1lb down so 11lb altogether. I do wish it was a little quicker but I suppose if I keep going at this rate I will be another two stone down by Christmas!

bettyblueeyes83 · 27/06/2016 11:10

very flummoxed

did she recognise the big stick or were you the only ones buttering everything?

Arf! Grin

nekobus · 27/06/2016 11:11

Half a pound off for me. I know it's in the right direction but can't help being a little disappointed. I am reminding myself of all my NSVs including a new one - I am wearing my engagement ring which came off when preg with DS (~6 years ago...) and has never fitted since!

I need to do some serious LC preparation - going camping for 4 days this weekend. Any tips most welcome!

Well done on all the losses!

Mookbark · 27/06/2016 11:20

Thank you for the website recommendations on the last thread, yet more sites to while away the hours when I'm supposed to be being productive. Grin

So, I'm disappointed today and trying not to be. I lost 0.8lbs, but yesterday I was 1.4lbs lighter than I am today, so it could have been over a 2lb loss. I know I haven't suddenly put on over a pound's worth of fat overnight, I know weight loss isn't linear, I know a weight loss of between 05 - 1lb per week is a good, healthy loss, I know starting exercise increases water weight transiently to help repair muscle damage (I had my second weights session yesterday) and I know that the fact I bought two size 12 dresses last week, which wouldn't have fitted me pre-BC, is much more important. but I am still disappointed D'Oh! Please ignore my whinge, I just needed to admit it to myself. Also, this is the furthest I've got with BC without quitting, so that in itself is an achievement.

Well done all you losers and Flowers to those that haven't. KOKO with me.

Food today will be:
B - two creamy coffees
L - prawn salad with lots of hm mayo and salad dressing
D - grilled salmon with avocado sauce, either salad or roasted veg.
S - halloumi, proscuitto and olives, if needed, spicy chai latter tonight.

anniebambammie · 27/06/2016 11:43

One pound for me! Can't believe it's week 7 already!!!

Really disappointed this morning, my weight has been fluctuating around the 166 mark for 3 weeks.

I'm still craving sugar, I'm still feeling hungry frequently.

My only slip has been 1 piece of cake for DD's birthday a week ago.

Will I eventually start losing or is this the wrong diet for me? Will the sugar cravings ever go or am I doomed to struggle with them forever? Because without the reward of weight lose all this effort feels pointless. SadSadSad

Mookbark · 27/06/2016 12:07

Mothership Flowers
Is it worth posting everything you have eaten in the last week or so, so someone clever can come and critique it? The usual comments are also, are you drinking enough and have you been eating enough fat? Sorry you are despondent. Are you getting any other benefits from this woe? Although I am losing slowly, it is worth it for me because I am not getting cravings, my skin and PMS symptoms are better and I feel generally better. But, if you aren't getting any of those either, then it must be really hard.

PlayNice · 27/06/2016 12:07

I'm so sorry, Mothership :(. Maybe you're due a big whoosh? Did you lose lots in the first few weeks? And are your clothes feeling different?

I think sometimes maybe even if we don't work out, the amount of protein we get on this diet means we build muscle just from walking and doing normal things, so perhaps you're toning up even if you're not losing weight right now?

Cutting out sugar is so good for your health even without the weight loss, but I would feel exactly the same as you if I wasn't losing. That being said, I do always stalk these threads even if I don't do the BC formally, and I have seen so many people stall for weeks and then lose 4 pounds all at once! Hopefully that will be your story very soon!

Titsalinabumsquash · 27/06/2016 12:14

9.14 for me. I am looking and feeling so much slimmer! Smile

My clothes are all baggy and I look healthier, it's fab! Sorry for the boast but I haven't felt this healthy for a long time.

I am using a lot of salad from the garden at the moment. I'm going to attempt to meal plan to try and save some money, my shopping bill has gone up a lot doing this woe.
I'm struggling to find meat free meals that aren't eggs!

Mookbark · 27/06/2016 12:29

Tits Well done. Can I ask (sorry, not being arsey) how you have calculated that? Isn't 9st14 the same as 10st? (14 lbs = 1st) Either way, I'm very jealous as that's where I want to be.

Deadnettle · 27/06/2016 12:34

I've lost 1.2lbs this week despite hospital food, not cooking for myself and limited mobilty. Of course, I could have put weight on. How much does a uterus weigh?

Titsalinabumsquash · 27/06/2016 13:33

Sorry I meant to put 9.13, my pie fingers are clearly not getting any thinner Grin

flyright · 27/06/2016 14:03

I'm KOKO with Mookbark knowing all the things she knows and similarly struggling with faith

0.4 off this week. Not even half a pound.

I know why - wine and dark chocolate - but I have been perfection itself on everything else.

Someone said this diet is unforgiving and I think that's true - still not really sure if I would lose the same amounts by just watching the calories and getting rid of all the effort of making sure I have LC choices
But ( the big but) is I probably wouldn't watch the calories in the way I'm watching this - being LC does keep me very focused on what I eat.

But really 3.6 pounds in the last 6 weeks. Blush

And of course I cant complain ( are you watching me not complaining ) because of course it is because I won't give up the alcohol and chocolate. And I know a loss is a loss and even at this rate by Christmas I'd have over a stone gone and would look better - but its not fast enough. And together with Brexit makes me feel thoroughly miserable.

Smacks self round face and thinks about trying vodka and soda

MothershipG · 27/06/2016 14:30

Can some one take a gander and what I'm eating please.

Yesterday
B - fried belly pork & courgettes
L - chicken breast, courgette, blue cheese
D - bacon with cabbage cooked in cream

Today
B - tuna in oil & Mayo with lettuce
L - home made pork terrine (belly pork + pork liver) with left over cabbage
D - fried belly pork and aubergine

No snacks and 3ltrs water a day

I some times have half a mug of almond milk with a big spoonful of a extra thick cream in the evening, but not every day.

I am surrounded by my annoyingly slim DH and DC who are merrily tucking into all the things I miss, toast, pizza, fruit, cake etc. (Obviously not only those things!)

My clothes aren't feeling looser, I'm not getting any other benefits from this woe, I still crave sweet stuff and I've been stuck around 166 for 3 weeks.

What am I doing wrong? Sad

margaritasbythesea · 27/06/2016 16:40

Just marking place. Will update weight tomorrow. I feel I haven't lost this week but that will be me attacking the gin bottle earlier in the week.

LaserShark · 27/06/2016 16:59

Went away for the weekend and I didn't even try to stick to low carb. I ate and drank everything I shouldn't and too much of it all to boot.

Didn't even consider getting in the scales this morning but have felt dreadful all day, with a very ill stomach in particular. Most definitely back on track now.

Need to stay away from the news, though I just can't. It's like picking a scab, and every time I see another headline the wound bleeds afresh. I am quite glad of my poorly stomach today or I might not be able to resist drowning my Brexit sorrows in another glass or three!

eleven59 · 27/06/2016 17:45

Just over 3lb off for me which makes up for the just over 2 on last week.

My appetiite is decreasing now and I feel I'm not eating for the sake of it. Also not feeling any horrible shaky hunger which is great.

FantasyFanGirl · 27/06/2016 17:55

Congrats to all the losers, hang in there if you haven't lost! My weight has dropped 6lb this week, but most of that is water as I was eating lots of carbs the week before! Thrilled though, and my clothes feel more comfortable if not exactly looser!

B - creamy coffee, greek yoghurt with blueberries and sunflower seeds
L - salad with chicken
D- tomato and feta frittata, LC cauliflower cheese
S- a couple of strawberries, a few almonds, 2 pieces of lindt 90%

WilfSell · 27/06/2016 18:32

So I've added my 5lbs (and last week's loss) to the spreadsheet. Does it save automatically?

Really happy with how it is going. Am being hardcore though, and doing a fastday once a week as well.

Today was that day and I was quite hungry (but not 'crave-y') all day, fended off with black coffee and tea with a tiny bit of milk.

And I've just had the most delicious dinner of minute steak, with artichokes and cornichons, with deep friend celeriac chips. We've never done them before and they are gorgeous: taste just like roast parsnips. Now just need to work out how to make them crispier!

Well done everyone for keeping on or getting back on!

Veryflummoxed · 27/06/2016 18:32

Breakfast last nights leftover dinner (pork and veg)

Snack coffee with cream

Dinner hm asparagus soup. gammon, green salad, mixed salad of cucumber, spring onion, avacado, tomato and red pepper. (Just a touch of red pepper but having avoided tomatoes they are now creeping back in, I do love them though.)much better with water. Should be full amount by bed time.

blackteaplease · 27/06/2016 18:42

1lb up again after the weekend. Still losing overall but still yoyoing.

Must meal plan, it makes a big difference!

wombattoo · 27/06/2016 19:16

Hello everyone. I've updated the s/s
Doingit Well done on you weight loss. That is fantastic
Mothership I can't see anything wrong with your meals. Have you checked portion sizes?

Well done to all those still on track at week 7 Grin

StuntNun · 27/06/2016 19:50

Mothership I don't think you're doing anything wrong. You lost a lot of weight the first week and a good bit the second week, then your weight loss slowed. That's probably your body defending its set point. Alternatively it could be due to vasopressin diuretic hormone which causes water retention. I anticipate that if you KOKO then you will start to see a steadier weight loss. You say you don't feel any slimmer but have you actually taken measurements? I find it heartening to see half an inch or an inch off my waist or hips when the scales are refusing to budge.

BIWI · 27/06/2016 20:27

But you haven't been perfection, have you? Wine and chocolate will not help you!

And yes, I said that this is an unforgiving way of eating. Because it is! But if you follow Bootcamp rules, it does work.

I'm interested that you think LC is an effort compared to calorie counting. Why is that?

BIWI · 27/06/2016 20:29

Mothership I agree with StuntNun, it's likely to be just the point of Bootcamp for you where things do slow down.

However, on the basis of only two days' meals, it's a bit difficult to tell!

It could be that dairy is a problem for you, but it depends on how often you're eating it/how much of it you're eating.
