it now.

DearPrudence · 17/11/2016 09:02

reader I usually find my weight drops in the week after a period whatever diet I'm following.

MercuryInTransit · 17/11/2016 10:52

Hi all, I've still not lost a pound.

I think I'll go to a dietician.... as I can't eat a lot of fat, green veg nor eggs and dairy.

Nuts were a meat replacement as I don't eat pork or beef, or chicken. Lamb is very iron rich too.

Whoever upthread has pain and nausea, get a GP appointment and insist on an ultrasound, as you could have gallstones. Pain under the left rib and through the back is where I get it. Throwing up bile is a symptom. Go to your GP ASAP, as you can damage your pancreas and liver if you have a blockage in your bile duct.

Good luck everyone following the LCHF woe: BIWI's enthusiasm and knowledge is fantastic, but it's not for me. Brew

bettyblueeyes83 · 17/11/2016 12:16

Eek, thanks Mercury perhaps I should. I noticed it was the mornings when I took my magnesium/potassium supplements on an empty stomach so I thought it was that, but I will go. I just expect doctor to tell me high fat isn't healthy and I should be eating complex carbs etc.

I can't see how you could do BC with those restrictions, sounds impossible!

wombattoo · 17/11/2016 17:45

Hope you find something for you Mercury

wombattoo · 17/11/2016 17:46
Thanks
Kleptronic · 17/11/2016 18:33

I have total menu failure. What can I have for my tea? I'm pig sick of eggs. Had turkey mince, brie, cauli rice and spinach in butter for lunch. Have had salmon and mackerel and braised steak and chicken this week. What can I eeaaat? I want bacon. I don't have bacon. Bah.

I have frozen prawns, leeks, corned beef, celeriac, creme cheese, creme fraiche,

Oh never mind, corned beef hash it is! Grin

BIWI · 17/11/2016 19:52

Sorry to hear that, Mercury. I hope you find something that works for you Flowers

I am koko but haven't weighed this week yet. The kiddies aren't well and if I am lucky I get 4 hours sleep staggered over the 24hours. So quite grumpy.
But not giving up. I booked the hairdresser for the 3rd and hope to have lost some weight by then...

MrsKoala · 17/11/2016 20:03

Hello all. Sorry to muscle in. Hello BIWI just wanted to ask if the is a bootcamp starting in Jan? I did LCBC 2 years ago - not sure if you remember. Anyway, I have just had a baby and am desperate to get my lovely low carb figure back.

Good luck everyone. You can do it - i lost 2 stone in 3 months and stayed paleo/primal after and lost a further 1/2 stone and kept it off for nearly a year when i got pregnant again. So KOKO!

Kleptronic · 17/11/2016 20:29

I had chunks of celeriac and chunks of corned beef cos I was STARVING. Tea fail. Well not really cos I'm full now.

prettybird · 17/11/2016 21:12

Nice low carb stir fry for supper: broccoli florets, carrot battons, spring onions, garlic, mange tour, stir fried in lots of coconut oil and then strips of steak and duck breasts (left over from the weekend) added and finished off with some soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce (finished the bottles - hence the blend) and then a generous glug of sesame oil. Looked lovely and colourful - and very tasty Smile

Dh and ds' portions had noodles stirred through it.

Still struggling with wanting to snack but I suspect that is more boredom/idle hands. But bar the odd square of dark chocolate I've managed to stave off the munchies with either a couple of nuts, slices of cheese or salami - or left over buttered brussel sprouts/cabbage.

Probably still having too much tea (albeit with full fat milk now) but during the day, I'm having herb teas (sometimes with a spoonful of coconut oil).

nekobus · 17/11/2016 22:11

Good day today, starting to feel less hungry and snacky.

B - smoked salmon and cream cheese
L - hb egg and mayo, brie
D - butter chicken and cauli rice. Lots of leftovers for next few days Smile

3 teas with soya milk
2 coffees with cream
2L water

nekobus · 17/11/2016 22:14

Butter chicken

Oh dear. Work drinks do with canapés led to proper falling off the wagon, in a way I've never really done on BC. I won't say what but it involved serious amounts of sugar, which I had given up before I even started BC. Blush Back on it this morning, will have some coffee and eggs, off to body pump in a bit.

BIWI · 18/11/2016 08:08
Grin

Predictable, betty!!! Get back on the wagon and we shall never speak of it again.

MrsK of course I remember you!!!

To be quite honest, I'm not sure if I'm going to do Bootcamp in the New Year yet - things at work are so busy for me, I'm conscious that I haven't been devoting the amount of time to it that I feel I need to do. But I'll have a think about it. I have some holiday in January, and then may be working abroad for a week or so, so I'm unlikely to start it anyway until probably February.

I have a works do tonight. Trepidatious.

Dillite2 · 18/11/2016 09:34

Thank you recommending nuts! I managed to find some almonds and hazelnuts that are under 6g carbs/ 2g sugar per 100g. They help a lot when the need to snack comes. I am careful about not having too many/ too often.

Breakfast yesterday and today- scrambled eggs with bacon/ smoked salmon.

Lunch lettuce, spinach and cucumber salad with mayo and roast chicken/ smoked mackerel

Dinner- roast pork with broccoli, green beans and creamy mushroom sauce/ turkey mince bolognese with courgettes

Snacks- pork scratchings, nuts

3l of water a day- well below what I need to drink, but can't drink more due to work

Now, yoghurt. How do I stop it from tasting like satan's sperm in its natural form? Ì have been buying soya yoghurt, but woulf like something a bit more fatty.

bettyblueeyes83 · 18/11/2016 09:52

Kleptronic learn from my tragic example!! In hindsight, I would have had a fatty snack beforehand and alternated the fizz with glasses of water. As it was, I had too much fizz, which meant I was less than discerning about which canapés I snaffled (some were totally LC, like roast beef and horseradish mayo, I would have been fine!) and it was all a predictably slippery slope from there. Anyway, as BIWI says, I'm drawing a very large veil firmly over it. What canapés?

Pootlebug · 18/11/2016 10:43

"Now, yoghurt. How do I stop it from tasting like satan's sperm in its natural form? Ì have been buying soya yoghurt, but woulf like something a bit more fatty."

Lidl full fat greek yoghurt tastes great to me. Stirring in some pure vanilla extract is tasty too.
You can always stir some double cream into yoghurt to up the fat, or stir in some full fat coconut milk for fat and flavour.

SweetBabyJebus · 18/11/2016 11:14

Hi all. I have not been checking in at all for the last two weeks, and I went embarrassingly, horribly off piste. But, I'm back on it, and have just popped on to say well done on the losses and KOKO to the slow and steadies. And also, to completely NOT stealth but brazenly openly boast that I have lost 50 FUCKING LBS!!!!!!! So proud of myself, and so grateful for the Bootcamp and BIWI. 56lbs/4 stone next! Come on!!!

plumstone · 18/11/2016 12:31

Get in SBJ!!!!!!!!!! a 50lbs loss is definitely worth a "tits out look at me I am fucking awesome" boast ( i don't do stealth)

And on a different tack - how are you planning this weekend???????? Grin xoxo

MrsKoala · 18/11/2016 13:21

Biwi, the only answer is to quit your job of course. You can live on the eternal gratitude of mners can't you?! Wink

If you don't want to/can't do it then, you really mustn't, i know the rules enough to get on with it myself. I'm determined to look and feel as good as i did post bc, so i'll do it whatever happens. If you do do it and want company i'll be there. :)

reader77 · 18/11/2016 14:12

Well done SBJ!

There's me all chuffed with my 2.5 lb haha!
