Morning all!

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

Looks, at last, as if we have a bit of sunshine - at least Darn Sarf.

A bit of a less fraught week for me, so it may even be possible that I hit the gym mid-week, which I haven't done for months.

I'm avoiding the scales this Bootcamp, but tried on a couple of dresses I bought a few weeks ago, which were a little on the tight side. One of them fits perfectly now, and the other one is almost there, so I know things are working. But I know that I've a way to go before I'm 'there'!

Hope those of you who are weighing have a good result today!

Here's to another successful week.

One pound gone for me. I have literally lost a pound a week since the start of BC. But this is fine. I only have about eight pounds to lose now so am KOKO until the middle of August. I'll then have a break for my holiday and back on it in September. This WOE totally suits me, I really don't want to go back to the days of feeling hungry all the time and panicky if I haven't brought enough snacks to work to cope with all my sugar crashes.
I know Slimming World seems to work fantastically for some people and that's great, but I know it's not for me.
Really gutted for the people who are not seeing the results, I can only echo others and wonder if dairy is the culprit.

eleven59 · 04/07/2016 15:39

I haven't weighed this morning as I wasn't at home. I'll weigh tomorrow but I'm not expecting too much as I've had a bit of a rough weekend in hospital with my son. I've tried to be sensible but its not been easy. On Saturday I ate, in the absence of any other choices, a bread roll with butter for breakfast. By mid afternoon, I was bloaty with the stinkiest farts - coincidence? I think not :D Sorry if tmi

ReggaeShark · 04/07/2016 16:35

Didn't weigh myself this morning as I've been a bit half-arsed since Thursday. Only big crime was a piece of chocolate tiffin but there's been a few glasses of wine and poss not enough water. No major carbs like rice pasta potatoes etc apart from tiffin but more of a maintain few days than boot camp. Am currently lying on the floor as have done something in my upper back/neck. Ouch ouch. Really want to lose that last 5-7 lbs though.

wombattoo · 04/07/2016 17:06

Hello all. s/s updated.

There are some really good losses. 4.5lb off for me this week. Thrilled.

Mothership I know it's not what you want to hear, but there is a lot of cheese in your menus. Try 1 week without and see how it goes. It must be very frustrating for you. I have been trying to eating this way for a few years. Last year I thought I'd give Slimming world a go. I threw all logic out of the window and bought low fat stuff and loads of fruit. I GAINED 4lb in my first week. It's def not for me!

eleven I hope DS is ok Thanks

SestraClone · 04/07/2016 17:13

Reggae, hope you are ok Shock

lasttimeround · 04/07/2016 17:16

eleven I hope u our son is better
KOKO everyone

bettyblueeyes83 · 04/07/2016 18:01

Well done everyone. I jumped briefly on the scale this morning and straight off as I appeared to have gained about 5 lbs. Bloody wine and berries and mascarpone cream (and now I've got lots of berries left from cooking for people so not sure what to do with them). So I'm going to wait and see what happens tomorrow morning and log in then.

Does anyone have an opinion on using protein powder on this WOE? I sometimes need to grab something to eat at my gym, either breakfast, lunch, or (if I have a late class) I do sometimes need a snack to take me through. If I haven't had eggs that day, they do a great omelette, but for the days I've already had eggs for breakfast, I'm a bit stuck. They do a smoothie that's unsweetened almond milk, peanut butter, and vanilla whey protein. I know the powder is processed and probably contains sweeteners, so does that rule it out? If I were to find a no-sugar, no-sweetener, low-carb protein powder to use at home, would that be OK? I am aware we're going for high fat not high protein, it's just a shake is convenient.

ReggaeShark · 04/07/2016 18:16

I used to love unsweetened soy protein powder with soy milk. Not to everyone's taste though. Re the berries, freeze 'em for couli when you're allowed it.

SestraClone · 04/07/2016 18:21

Had crispy BBQ lamb cutlets and courgetti cooked with cream/red pesto for dinner. Heavenly!

SestraClone · 04/07/2016 18:23

Myprotein do an unsweetened low carb whey shake.

Veryflummoxed · 04/07/2016 18:49

Oh Sestraclone I have missed your food pictures.

ReggaeShark · 04/07/2016 19:54

I had salmon for dinner with steamed pointy cabbage in a sauce of butter, curry powder and a bit of cream. Twas yum. Have hidden leftovers in deepest fridge so DH doesn't find them (he's got loads of carby stuff he can eat).

margaritasbythesea · 04/07/2016 20:02

0.5lb off. Off to catch up.

Has anyone got good tips about losing a crepey tummy? Hopeful, I know. I suppose if anyone did, they would be off marketing it rather than sitting here giving free advice!

Off to catch up with the rest of the thread.

AuntieMaggie · 04/07/2016 21:13

Thanks SestraClone

Your corgetti looks nice too - I had it fried in butter and garlic with a chicken breast for dinner tonight.

MaryThorne · 04/07/2016 23:03

Hello everyone! Just marking place as I weighed in early on Friday before I came away on holiday. I'm sticking to BC pretty well except not drinking enough water. Hoping the odd glass of wine in the evenings doesn't slow things down too much.

B: Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs made with lots of butter and coffee with cream
L: omelette with cheese and ham, lettuce and cherry tomatoes with vinaigrette dressing and sparkling water
D: beef stroganoff with lettuce and vinaigrette, 2x small glasses wine, coffee with cream

bettyblueeyes83 · 04/07/2016 23:40

I don't know if I'm slowly sliding into carbdom, I feel a bit less in control than before. Food today:

B: scrambled eggs w/ butter & cheese and avocado, coffee with cream
L: roast chicken, feta, olive salad with plenty of olive oil
D: caramelised shallots and bacon smothered pork chop with celeriac mash and tenderstem broccoli
S: coffee with cream, I had a vanilla/almond milk/peanut butter protein shake at the gym that I realised had sweeteners in and I won't have again shame as it was delicious - and I did have some strawberries and blueberries as I don't want to waste them fresh when they are really nice expensive ones from our greengrocer, with mascarpone. It seems wasteful and silly to spurn lovely fresh berries that are full of vitamins so I think I'm going to eke them out slowly over the week, although my weight is up and I've eaten more carbs than I should at the weekend so I know I should probably just bung them in the freezer as suggested.

momofgirls · 05/07/2016 06:32

Positive post - Reached next target of 11stone **154 lb. can someone add please.
Brought some new tops & dress size 14.
Going to be a tempting few days as going to Rome for anniversary celebration. KOKO

eleven59 · 05/07/2016 06:53

I've weighed this morning and despite a weekend of less than ideal eating in hospital (DS will be fine thanks to those who asked) I've lost another 1lb.

Happy with that!

GuyMartinsSideburns · 05/07/2016 06:54

Could someone put my weight in at 129 please? Not great as that's a gain, but i had a few drinks over the wknd etc and imagine it's that. I've not been doing too badly foodwise and I can see that my body is changing shape from the running, even if the scales are all over the place sometimes!

stilllovingmysleep · 05/07/2016 07:06

Hi all, sorry for disappearing. I've had an odd weekwith some carb creep which meant I put on weight this week rather than lost. I am not too angry at myself as it's already under control and also as I know the reasonI had a hard job interview that didn't go well plus other things that were upsetting and just wasn't very organised with eating / meal planning.

Can't believe we're on week 8!! I promise to be much more present & focused this week.

Can I ask what the plan is for next week? I am keen to have a framework here within which I can continue LC eating...

bettyblueeyes83 · 05/07/2016 07:11

Oh dear, well it seems yesterday's gain wasn't a blip, I'm up five pounds on the middle of last week at 167.2. I know I can't have gained 5lbs fat so quickly and I'm a bit mystified because my body fat % has stayed low. But it's very frustrating because after weeks and weeks bouncing around between 165 and 166 and finally seeming to firmly reach 162, I'm back to where I was at the end of week 1. Sad

I know I've been too lax, so I'm going back to bootcamp for a few days to see what that does, and will be putting those berries in the freezer.

margaritasbythesea · 05/07/2016 07:13

Sorry to hear that stilloving.

Veryflummoxed · 05/07/2016 07:19

I forgot to post food yesterday. Definitely no fasting yesterday, feeling hungry again. It was an eating left overs day. We are getting loads more left overs lately - time to start cooking less as while leftovers are a godsend for this way of eating we are starting to throw food away which is not good.

B. Boiled egg and dressed leaves.
L carbonara and mushrooms
D meatzza, green leaves, hm coleslaw and a pickled (in brine) cucumber.

Stillloving Flowersglad you're back.
(Just wondered if you were asking about a plan because you think next week is the final week. Boot camp is ten weeks).

stilllovingmysleep · 05/07/2016 07:23

Veryflummoxed ah thanks for reminding me that BC is 10 weeks, I seem to have thought it was 8 for some reason :)

BettyBlue sorry to hear that but perhaps yes it's time to 'reboot' so to speak and cut out nuts / berries / maybe decrease cheese for a bit to have a couple of strict weeks. Also up water & fat, as we always say.

bettyblueeyes83 · 05/07/2016 07:56

Decrease cheese! Shock

I know you're right but it's one of the most enjoyable things about this WOE so the thought pains me.
