Morning all!

for the last time this Bootcamp, is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

I hope that this Bootcamp has been successful for you. I have to say, it's been one of the most trouble-free Grin

I'm certainly carrying on, and with a bit more focus Blush given that we now have a holiday booked in 11 weeks time, that will mean I need to be ready to don a swimsuit.

Happy to continue....

And also happy to report that I have found a Cheese cafe! And it was lovely. If you're ever in Liverpool, it is in Derby Square. OMG it was lush!

granjinx · 25/07/2016 19:32

Thank you everyone especially BIWI. Another 1lb gone. Need to KOKO. Will keep checking in and look out for the next Bootcamp.

bettyblueeyes83 · 25/07/2016 20:41

Amazing losses, especially Pippi, well done all!

Am I going to annoy everyone if I keep posting my food? Blush I'll do it quietly, just ignore me...

B: almond milk protein shake with berries spinach flax seed and macadamia nut butter
L: smoked salmon, egg mayo, avocado and mixed salad
D: pork chop mayo Parmesan with left over courgette and garlic gratin and tenderstem broccoli
S: lots of almonds as got hungry on bus, two black Americanos

Was supposed to be less dairy today but my dinner has ended up dairy-heavy! Won't have yoghurt for dessert as I was planning, just a fruit tea.

Flisspaps · 25/07/2016 20:54

Wilf tell me more about the cheese cafe, we go to Liverpool a lot to visit ILs!

IndianaJone · 25/07/2016 21:05

Well done everyone!! I've found the last few weeks pretty difficult. Only lost 1lb this week. I hope to stay on the chat threads for motivation and support.

Some really impressive loses here. Amazing!!

Thank you to BIWI and everyone in here. Without this boot amp I'd have ducked out much earlier/not bothered once I'd had a bad day.

Veryflummoxed · 25/07/2016 21:30

Thanks Wambatto and what amazing losses, all round but especially doing it and pippilotta.

Betty I wasn't intending to post my food tonight but as you say if no one minds I will join you and continue to do so. It has so helped me to focus. (And it felt really weird not to be doing so)

L two hard boiled eggs on dressed green leaves

D curried breast of lamb with caulirice

S another breast of lamb slice.

Gcalgske · 25/07/2016 21:49

B: coffee with cream
L: BLT 'boats' in little gem (2 large bacon rashers across 4 large leaves with 2 cherry tomatoes chopped with hm mayo) 1/2 a large avocado.
D: minced beef and pork fried until crisp, added fish sauce, chilli, ginger garlic, lime juice, sesame oil, spring onion, shredded cabbage and radishes. Was YUMMERs.

BIWI · 25/07/2016 22:06

Please don't stop posting your food/meals! It's useful for everyone else, as well as something that can help keep you on track.

I'm joining in:

B - Total yoghurt and extra thick double cream (I don't normally add cream, but the shops near work only sell 0% fat yoghurt, so this is a way of getting the fat levels up)
L - (provided by work, for a meeting) Chicken, pesto and buffalo mozzarella salad (helpful website tells me that this was 7.3g carbs
S - small handful of mixed, roasted, salted nuts while cooking
D - roast chicken (breast meat, skin on), green salad with avocado and bacon and spring onions, mixed pan-fried veg (broccoli, baby sweetcorn, leeks and chilli)

I had too many cups of coffee today - around 5? - which was sort of mindless. People in the office are very generous about making tea/coffee and it's all too easy to accept an offer without actually thinking 'do I really need another one?'. So far have drunk at least 2 litres of water, and will drink a bit more before I go to bed.

Hello! I never added myself to the spreadsheet as I joined really late on so thought I'd post my loss here. I've lost 11lbs in two weeks, am really chuffed. Had a slight cheat day yesterday (mcflurry, oops) but overall I've found it easy to stick to and lots more healthy than the way I are before. My tummy feels much better; no bloating or gas.

So I'll def be continuing; I'd like to lose another stone at least, maybe 2. Slightly concerned about our holiday, we are going away for a week in the uk with family which is self catering but we are sharing the costs, I've found eating this way really expensive with all the meat and eggs. Any ideas on eating this way with an eye on costs? We are doing a tesco order for when we arrive

DoctoraNova · 26/07/2016 14:44

Hi everyone. Well done on your amazing boot camp result ms, very motivating.

I haven't managed to weigh in yet because we were away camping, will do tomorrow.

Very keen to keep going, have about 4-5lbs to lose and they're very sticky! Grin

wombattoo · 26/07/2016 17:03

Hi Babs That is an incredible loss in 2 weeks. Well done Thanks

Auriga · 26/07/2016 17:13

I haven't lost weight (well, 2% of total) but my waist is much smaller and I feel better. Arthritis is also better. For various reasons I've adopted a lite approach and am tolerating it well, so will continue indefinitely.

Sadly DH is seeing no results and he's the main reason I wanted to change the way we eat (diabetes and heat disease) but at least he hasn't gained any weight, including on holiday.

blackteaplease · 26/07/2016 18:31

I have lost around 4.5lbs this bootcamp which is disappointing but entirely my fault. I haven't had enough willpower to stick to the rules completely. Still a loss is better than nothing so I will koko and see if I can shift this last half stone.

Anyone got any ideas for camping food in France with no electric

AuntieMaggie · 26/07/2016 18:39

Hi all - well done on the losses ladies sone fantastic results here!

I'm finishing off at 98kg after going up and down again last week. I've lost very slowly on this BC but think I've lost 4kg from memory (can't open the spreadsheet) I'm koko but need to look again at what I'm eating when I'm not so tired (ds not sleeping ) as I want to lose a decent amount in the next few months. I also need to stop baking for charity as I can turn it down when I'm not surrounded by it permanently!

BIWI · 26/07/2016 19:16

Auriga - is your DH also doing Bootcamp Light? You may find that he needs to go a little lower with his carbs.

OP posts:
BIWI · 26/07/2016 19:16

... but another question - is he on medication?

OP posts:
Auriga · 26/07/2016 20:05

He's only on oral medication. He's not adhering strictly to BC but even with what he's doing, his sugars have improved and cholesterol is not worse. Of course I can only advise (and cook accordingly).

BIWI · 26/07/2016 22:25

Well, I think you can count that as a result, surely?!

And medication orally is still medication!

If he really wants to lose weight as well, then he does need to stick to it.

Gcalgske · 26/07/2016 22:25

Todays food has been sparse. Just not hungry Hmm
Had black coffee then a big chicken thigh curry with loads of veg and buttered cauliflower about 4pm. Had a coffee with cream and loads of water. Might have some bacon in a bit.

BIWI · 26/07/2016 23:07

Today was a bit of a repeat of yesterday!

B - yoghurt and cream
L - Pret a Manger Chicken, pesto and mozzarella salad
D - Thinly sliced pork fillet, marinaded in ground cumin and coriander, chilli powder, Chinese 5 spice powder, oregano, salt and pepper, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil and the juice of half a lemon. Fried very quickly in a very hot pan, and served with stir fried cauliflower rice (with shallot, garlic, yellow pepper, baby sweet corn and broccoli)

OP posts:
Veryflummoxed · 27/07/2016 08:06

Food for yesterday a repeated of the day before
L eggs on dressed leaves
D curried lamb and cauli rice

I awoke to the smells of baking this morning which dh is doing for a relative. Am still astonished at how easy it is to ignore. Previously would have sent me running for food.

WilfSell · 27/07/2016 09:51

Someone asked about the Cheese cafe. It was called Cheese & Co and is at the bottom of Water St in Derby Sq. you can order a cheese platter, a meat platter, salad, or just have a giant thing of mozzarella and pesto like I did. I gave them some feedback to put together a low carb platter as everything came with bread etc. They were quite responsive!

The other thing I've discovered, as I've been looking for extra brut bubbles for ages, as they are lower in carbs than ordinary brut Cava/prosecco/champagne, is a new brand. Haven't tried any yet but looking like a good option? am unlikely to buy any soon as am off on hols, so if anyone else does, please feedback? Can only post FB link sorry, my child safe web thing is set to limit alcohol related pages!www.facebook.com/SkinnyProsecco/

WilfSell · 27/07/2016 09:55

Yesterday's food:

B: small handful of raspberries
L: slice of cheese and a few cornichons (Morrisons do the ones with least carb content)
D: DH made Mexican chicken with peppers. Kids had wraps, I just had a big dollop of full fat Greek yoghurt
S: coffee with cream, small handful of Brazil nuts
