Morning all!

for the last time this Bootcamp, is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

I hope that this Bootcamp has been successful for you. I have to say, it's been one of the most trouble-free Grin

I'm certainly carrying on, and with a bit more focus Blush given that we now have a holiday booked in 11 weeks time, that will mean I need to be ready to don a swimsuit.

Water? Gallons, my mouth feels thick all the time so I feel I need to refresh - I've pretty much got water on the go all day.

WilfSell · 07/09/2016 14:11

Ah Mothership, the wonderful 'not obese' category... drool I can't wait to get into it Grin

Hello all. Back from more holidays and back on it now kids are back at school. I've been pretty much sticking to the LC light plan (in which almost all carbs were ALCOHOL - oops) the whole time (12 weeks now I think!). Weight loss dropped off this week though (time of the month!) so hoping to go down into the 13s on my Friday weigh in.

Will be really happy to kickstart a full on bootcamp in October too but still hoping to keep losing before then.

BIWI · 07/09/2016 20:25

How much, exactly, breakfast?! It's important that you drink enough. It may feel like gallons, but is it really?

Welcome back, Wilf! Sounds like you're done really well.

I have a glass litre bottle on my desk in work and fill it 2 or 3 times during the day, throughout the evening I guess I fill my pint glass up at least 3 times. Is that enough?

breakfastbap · 07/09/2016 20:37

Plus 3 large cups of tea throughout the day too 👌👌🚽🚽

PapaverSomniferum · 08/09/2016 10:13

Am feeling a lot better this week. Still totally on-plan with the food just not the wine and enjoying my food more.

This week's challenge is not to eat my own body weight in 'crabby crumble' - berry crumble with a topping of ground almonds, crushed pecans and brazils, and butter. 🐷🐷🐷

Was craving chocolate last night whilst watching Bake Off, and made the most divine 'pudding'... melted some butter in a pan with cocoa powder, a couple of squares of 85% cocoa chocolate, ground nutmeg and vanilla, and a big swish of double cream. It was bloody lush! Didn't eat anything like all of it, as it was incredibly rich and potent. It really hit the chocolate/pudding spot, though.

BIWI · 08/09/2016 10:23

Bake Off is perhaps not the best programme for a low carber to be watching Grin

Ah but BIWI I do love a bit of Bake Off... the endless innuendos from Mel & Sue, Mary being all regal and National Treasure-ish, Paul Hollywood strutting about like a over-sexed bull while Mel & Sue take the piss out of him, the drama, the tears, the collapsed show stoppers, the gorgeous kitchen equipment... what's not to love?? I love the fact that it's always hammering it down with rain outside the tent, too; it's just so British! Grin

Glad you powered through Papaver, welcome Livvy :)

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 08/09/2016 13:39

Welcome livvy - I am a new starter too. Been on this a week and a half

PapaverSomniferum · 08/09/2016 14:34

Thanks breakfast. Smile

margaritasbythesea · 08/09/2016 14:48

Hello Livvy

IndianaJone · 08/09/2016 16:34

Hello all,

Quick update - after trying to get back on board several times and failing and being miserable I'm finally bowing out. Trying out slimming world hoping if nothing else it will stop me from giving up totally. Wishing you all luck on your weight loss journey!! Flowers

Veryflummoxed · 08/09/2016 17:43

Good luck IndianaFlowers

bettyblueeyes83 · 08/09/2016 17:48

Good luck Indy, hope you find something that works for you.

Another low-carb GBBO watcher here. I just watch it with something slightly sweet like fruit tea or yoghurt and berries or a couple of squares of dark choc and I find it sates rather than worsens any desire for sweet things. So far anyway: I haven't caught up with bread week yet and I do bloody love bread so we'll see! I've been finding my almond/flax bread (adapted from this recipe www.sarahwilson.com/2014/03/my-paleo-inside-out-bread-recipe/) hits the spot (and solves a problem I've been having of taking a LC lunch when there's no fridge e.g. on long walks).

wombattoo · 08/09/2016 18:36

Hello all. I'm still here Grin
Welcome livvy and papaver I'm so glad you've come through it.
Indiana Good luck. I found it very hard to do SW after being a low carber. I couldn't tolerate the sweetener in low fat food and eating fruit bloated me. I hope you have more luck Thanks

imustbepatient · 08/09/2016 21:19

I've been lurking on this thread for a while, having done a BC about two years ago, and have been low / lowish carbing ever since with a few lapses along the way

I'd love to join you on the next one and do it properly, hope that's ok?

BIWI · 08/09/2016 21:46

Of course it is! Welcome Smile

High fives Papaver and Breakfast! Grin Glad I'm not the only GBBO watcher, it is my most favourite programme. Bread week was hardest so far, I love making bread, I miss making it as well as eating it. And it's a bit of a ritual for me and DD, who is a teenager so there isn't that much tv we share these days.

Welcome to the newbies and good luck to Indy, hope you find something that works for you.

breakfastbap · 09/09/2016 09:16

Anyone else feel warmer than usual on this WOE? I feel like a little furnace is going on inside me. I'm perimenopausal anyway but his is another level.

MothershipG · 09/09/2016 10:18

I do, breakfast, but I had assumed it was hormones not diet as I am also peri menopausal.

SestraClone · 09/09/2016 17:18

Still sticking with it here, doing ok I think but I am attempting a no-weigh September. I will find out in October if I have lost any weight!

Veryflummoxed · 10/09/2016 09:15

Been back on track for several days now. Again having broken nights due to work commitment (hopefully not much longer) and this makes me hungry, plus still a bit off carb craving, so snacking a bit and eating bigger meals but all low carb high fat. Yesterday's dinner was
Belly pork with strong greens and roast broccoli and cauliflower. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and buttered mushrooms. Snacks pork scratchings (I'm trying not too) and yogurt, lunch leftovers from fridge.
