Morning all!

for the last time this Bootcamp, is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

I hope that this Bootcamp has been successful for you. I have to say, it's been one of the most trouble-free Grin

I'm certainly carrying on, and with a bit more focus Blush given that we now have a holiday booked in 11 weeks time, that will mean I need to be ready to don a swimsuit.

BIWI · 14/09/2016 21:24

inaclearing your DH is quite right!

Please don't resort to laxatives unless you are really, definitely constipated. By which I mean not that you haven't been in the last ten minutes, but that you haven't been for some time (more than a couple of days) and that when you do try to go, it's really painful.

And in the meantime, keep drinking plenty of water, eating plenty of fat, and make sure you're eating lots of veg/salad

Pretty much stalled on weightloss. I'm low carbing but there's been blips. But my waist measurement is at 32 inches today which is one of my health goals. Hugely pleased with that.
Keep on troops!

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 15/09/2016 10:38

Laxative episode has now passed....

I went to Aqua-fat last night. Was a laugh and I worked hard. I can't do any exercise that impacts on my joints as I am riddled with arthritis (which funnily enough has improved ten fold since low carbing)

I wore a tankini to Aqua - blob

I lost my pants and flashed my tits as the top ran up...

Went to M&S today and bought a one piece swimsuit.

Size 16!!! Urggghhhhhhh

margaritasbythesea · 15/09/2016 14:54

Great news ina clearing and last time. Well done.

Any recommendations for puddings without artificial sweeteners? My dinners are a bit boring at the moment because of the heat. I'd like something afterwards. Maybe lemony?

SestraClone · 15/09/2016 15:42

Look what I found in the sandwich section of Tesco! Finally a "sandwich" we can grab & go.

Veryflummoxed · 15/09/2016 17:21

That looks good Sestra. Please post a verdict. (Assuming you bought it)

Food today

B two boiled eggs. Green leaves celery stick Mayo
L hm mushroom soup
D meatzza and salad.

I'm pleased with myself because I've had no scratchings today which I've developed a craving for. I know they are low carb but I'm trying to limit the processed (and my poor teeth)

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 15/09/2016 17:41

Today's food

B- full fat yogurt and some blueberries

L - large salmon steak with a salad and some mayo mixed with dill and a bit of lemon juice to make a dressing

D- chicken casserole with carrots and mushrooms and tarragon served with cauli

Was a bit peckish earlier so ate some Parma ham

wombattoo · 15/09/2016 17:54

Ooh Sestra - have you tried the omelette wraps yet impatient

SestraClone · 15/09/2016 20:21

Yes, sorry Grin

Very nice, very filling. SO nice to just be able to grab something at the sarnie section! A bit too much grated carrot, I pulled most of that out. Also has boiled egg, ham, spinach & cream cheese as the filling. Wrap doesn't quite taste like bread but its very thin and not omelttey.

SestraClone · 15/09/2016 20:23

Also noticed Tesco had a pic n mix picnic section alongside the sandwiches, which included packs with boiled eggs, shredded ham, roast chicken, mozerella/tomato salad etc - perfect from a grab & go lunch! You can pick for 4 items for £4.

lexloofah · 15/09/2016 21:34

Helloooo, I had the summer off LCHF due to moving house, an operation, family stress blah, blah, blah and now weigh several lbs more and feel rotten if anyone needs a cautionary tale, when does the next bootcamp start please BIWI ?

nekobus · 15/09/2016 22:21

Welcome back lex!

Thanks for that info Sestra, nice to see some interesting options there!

I've managed to shift 5 pounds over last few days, back to 175 which is such a relief after my carby twattishness over the summer.

I've started going to a HIIT class too which may be helping Smile

Food today:
B - 2 streaky bacon, 2 eggs, spinach fried in oil
L - big salad of leaves, cucumber, olives, avo and peppered mackerel
D - steak, mushrooms, broccoli and asparagus with lots of butter
S - 85% choc

lasttimeround · 16/09/2016 09:02

lex next ones mid October
margarita I hesitate to call this pudding but I've been mixing a little lemon flavouring into Greek yoghurt

Also fat bombs coconut oil plus lemon flavour melted then into silicone ice cube trays. I sometimes go half and half with butter as coconut oil is so expensive.

lexloofah · 16/09/2016 12:24

thanks neko and last, am starting back on Monday so should be well into the groove for the next bootcamp - have a lovely weekend everyone!

margaritasbythesea · 16/09/2016 14:37

I might have a go at those fat bombs. I think someone posted some chocolate and peanut butter ones once. I'll search that out too.

I just had steak with a very simple blue cheese sauce - just meat juices, a spoon of cream cheese and a bit of gorgonzola. Took about a minute to make and was lush.

wombattoo · 16/09/2016 19:19

Welcome back Lex

notsoold · 16/09/2016 20:04

I have been low carb (as in under 25g of carbs per day) since June to great results. My blood sugars are normal and not pre diabetic anymore.
But now party season is on for us with birthdays galore. A lot of treats use some sugar replacement but I went without any sweetners and would like to avoid them as much as possible and still provide nice and tasty party food . I will be the main cook but where do I start to look for recipes, please? I am at loss...
Thank you

nekobus · 16/09/2016 21:06

Margaritas I use this recipe for chocolate peanut (or almond or combo) fat bombs
screwedonstraight.net/keto-diet-peanut-butter-cup-fat-bombs/
You can use less sweetener and I don't have sugar free vanilla syrup so just use vanilla powder. They are fab (need kept in fridge or better freezer)

Notsoold I would get on Pinterest and search for low carb or keto party food there is so much on there!

lasttimeround · 17/09/2016 07:46

I make data bombs by melting 2 squares dark chocolate with enough fat ( butter usually ) to bring that up to 100g. That fills 8 ice cube squares. Made the most recent batch with raspberry infused dark chocolate. Lovely.

PapaverSomniferum · 17/09/2016 09:03

notsoold how about this? It might not be sweet enough for people who are used to sugary shit, but I think it's delicious and it certainly feels like a treat.

Gosh I can exercise again. The big drawback for me of going properly low carb is I just couldn't exert myself without running into the wall and just feeling I couldn't. I'd read it takes a while to get fat adapted for exercise but felt worried it wouldn't happen. Anyway this week after 4 months of low carb with a few slips I've been to the gym 3 times. Twice in the morning on nothing but coffee and it's fine. Brilliant!

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2016 11:46

Thanks for the ideas - although I confess I solved yesterday's 'afters' dilemma in a very different way. We went out to get shurros and chocolate for the children - churros are a sort of doughnut covered in sugar that you dip in thick hot chocolate. THe children didn't like theirs and I practically hoovered them up. Oh dear.

PapaverSomniferum · 17/09/2016 12:23

I just made the chocolate mousse/pudding again - that hits the wicked sweet spot for me. Just butter, cream, cocoa powder and a couple of squares of 85% cocoa chocolate melted and whisked together with ground nutmeg and vanilla. Pour into a ramekin and chill.

Also, berry crumble, with butter, ground almond and chopped nut topping.

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2016 15:08

Those both sound lovely. Thanks.
