Morning all

As usual, the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

No time to chat this morning - an early start at work - but hope you all have good results

Good to see lots of good news on the thread!
I went to Wimblerain yesterday and took a lc sausage/avocado/spinach/feta salad with mayo plus some thai fishcakes (no potatoes, obviously!) and more mayo. Black coffees, some water (not enough) all good. And then it got really cold and we had 2 large chocolate chip cookies. Really large and really good. First sugar/biscuits I have had since starting. I was a bit gutted but it tasted good and I didn't then go home and have a plate of pasta, a bottle of red wine and a bowl of ice cream like I would normally have done. Fage yoghurt from the tub instead.

Today:
Buffalo mozzarella, salami, black pepper and olive oil
Scratch up lunch from the fridge - leeks, mushrooms, spinach, feta, cream all fried in butter and coconut oil. Fage hog
Need to buy dinner. Am thinking pork chops fried in coconut oil with spinach salad and avocado, tomato
S - might have some celery and pate if I need more lunch

BIWI · 30/06/2016 13:37

NotDead - of the idea of it fills you with horror, it would suggest that there's an emotional connection with food going on rather than you're not fat-adapted.

In reality, IF just means going without breakfast. So you eat your dinner at, say, 7pm, and then you eat your next meal 16 hours later. Which is any time after 11am.

Don't you think you'd be able to do that?

I'm trying to train myself off snacking after my outbreak of Fung fever yesterday. This currently mostly looks like having a sort of 'treat' after every meal, but it is working and hopefully soon I will be able to cut the treats.

Breakfast: egg and Turkish yogurt
Lunch: chicken poached in chicken stock and lemon with cauli tabboleh. Little spoonful of peanut butter.

Dinner should be a bit of steak.

NotdeadyetBOING · 30/06/2016 16:16

Probably do have slightly emotional relationship with food. Or maybe just enjoy it too much! Always wake up thinking about what yummy thing I will have. Always have done. Not the sort of person who has ever 'forgotten to eat'. But not sure it's a bad thing. Just one of life's great pleasures and I look forward to savouring it 3x a day….. Yes - I COULD wait until 11. Just saying I'd be sitting there tapping my fingernails on the table in anticipation Grin

wombattoo · 30/06/2016 17:00

Hi everyone. It's great that we are still inspiring each other. To those who are doing their first bc - you'll have noticed how the threads slow down people drop out as the weeks go on Grin
I naturally do a 15/16 hour fast, as I eat my tea quite early at 4.30 and don't eat again till breakfast between 8/9 am.

I am going on holiday in a week so this is my last push. I always have breakfast and lunch at work, then DH has tea ready for when I get home. I am usually not hungry as I don't eat lunch till 1.30 but I eat because he has cooked for me.
Last weekend we agreed that he would not cook teas this week, and I would just find something if I was hungry.
It has been a huge success. I have had a babybel or a bit of cheese mid evening or a coffee with double cream and I have had a bit of a whoosh.(3lb off)
I weighed today and I am half a pound over 12 stone. I have only once been under 12 stone (by a pound and only lasted 2 days Grin) for years. So I am really hoping that I will be under that by Monday.

Sorry for epic post but thought I'd share Smile

wombattoo · 30/06/2016 17:03

Oh and BIWI I had no idea that M&S did a steak bolognese with courgette. It sounds delicious so I might look for one to try. Thanks

bettyblueeyes83 · 30/06/2016 17:41

Great work wombat, that's really encouraging to read

PlayNice · 30/06/2016 18:21

That's fantastic, wombat! And yeah, it has slowed down, grrr. I liked reading everyone's food! I choose to believe that it's because people are BC independently and not dropping back into the carbs.

nekobus · 30/06/2016 18:51

Well done wombat! Hope you get under 12 soon Smile that's my next mini-goal.

I've had a grazing kind of day which isn't how it's supposed to be at this stage... period is on its way so that's my excuse! I'm not looking forward to camping weekend, fingers crossed its not too wet and we can have lots of BBQ food!

AuntieMaggie · 30/06/2016 19:23

I'm still here Btw just life is very busy... just checked the ss and my weight hasn't been updated for a while and someone has put 218 in one column which makes it look like I gained 118 as the last recorded weight before that was 100.5 Grin

I'm at 98kg now - have been down to 97.5 and back up to 98.5 and down again the past couple of weeks... I think it's water retention...

Anyway, I'm off to Marbella on Fri so last push before then will involve a few days ubercamp and plenty of water!!!

Veryflummoxed · 30/06/2016 19:44

Hi all

I have noticed the threads slowing Wombat I kind of thought it was probably because everyone else isn't as food obsessed as me. (And lead way more exciting lives). Well done on the whoosh.

Breakfast olives and blue cheese
Lunch hm mushroom soup
Dinner left overs from last night (curried lamb breast and courgette salad) and more mushroom soup.

Pudding a cup of gingerbread tea. I am finding this very satisfying as a finish to the meals and have it most nights now.

Tea and water. Still struggling a bit to drink all my water, the miserable weather doesn't help. (I noticed BW didn't respond up thread to the person asking if herb/green tea counts towards water. I took that to mean she's already told us and isn't answering againConfused)

wombattoo · 30/06/2016 19:56

Thanks everyone.
Very I don't think BIWI would deliberately ignore a question - no matter how many times she may have answered it before. Grin
It is very easy to miss questions. I don't know the answer, but I would imagine that all fluid, where not using milk, will count but it's always better to do the full quantity of water if possible.

I have done many bc's and they are always the same in that loads of people sign up to be added to the spreadsheet, some never post but add their weight, some never appear on the thread or spreadsheet and then lots of people drop off week by week.
This has been a very supportive bc and i hope you will all hang around on the thread when it finishes.

wombattoo · 30/06/2016 19:57

Auntie Do you want me to amend the spreadsheet?

lasttimeround · 30/06/2016 20:33

Good, if unimaginative day

B- shake
L- roast chicken celery
D- roast chicken
S-Greek yoghurt

Yay

bettyblueeyes83 · 30/06/2016 20:38

Yes, I will hang around! As others discussed above, I'm not planning on changing much to my diet after BC ends. Maybe more fruit/other veg and a bit more lax on wine, but otherwise I find it very sustainable and enjoyable. I weirdly don't miss sandwiches/toast or the carb part of main meals at all and I'd given up sugar anyway so used to no biscuits etc. (These are probably famous last words before I fall into a major carb binge of course...)

bettyblueeyes83 · 30/06/2016 21:00

Oh and food today:

B: cheesy scrambled eggs with half an avocado, creamy coffee
L: tuna/mayo/Greek yoghurt/capers with mixed salad
D: meatballs in tomato sauce topped with cheese, cauli mash, sauerkraut
S: small piece of cheese, creamy coffee

I did spin class this morning so I suspect I might get hungry again before bed - will have yoghurt if I do

reader77 · 30/06/2016 21:02

I tried that m&s steak bolognese and courgetti this evening. Quite nice.

BIWI · 30/06/2016 21:02

VeryFlummoxed Shock

I don't quite know how to take your comment.

Apologies that I didn't answer it - I genuinely missed it. But that's also why there's a questions thread!

Anyway. Yes, if you're drinking green tea it should, I suppose, count towards your water. But you would, really, be better trying to drink more pure water if you can.

IndianaJone · 30/06/2016 22:26

Evening low carvers!! This has been asked before so apologies but would someone please advise on what types of snacks there are which travel and keep well. OK day today except I had coconut water...then checked the label and discovered it wasn't that great an idea. Not massively sugary but won't be doing that again.

WilfSell · 30/06/2016 22:27

Totally squiffy here after two glasses of very dry bubbles (it's our wedding anniversary). Drunk no alcohol for2.5 weeks so it was a bit of a shock. Also had one of those balanced M&S meals and it was lovely. Thai chicken with courgetti noodles.

Off to bed now before this week's weigh in tomorrow!

Veryflummoxed · 30/06/2016 22:33

Oh sorry BIWI. It was tongue in cheek. I was thinking about my water intake as I wrote. I had wondered about the tea water thing so watched the thread for an answer then forget about it till then. I am very grateful for this thread and the time you and others give to it. Flowers

BIWI · 30/06/2016 22:58

Oh, OK! Grin No worries, Very

Wilf congratulations! Flowers

Indiana why are you planning for snacks? If you've been following Bootcamp rules you should by now be fat-adapted, so you shouldn't need to snack between meals!

IndianaJone · 30/06/2016 23:14

Ouch BIWI!! Your stick is brutal! I'm not honestly. It's a special one off. I'm visiting my in laws and we don't have the best relationship so rather then ask her to accommodate me (which she will make a huge fuss about) I'd rather just pick off what I can and then if hungry have stuff I've brought with me. I know it sounds too much effort but I'd rather do that then put up with the disapproving tuts and mutters.

restinglawyer · 01/07/2016 06:48

Still here, still reading thread every day and taking inspiration from you all. Lost a stone in total (I started 10 days early), and still enjoying this woe and the feeling of (mostly) being in control of what I eat. Just not posting much. Would like to stick around afterwards too please.

DoingItForMyselfAtLast · 01/07/2016 07:18

I'm still here too! Posting rarely, but reading daily when I should be working.

I am one that still needs a snack every now and again, and am quite hungry when mealtimes come around. Whereas previously I would have nibbled constantly, though I am peckish, I am comfortable to wait. This is obviously because my system has reset and I am no longer under the power of sugar. But does this mean I am not yet fat adapted? I am losing slowly and steadily now, and happy with continuing indefinitely, so if it is just the way my body is, so be it.
