Morning all!

for the last time this Bootcamp, is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

I hope that this Bootcamp has been successful for you. I have to say, it's been one of the most trouble-free Grin

I'm certainly carrying on, and with a bit more focus Blush given that we now have a holiday booked in 11 weeks time, that will mean I need to be ready to don a swimsuit.

Hurrah, today am back to my end of Bootcamp weight (and back into the 150s) so the holiday weight has definitely gone. I'm really pleased with that, last year's holiday was what threw me off course and I carried on eating unhealthily when I got back and gained a fair bit of weight. I'd say I'm eating moderate carb at the moment, about 40-60g per day, but weight seems to still be coming off (touch wood!) so am thinking I'll stick to this until beginning of next BC...which will probably be a shock to the system as I've got rather used to nuts, berries, and dark choc/cacao recipes!

wombattoo · 17/09/2016 16:41

Well done betty

TheForeignOffice · 17/09/2016 16:46

Back from hols and on it.

B: BPC
L: 3 boiled eggs, 60g cheese
D: roast chicken , celeriac chips

3 litres water

Veryflummoxed · 19/09/2016 00:38

Well done Betty and Theforiegnoffice.

My summer holiday cravings are starting to subside now I think. Got to dinner this evening and realised I'd only eaten a very small price of stilton all day. Dinner was delicious too. I had the pork chop with Parmesan, pan fried sprouts with bacon, samphire and celeriac dauphinois.

Hello all - I lurked on BIWI threads in 2012 after DD2 (born February) and dropped 30 kilos to 70kg. Mostly managed to maintain until last March - when I started running.

Did a half marathon in May, steadfastly ignoring the bulge... After a summer of holidays and 40th celebrations I could ignore the weight no more. Back on bootcamp from last Monday, and finally put batteries back in my scales. 82kg this morning - FFS! I dread to think what I was last Monday.

So - am bootcamping until October bootcamp. Initial goal is 76kg - the upper limit of what I felt was acceptable when I was weighing myself regularly (the ONLY way I can actually keep a lid on my weight, I have realised). Mini goal, under 80kg. Actual goal 67kg - bang in the middle of healthy weight for my height.

Had a good weekend foodwise. Today:

B Eggs scrambled in butter, mushrooms in butter, coffee + cream
L Avocado, little gem, salmon and mayo
D Tarragon chicken (IPD) with buttered leeks and savage cabbage
3 litres of water

Am over needing to snack after being on it last week. Have good weeks everyone.

wombattoo · 19/09/2016 16:58

Welcome fufulina
savage cabbage sounds tough Grin

lasttimeround · 19/09/2016 17:20

Nice to have more of us as we get back from the summer. I'm down a measly 400g this week. Bah! But I've been really to plan so think some of the lack of weightloss is down to starting exercise and that's actually a good thing.
Also I'm now just under 11stone hurrah.

SestraClone · 19/09/2016 17:46

Made this tonight, really tasty! Left the breadcrumbs off, obviously.

Oh! Unexpected situation resulted in emergency take away last night. Not LC. Feel dreadful this morning, thick head and hungry. Sad

BIWI · 20/09/2016 07:43

Grin @ savage cabbage!!!

I'm back after 4 days with my DB and DSIL, as sadly my dad is very ill again.

Unfortunately, staying with them means that although they are very hospitable, it's a classic high carb/low fat household (DSIL believes that fat is the work of the devil and that low carbing is the faddish fad to define all fads). Plus the worry and upset of my dad's situation meant that it was also a very high alcohol few days.

And boy, can't I tell this morning Sad

I was already worried that I hadn't managed to get on top of things prior to my holiday (now only three weeks away), but this has made it considerably worse.

Not quite sure how I'm going to manage the next three weeks, but it's going to have to be drastic!

Sorry BIWI Flowers

margaritasbythesea · 20/09/2016 09:38

I'm sorry to hear that BIWI.

fufulina · 20/09/2016 11:40

Sorry to hear that BIWI - I'd send flowers but am shit with emoticons. Hope all gets resolved.

KOKO

B Scrambled eggs in butter, mushrooms + coffee and cream
L: Ginger pig ham (AMAZING), lettuce, avocado + mayo
D: IPD cod loin with tomatoes, courgetti (with my new spiralizer!) and rocket and parmesan.
No wine.
No chocolate.
3 litres of water.

I heart a savage cabbage. The cabbage carbonara recipe linked upthread was amazing, btw.

wombattoo · 20/09/2016 17:16

Sorry to hear about your dad BIWI Thanks
I have eating rubbish stuff for weeks. Can't seem to stop myself and there is no excuse for it. My midriff is huge and uncomfortable but every day is a new day and a restart.
Well done last

SestraClone · 20/09/2016 19:32

Sorry about your Dad BIWI, hope he is ok and you survived your hangover

I made this yummy stroganoff, replacing the brandy for beef stock www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/beef-recipes/beef-stroganoff/

I'm also sorry to hear about your dad BIWI and also feel your pain with regard to high carb eating environments. Last week I was in a hotel with an awfully tempting breakfast buffet Blush

Anyway, I'm at the end of day 4 restart and going OK.

PlantpotPookins · 20/09/2016 21:13

Am joining your ongoing bootcarb (ish) thread. Im back to paleo as I need to get my weight moving again. Ive maintained for about a year which is great but it would seem that the only way that the scales will move down is back to low carb ish. Think its an age thing and the way my body works now with carbs.

HammerToFall · 21/09/2016 10:50

I have found a really nice buffalo sauce to coat chicken wings in. The the franks one from Asda and only has 2gms of carbs in the whole bottle. I just fry the wings then toss in the warmed through sauce - amazing !

Sorry about your dad, BIWI.

I'm KOKO this week, so that's me on day 10 with one night off - cocktails at a party that were likely loaded with sugar, I didn't eat any of the party food though Smile next day's carb cravings were awful but I resisted!

fufulina · 21/09/2016 16:44

Day 10 in the low carb bootcamp.

B: scrambled eggs, mushrooms and coffee + cream
L: smoked salmon, avocado, rocket and parmesan
D: Slow roast shoulder of lamb, celeriac dauph and broccoli

S: about 3 brazils
W: about 2 litres so far.

I don't normally eat this well during the week - my mum is staying!
Picked up a winter coat from dry cleaning and another reminder of why I need to do this - veeeerrrrryy tight across the back and boobs.

KOKO

wombattoo · 21/09/2016 16:52

keepon the next boot camp is mid October I think. I'd need to check back on the thread. BIWI has posted the date on here

BIWI · 21/09/2016 17:36

Next Bootcamp will start on 24 October. It will only be an 8 week one this time; I can't start it earlier than this as I'm on holiday.

Flowers BIWI I hope your dad is getting better.
I'm getting a little fed up of meat and am discovering vegetables with lots of oil/butter.
B - Greek yoghurt
L - salmon with courgettes in oil
D - mushroom cheese omelette.

I'm also going light for a while and eating a few nuts and the occasional apple. I miss apples the most of all things.
KOKO folks.
