Morning all!

Not a good day for me. Have had a horrible night's sleep (i.e. hardly any) because I have a really nasty cold, which is making breathing difficult.

Have a full-on day at work to look forward to as well, which is nice.

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you all

Just two more weeks to go, so let's keep this last fortnight a strict one.

Oh and what's an egg fast???

GBBO15 · 11/07/2016 13:58

Ok day 2 low carb.
So far:
Yesterday- breakfast Greek yoghurt, lunch almond butter and mixed green salad, dinner quorn and veg stir fry with coconut oil.
Today-
B: total full fat Greek yoghurt
L: egg salad with mayo and cheese
Snack: almonds

Any comments/advice? I'm new to LCHF and being veggie makes it harder.

BabsUnited · 11/07/2016 14:12

Anyone mind if I post what I'm eating? If I'm going wrong anywhere someone please shout. Am breastfeeding so going straight into bc light.

B: two eggs and bacon fried in coconut oil and butter

L: salmon fillet fried in butter, half an avocado, two slices of edam and about 10 cucumber sticks. Small bowl of strawberries (5) and ff yoghurt. Can of Diet Coke (I forgot these weren't good news, I'll make that my last one)

D: will be chicken and avocado salad i think.

NigellasGuest · 11/07/2016 15:11

Hi everyone - would someone please add my name? I don't know how to add a row on the spreadsheet without breaking it

Eva50 · 11/07/2016 15:36

+1lb this week. I deserved it! I am planning on redoing two weeks of bootcamp to get things moving again.

DoctoraNova · 11/07/2016 16:02

Hi again everyone,

BIWI, hope you feeling a little bit better. Time, unfortunately, is the only cure for the common cold.

I saw coconut flour down in the local Eco shop. Anyone know what to do with it? Is it possible to make some really yummy goodies with it? How do people bake or make desserts on a long term low carb way of living?

Hugs to people who appear to have stalled. Check measurements and other non-weight markets like the fit of clothes etc. And just keep going because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

SestraClone · 11/07/2016 17:25

Thats amazing Pip! I think I need to use you as inspiration as I am sure I weigh much more than you so should have lost more! Well done.

SestraClone · 11/07/2016 17:27

GBBO - looks fine apart from maybe dairy, but that is only a problem if it stalls you (Im fine with it but others arent). What's for dinner?

Babs - yours looks great too.

WilfSell · 11/07/2016 18:26

Helloooo.

Sorry about the sniffles BIWI, it's deffo going round. DS2 is still coughing weeks later so rest up!

After my collossal loss in my first three weeks, I only did a pound this week. Inevitable, as y'all said, AND I have my period so puffy with water too. Also went for dinner last weekend with my lovely friend who'd cooked a wonderful low carb meal for us, including cauli couscous. By the time we got to the almond cake drenched in honey and the soused cherries, I didn't have the heart to say no sugar thanks!

So this weekend I've been much more restrained, so hoping I'll lose a bit more this week (I weigh in on a Friday at WW)

Still doing a single fast day, also to re-set my appetite if I've had a bit of sparkling wine at the weekend (which I have Grin). But still (mostly) dry and not eating fruit or fake sweet things.

Have a good week all!

nekobus · 11/07/2016 18:51

sorry to hear you are under the weather BIWI, our house is full of the lurgy this week!

Post camping trip weigh-in this morning and I've put on one pound (was 3 when I checked mid-week) so I think I've got off lightly. Need to do proper catch up with the thread but welcome to new faces and well done on the losses being posted - some amazing achievements Flowers

only 2 weeks left, how has that gone so fast!?!? I'm intending on keeping going after bootcamp with the rest of you Smile

Veryflummoxed · 11/07/2016 19:00

Back to post my food for the day.

Lunch salmon,Boursin,watercress and purple sprouting.

Dinner roast lamb shoulder, celeriac Rosti, roasted cauliflower and broccoli.

Black tea, mint tea, gingerbread tea, water.

SestraClone · 11/07/2016 19:06

Very, do you have a recipe for your celeriac rosti please?

margaritasbythesea · 11/07/2016 19:32

Hello all. Nice to see some losses here Smile

Hope you're feeling better BIWI and others with colds.

I've not weighed myself today. I may do tomorrow. It's my birthday and I am hoping the scales will give me a present!

I'm not so bothered really as I am feeling slimmer. I tried on a dress that had a ruched bit attached to cover tummy wobbles and I had to take it off as I looked better without it. Happy.

regularbutpanickingabit · 11/07/2016 19:44

Weighing in tomorrow but had a quick look this morning and had sts. To be expected (and actually a bonus) considering the spectacular wine investment I made this week.

B - creamy scrambled eggs in butter
L - waitrose crab and egg (3.9g carbs)
D - chicken and crispy skins with cherry toms, broccoli and caulk cheese
S - just ate last night's lamb and green beans leftovers the baby left.

Veryflummoxed · 11/07/2016 19:54

Hi sestraClone dh did it. It was grated celariac with salt and pepper. Then put into the frying pan as a cake. Cooked one side. Slipped out onto plate, turned over onto second plate then back in pan to cook the other side. He fried in butter. I thought it was lovely.

bettyblueeyes83 · 11/07/2016 19:55

Love 'spectacular wine investment'. Makes it sound almost...prudent. Wink

First day of übercamp went well despite working from home and having slight lurgy so being totally sedentary. My Apple Watch is horrified at my sudden inactivity after meeting my exercise goal every day last week - I'm reassuring it that this is a temporary blip.

B: forgot about mushroom omelette so had scrambled egg (just butter) and avocado, black coffee
L: tuna mayo with salad, added some capers and avocado for larks
D: chicken thighs (roasted with some ras-el-hanout and lots of olive oil rather than pan-fried), broccoli and spinach in garlic butter, plus some leftover braised red cabbage
S: was proud not to snack all day, drank tons of water and herbal teas, but did nibble on a carrot and a few olives as I made dinner, and a bit of smoked salmon as I made tomorrow's lunch. Can't help myself!

StuntNun · 11/07/2016 19:57

No weigh in for me this week as I am at the house of carbs my mum's this week with no scales which is probably a good thing. The children and cat are behaving abysmally so in trying to get my brother to go out to the pub with me tonight.

I had a really interesting conversation at work about how stress or lack of sleep can raise your blood glucose levels. So many of us fall off the wagon every once in a while and it got me wondering about how external factors could be the trigger. It might not stop it happening but it could be easier to get back on the wagon if you can say to yourself, "it was just because of stress" and skip the whole self-blame and recriminations.

SestraClone · 11/07/2016 20:23

Thank you very, I will try it! Celeriac is my fave veg just now.

ReggaeShark · 11/07/2016 22:11

Can you still get celeriac then? Not had any round here for a few weeks Hmm

HumphreyCobblers · 11/07/2016 22:19

Hello everyone, congratulations on your efforts so far!

I am sadly popping in to report that my gall bladder has been terrible and I have had to abandon HFLC Sad I am on a low fat diet But the pain has gone, so that is good.

I haven't given up hope of being able to return to Bootcamp at some point, I need to do some research and have the results of my scan.

bettyblueeyes83 · 11/07/2016 22:25

Sorry to hear that Humphrey Flowers

Veryflummoxed · 11/07/2016 22:33

Sorry Humphrey Flowers hope you improve and can eventually return to lchf

Reggae the only place we can get celeriac at the moment is Morrisons, but they always have some.

stilllovingmysleep · 12/07/2016 05:32

Hi all, morning to everyone & best wishes to those who are unwell!
I only lost a tiny amount this week but I'm not that disappointed as I had a high-carb massive dinner on saturday evening. In a way, Monday is not a great day for a weigh-in as it's usually after our weekend (ahem)...exceptions!

Anyway, as has happened in the past, my weight is stuck for the last weeks so I need to get my act together for the last 2 weeks of BC which I will!

NotdeadyetBOING · 12/07/2016 07:25

That celeriac rosti sounds amazing. But don't you need something to bind the grated celeriac together to stay in cake shapes? Like egg or something? Want to try it later so double checking…..

Oh…. and….. forgive me BIWI for I have sinned. Not dreadfully, but at DH's birthday dinner last night I had a chocolate pudding. Actually disappointingly small, but probably for the best. And there might have been some potato involved in the main course. But refused the bread basket God that hurt so not all bad.

stilllovingmysleep · 12/07/2016 07:32

Notdead well done for not going near the bread!
