Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once again

A horribly busy week for me, so apologies if I'm not around quite so much Sad

I hope the scales have been kind to you, but don't forget to take your measurements as well.

Hope you all have a good week

Congrats Work [flowers[

Thanks Biwi, hoping to get back to my previous lower BC weight by the end of the week!

Workinzzz · 14/06/2016 14:13

cider hope your treatment was ok and DS is alright. Apple cider vinegar with the mother is very good for gut health. I also take solgar probiotics and am currently trying to make sauerkraut and kimchi (that's if the kimchi makes it long enough to start fermentation - the fresh mix is blooming delicious and I keep eating it) as I can only buy pastureised sauerkraut here but I know waitrose has live stuff.

I didn't weigh as I forgot and got jeans etc on on Monday morning and today was HECTIC. Will probably leave it until after our holiday now. I managed to throw my kitchen scales on the floor (they were glass) so I'm having to eyeball stuff (according to Amazon prime the new ones should be here Thursday) coincidentally my kimchi will be ready when I get home.

Iam, I haven't had my thyroid levels checked recently. But I have struggled to lose weight most of my life, and had my levels checked in the past and they were fine, so there's no reason to suspect any problems.

BIWI, thanks I will measure myself and see what happens.

wombattoo · 14/06/2016 17:24

Spreadsheet updated.
Cider Hope the treatment went ok and DS is feeling better Thanks
Work Congratulations Thanks
SoMuch very frustrating for you but try and stick with it. We're all rooting for you Thanks

Oh how amazing - dinner was smoked haddock(microwaved in pack from Lidl) and courgetti sauteed in coconut oil, well seasoned with a couple of baby plum tomatoes thrown in. Deeelicious. For someone who has always had smoked haddock with new potatoes and peas this was a real relevation. Glad I got a spiralizer and so happy with this woe. My doctor was happy too yesterday - since I saw her last just over 5 weeks ago I have lost 22lbs.

granjinx · 14/06/2016 17:31

Have to say thank you to you all:)

IndianaJone · 14/06/2016 18:37

Wow granjinx that's an amazing loss!

Congrats work

CiderwithBuda · 14/06/2016 18:40

Congratulations Workinzz! A bootcamp baby! How lovely.

Well done gran! Fab loss in five weeks. Your dinner sounds very tasty too.

Thanks for all wishes for my treatment. Went fine. Last one tomorrow. Yay! Boob is a bit tender but doing well all things considered! And not feeling nearly as tired today as I was over the weekend. Have upped DS's medication so hopefully that will help.

I've been faffing about a bit last couple of days food wise. Nothing really bad but a few not so good things. Going to put that behind me and get back to basics. Will read up on übercamp and maybe try that for a few days to give me a boost.

Gcalske- what exactly does "apple cider vinegar with the mother" actually mean??? I live in cider country so maybe I should know! I should be at least able to buy some locally! I've never tried kimchi. Maybe I should be brave. I know ferment d foods are supposed to be really good for you.

IndianaJone · 14/06/2016 18:41

Quick question- does anyone know if we are allowed to have natural yogurt drinks like Kefir?

Mookbark · 14/06/2016 18:59

Congratulations to work for having a bootcamp baby, gran for a superb weight loss and cider for just having one session to go! Yay. Flowers
I'm off to reading group soon, or as DS1 calls it, "getting drunk group". Grin In fact, I rarely do because I often drive, as I am tonight. Someone is bringing prosecco as we are celebrating something, can't remember what exactly, I think it may be the start is someone's mat leave, but we don't need much of an excuse. I'll have half a glass, which I think is the first alcohol I've had since ?29th April. I've eaten, chicken and spinach curry with cauli rice, so hopefully won't be tempted by any snacks.

Can I ask a question BIWI? You say not to eat if not hungry, but does that extend to missing meals? I had two creamy coffees this morning (8am, then 9am), then I had olives, prosciutto and halloumi at about 11am. I then wasn't hungry, so didn't have my planned lunch. Got home at 6pm and had dinner, but only because I'm out at 7pm. I wasn't really hungry and had a small portion, but felt I should have something. I guess normally I could have waited and eaten later. I'm comfortable having two meals a day, but would one meal a day be ok if I didn't want any more? I know some combine lchf with intermittent fasting, so I guess it would be OK? Maybe? Sorry, waffling. Just don't want to eat too little, but also don't want to just eat because it's a supposed meal time.

wombattoo · 14/06/2016 19:34

granjinx What a fantastic loss. Well done Thanks
Mook I think as long as you haven't had any eating problems in the past, then there is no need to eat if you are not hungry or underweight, but make sure you are getting some nutrients.

Gcalgske · 14/06/2016 20:07

cider apple cider vinegar is a fermented vinegar. The mother is the name of the culture. You get pasteurised stuff which is tasty but doesn't help with the gut flora. I love all things fermented hiccough

bettyblueeyes83 · 14/06/2016 20:20

Helpful reminder on the probiotic stuff Gcal, thanks. Sarah Wilson has some good stuff in her books that I read when giving up sugar in Jan. Have put 'raw' sauerkraut in my basket for next online shop (as not quite sure about making my own!).

B: coffee with cream
L: my smoked duck salad of JOY (it was nice)
D: Thai steamed hake pockets (from real meal revolution) with Bok Choi and tender stem broccoli
S: coffee with milk, tea with milk, half an avocado, almonds, hard boiled egg, some shredded cheese

Went for 30 min swim. Really peckish today, just wanted to eat something mid-afternoon: I think it was slightly stress eating so going to try mindfulness app instead next time and go back to having breakfast tomorrow. And avoid milk in hot drinks when out and about and they don't have cream!

lasttimeround · 14/06/2016 20:51

Bit late to update this week but I've sts. Not bad considering there's been a lot of pork scratchings a lot. I've been feeling snacky
Back to set meals and logging cals for a proper loss next week.

lasttimeround · 14/06/2016 20:52

Grangix - that's fabulous

princessconsuelabannahammock · 14/06/2016 20:56

Had a great dinner today bacon wrapped chicken thighs served with roasted swede - using ghee ( was on offer in Lidl) and broccoli, tiny drizzle of gravy.
Feeling less hungry today, thankfully.

B- BPCx2, Greek yoghurt
L- cheese, salami and mayo rolled up
D - as bove
S - Cheese and bacon - small bit

Lost all motivation to exercise however

NotdeadyetBOING · 14/06/2016 21:02

Have just had the MOST delicious supper. Ever.

Anyway - day's food has been:

B - Coffee with cream and 2 cold black farmer sausages left over from kids' supper last night
L: Asparagus frittata.
Snacks: 6 (ahem) slices mozzarella and a Baby bel.
D: Drum roll….. pancetta cooked in butter - with lightly steamed brussel sprouts, FF creme fraiche and seasoning. Over extremely buttery cauli mash. Inhaled it. Want it again. NOW.

….

NotdeadyetBOING · 14/06/2016 21:02

Oh - and huge congrats, Workin. Love a pregnancy Flowers

Veryflummoxed · 14/06/2016 21:33

Not dead I fancy your dinner. I love sprouts. Congratulations on pregnancy work and nearing the end of chemo Cider. Gran that weight loss is amazing. Lots of lovely sounding food again. KOKO to all who feel downhearted.

A Sausage with cucumber and mayo for breakfast

Lunch was hm cauliflower soup with a swirl of cream, lovely.

Dinner roast lamb, mushrooms, broccoli cauliflower mix -well buttered- and spiralised courgette salad with mint/lemon/olive oil dressing. Delicious. Ff gr yogurt

A bit of a weird day to day emotionally which had me looking in the fridge as I passed at intervals so.......a couple of olives at a time, a baby bel, celery with peanut butter, and possibly other stuff I've forgotten, none of which was needed but oh well tomorrow's another day.

lexloofah · 14/06/2016 21:53

hello everyone, sorry not caught up after weekend away yet, hope you are all OK.

Copenhagen was brilliant and fab food but I am afraid it was not as low carb as it should have been so need to draw a rather crumb flecked veil over the last 4 days.

Surprisingly easy to hop back on this morning, really enjoyed my food today and sank gallons of water, scales showed 2lb on, I hope that is the extent of it
