Morning all!

for the last time this Bootcamp, is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

I hope that this Bootcamp has been successful for you. I have to say, it's been one of the most trouble-free Grin

I'm certainly carrying on, and with a bit more focus Blush given that we now have a holiday booked in 11 weeks time, that will mean I need to be ready to don a swimsuit.

Managed to sabotage the kilo off this week by having some of dda popcorn at the movies yesterday. So only .3 of a kg down. Annoyed as I'm hovering just over a 'breakthrough' weight and just dying to get there. It's just water weight but today's my weigh day.
KOKO folks as best you can given the stress about

wombattoo · 29/08/2016 10:55

Keep going last. You will get there.

PapaverSomniferum · 29/08/2016 19:47

Yes BIWI, it certainly adds up easily in Waitrose, especially if you're buying booze like DP does all the time. I think their veg last longer and their meat is better quality (though not as good as the butcher's), and the essentials stuff I find about the same price as Sainsbos. I may be deluding myself, though. Grin

Still feeling shite, but the visual stuff not quite so bad today.

Food Saturday:
B- parfait with celery
L- smoked trout etc.
D- BBQ; pulled pork, courgette, tomatoes. Salad with feta.

Yesterday:
L- crustless quiche
D- steak, roasted celeriac mash, anchovy roasted broccoli, mushroom brandy cream sauce.

Today:
L- crustless quiche
D- BBQ; lamb steaks, harissa yoghurt dip, halloumi, cauliflower 'steaks'.

There has been wine. Best to draw a veil over that. Hmm

A total loss this week of 5lbs. Smile

lisbapalea · 29/08/2016 22:13

Weighed in this morning at 12st 7lb which is about 7lb more than I had hoped - makes me wonder what on earth I must have weighed before I started following bootcamp rules!

But I won't be deterred and have stuck to the plan today and am determined to get below 11st 7lb. My main goal is my 40th, next spring but if I can reach my target by the end of the year it would be amazing.

I def find it harder to stick to the water rules over the weekend when I am out of my usual mon-fri routine so am going to ramp that up over the next few days in the hope that it delivers a whoosh...

Long time lurker - finally decided to post after the inspiring stories of the recent boot camp!
Started LC last Monday for about the 3rd time. I can usually only manage a couple of weeks before quitting but doing ok at the moment. Not missing the carbs for now. I've been doing loads of research and really trying to eat different foods this time instead of just roasted veg with meat! Pinterest is my new favourite app.

This weekend I made the following which were all delicious:

Lamb Souvlaki with Greek feta salad and homemade tzaziki
Brisket of beef in slow cooker
Celeriac dauphinoise
Crustless egg custard - a small serving quells my sweet tooth!

Fat head pizza is on the menu this week at some point.

Also ate out at Byron burger yesterday (always my downfall) and ordered the bunless burger - delicious - and had a couple of white rums with diet coke.
lost 6lb this week so it's going well so far Smile

Just catching up with the thread. I've been a couple of days on track but not posting. Yesterday not so good, back on track today. I love the school holidays and really sad that the end is in sight but being back in a routine will definitely help me with the low carbing.

Veryflummoxed · 30/08/2016 11:53

Well done doorhandles. Your food sounds lovely.

Whistle73 · 30/08/2016 13:41

Hi everyone! Back on it after two weeks off for a lovely holiday. I didn't go crazy on the food, but drank far too much. Overall since the end of BC I put on six pounds but have already lost four of those (since Saturday!) so hopefully it won't be too long until I'm back where I was.

Sometimes I think you need to relax a little and then shock your body back into weight loss mode.

So pleased the thread is still going and people are still having great results Smile

BIWI · 30/08/2016 15:54

I've been thinking about the next Bootcamp - I usually start it in mid-October, so that we have time to squeeze 10 weeks in before Christmas. However, this year I will be sunning myself in the Caribbean at that point!

My plan, therefore, is to do a truncated version - so an 8 week Bootcamp, starting on 24 October. This would mean that our last weigh-in would be Monday 19 December.

How do you all feel about that?

wombattoo · 30/08/2016 16:30

That sounds great to me BIWI - thank you Thanks
The Caribbean - wow Envy

lisbapalea · 30/08/2016 20:01

Sounds good to me biwi - thanks for steering the bootcamp ship!

margaritasbythesea · 30/08/2016 22:53

I am officially back on bootcamp light as of today. I don't have scales so I don't know if I did put on any weight while I was at the beach with my Spanish relatives but I have decided not to buy any. I feel like I am hemorrhaging money buying basics for our new flat - a whole food and cleaning cupboard from scratch in one go! I am interested to see how life without scales is.

Food is very basic as it is so damned hot atm here.
Today was

Eggs scrambled in olive oil
Steak and salad with mayonnaise
Avocado bacon and tomato salad
Water tea and coffee

margaritasbythesea · 30/08/2016 22:55

I'll join the bootcamp ship. Thanks BIWI. Mmm Caribbean ....

BIWI · 30/08/2016 23:21

I know! I can't wait Grin

readyforno2 · 30/08/2016 23:23

I wasn't in this be but will definitely join the next one! We leave for Mexico on the 21st so the 19th fits in perfectly for me.
Doing my own wee be at the moment but looking forward to 'seeing' a few old faces when it starts properly

breakfastbap · 31/08/2016 08:15

I'll be in! I'm still trying my best but wondering if im eating too much salad and veg- i tend to fill my plate with it. Also, I may be eating too much meat. Looking at some of the food diaries on here people dont seem to be eating the amount that I am - I guess if the fats are really high then it kills your appetite. That may be where Im going wrong. Years of being told low fat makes me wonder if im doing the right thing when adding lots of butter or FF mayo to something.
I sometimes get indigestion after eating my morning butter and eggs - this morning I worried i was having a heart attack from all the fat swishing around my system.
Im 4lbs down - not a lot but hanging on in there.

BIWI · 31/08/2016 08:58

Make sure you do some reading about low carbing, breakfastbap - that way you can reassure yourself that fat really isn't an issue! Check out the resources on the spreadsheet - lots of good stuff there

Creeps back in. Had holidays. Miraculously only put on 1 lb. But have been remiss since. Might brave the scales this morning. Trying to get myself back on track.

bettyblueeyes83 · 31/08/2016 12:17

Hello all,

8-week BC leading up to Xmas sounds great, thanks BIWI. I'm hoping I can get to my overall goal of 140 by my birthday which is 14th Dec, so that would suit me well!

Another one creeping back from holiday, from Sicily, land of amazing carby food. My plan was to have one treat item per day, which sort of went out of the window - so I had gelato and wine most days, and I also had some pizza and pasta and lots of amazing sesame bread. It was shocking how quickly I fell back into eating and then craving carbs, and how much worse I felt when I ate lots of sugar. But I did well with low-carb options at breakfast (where endless cake was on offer!) and lunch, and used the hotel gym a lot, including getting a 5k PB time.

So came back to a 5lb gain, and have done two LC 16:8 days - this morning the scales are where the were the day before I left, so I'm hoping it was just carby glycogen gain and it's gone for good. Fingers crossed!

Well done everyone who's staying on track!

Whistle73 · 31/08/2016 13:12

Octobr BC sounds fab BIWI - thank you so much for organising!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 31/08/2016 15:17

October for a bootcamp sounds great! I've also had a couple of more 'relaxed' weeks due to various social events. Have managed to not go too off plan- generally only a day or two per week of some indulgence and the straight back to low carving. I've put on a little bit but know that it will go quite quickly. Have also started a little routine with a kettlebell to help me tone as I lose. I love this way of eating and absolutely see if as a long term way of eating for me. Combined with a couple of 16:8 days and I feel great!

wombattoo · 31/08/2016 19:08

Welcome back everyone Grin

breakfastbap · 31/08/2016 19:34

Oh dear, dropped back the protein and upped the butter today, just have the worst explosive diarrohea (sorry tmi)

My food is as follows

2 eggs with butter
Chopped chicken breast with FF Mayo and lettuce
2 homemade beef burgers with mushrooms, peppers onion fried in butter and burger fat.
About a gallon of water and now a very dodgy tummy

I suffer from IBS anyway and I did wonder if this was going to upset me at some point. It's usually bread and pasta that really sets me off but I'm now wondering if it's onion too.

Veryflummoxed · 31/08/2016 22:24

Eight week Bootcamp starting October sounds great (As does the Caribbean holiday) Thanks BIWI.
