Morning all!

for the last time this Bootcamp, is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

I hope that this Bootcamp has been successful for you. I have to say, it's been one of the most trouble-free Grin

I'm certainly carrying on, and with a bit more focus Blush given that we now have a holiday booked in 11 weeks time, that will mean I need to be ready to don a swimsuit.

Thanks Overcome, I'll look it up.

BIWI · 05/08/2016 09:49

Welcome, Overcome!

Not a bad week for me, although I was out last night and rather than sticking to gin, started on the wine.

Food choices were all good, although I did help myself to some of the party's chips Blush. I didn't enjoy them as much as I expected though, which was a shame.

I have a day off today, so I'm in bed, with the paper and the cats, enjoying a cup of coffee and a spot of light MNing before I decide what do do. I have absolutely no plans (apart from going off late afternoon to stay with my lovely SIL), which I'm thoroughly enjoying.

Hello all. I'm still off piste. Sad I'm going for a meal with a friend on Mon but intend to get back on track after that. KOKO

IndianaJone · 05/08/2016 23:00

Creeping back in and catching up with the thread. Like Globetrotter I've been totally off the rails but I hope to be back on it now. Started running today and slowly getting back to the zone. Feel like giving myself a good shake for sabotaging myself.

StuntNun · 05/08/2016 23:20

Just checking in as I have no broadband at the moment so I'm not able to log on every day. I have been having an awful time for the past few weeks with moving house and so many things going wrong (we ended up homeless for over two weeks). Still we're in now and I'm all stocked with low carb yummy food so I can get back to eating properly again.

bettyblueeyes83 · 06/08/2016 09:01

Just updating on yesterday's food. Too much alcohol and processed meat but mostly LC. Some surprisingly good options available when eating out for lunch and dinner. No exercise - lots of walking.

B: scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, coffee with cream
L: Chilled cucumber soup, German sausage and cheese salad
D: Korean belly pork with kimchi and lettuce
S: black coffee, pork scratchings, stevia dark chocolate, three gin and slimline (feeling it today...)

wombattoo · 06/08/2016 12:51

Glad to hear you've got it all sorted Stunt Thanks

IndianaJone · 06/08/2016 13:01

stuntnun what a stressful time for you but at least it's all sorted.

I've started well with boiled eggs for breakfast. Lunch will be running mayo and dinner yet to be decided. Tomorrow I go for another run. betty I'm in awe of your 18 miles. That's a long, long walk. Well done!

IndianaJone · 06/08/2016 13:01

Lunch will be tuna mayo and not running mayo!

bettyblueeyes83 · 06/08/2016 15:34

Thanks Indy (if I may call you that!). I certainly felt it the next day in my knees but it was great to get out for a proper walk.

DH accidentally bought 0% fat yogurt. Does anyone know if it can be used as a starter culture for homemade yogurt? I can't think what else to do with the stuff.

IndianaJone · 07/08/2016 10:51

You may betty. Grin I had boiled eggs and coffee with cream for bfast. I have no idea what lunch or dinner will be but it will probably involve the salmon I bought yesterday.

I did my second run for the c25k. Still hard but just a tiny bit easier then the first time. Basically I only ran for about 8 minutes. My body aches. Compared to that you've done well overcome!

wombattoo · 07/08/2016 13:58

Overcome - I'm loving that the DC had The carrot Grin

wombattoo · 07/08/2016 13:59

I once knew someone who used to boil one carrot whole, then when it was cooked, slice it lengthways to share out Grin

bettyblueeyes83 · 07/08/2016 23:04

Hungry snacky day, but did Zumba and yoga and some gym work so maybe that's why.

B: eggs, bacon, avocado, black coffee
L: almond milk protein shake with macadamia nut butter, berries, spinach, flax, chia
D: black farmer sausages with shallots cherry toms and rosemary with celeriac mash and broccoli
S: taramasalata with crudités; three cheese string which I know are horribly processed (they came free in my Ocado which is no excuse); Greek yog with raspberries and coconut flakes

My carbs have been too high for days - mostly alcohol and berries and too much dairy - so I need to tighten up this week, especially as holiday is getting closer. As predicted, after seeing 159 last Monday, my weight has been bouncing around 162 all week and today is 165 which I'm hoping is just glycogen/water that will disappear if I'm stricter this week. I do find the way my weight bounces around on this WOE quite frustrating, if I'm back at 165 again I'll be back to the earliest weeks of bootcamp and I might smash something!

MaryThorne · 08/08/2016 07:03

Saturday I had a cupcake and far too much wine at a friend's party. Paid for it by feeling rubbish all day yesterday. I got a massive sugary head rush straight after eating the cake which felt weird and unpleasant.

Back on it today, I'm planning to fast until this evening in an attempt to reboot my system but may need to resort to some LCHF friendly food in between if Saturday's excesses have knocked me too far off track.

MothershipG · 08/08/2016 07:27

So first day of our stay in Norfolk yesterday, I'm planning to do bootcamp super light, so I will try to avoid the most carby stuff but I am allowing myself lowish carb treats like nuts and berries and I've made some chocolate cup cakes with coconut, ground almonds and Erythritol ( which supposedly doesn't cause an insulin response) and some lowish carb granola.

First evening's tea was somewhat sabotaged because the pesky dog managed to get up on the work surface and ate the bolognase sauce I'd left defrosting on the drainer. When you take into account that he is a toy breed (Affenpinscher) this is no small feat!

bettyblueeyes83 · 08/08/2016 07:52

Mothership, oh no! Grin Obviously that's annoying for you, but a funny mental picture!

I'm thinking adding in fasting might be the way to go too, Mary although I won't try today as I'm working from home and I remember from 5:2 that it's much harder. I get that feeling now after eating sugar, it's horrible.

Well 165 seems to be back for a second day in a row, which is ominous. This means I've gained 5lbs in a week, without so much as a crumb of bagel or a grain of rice! Angry and lots and lots of exercise. But I know I've been drinking too much and being way too lax around slightly higher carb LC foods which all adds up. Going back to BC for a couple of days and will do 16:8 from this eve.
