Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

This diet must involve witchcraft. Today I ate halloumi and tomato for breakfast, mountain biked for around 20km with the kids and ate nothing til late afternoon when we got home and had a couple of slices of cheese and ham. Just had a delicious fish, cauliflower and coconut curry. I feel great!

eleven59 · 29/05/2016 17:41

Oh and I'm sleeping better. Anyone else?

BIWI · 29/05/2016 17:50

It's great, isn't it, eleven?!

eleven59 · 29/05/2016 17:53

Yes it certainly is. I'm so glad I stumbled across this bootcamp. Thanks!

WanHeda · 29/05/2016 17:53

No, I am still suffering terrible insomnia and resorting to tablets when it gets too much :(

eleven59 · 29/05/2016 17:55

Is this since starting the diet WanHeda??

WanHeda · 29/05/2016 18:22

No, it's long term, it's just that 4 weeks of LC hasn't made any difference to my sleep.

BIWI · 29/05/2016 18:30

It's only 4 weeks though - you might find it starts kicking in soon.

Wanheda last time I did BC, I slept dreadfully. This time, I've been really sleeping well. I'd tell you what I've done differently, but I've no idea! Hopefully, it will help you eventually.
One of the major reasons I wanted to come back to LCing is that I get really swollen, painful breasts just before my period and I've found this woe really helps. Well, I've started my period today and my breasts are perfect Grin apart from the fact I've breastfed three children
Food today was:
B - omelette and two creamy coffees
L - tunas mayonnaise salad
D - from the recipe page, chicken in creamy feta sauce with asparagus in butter. Another great meal. We have deferred this weeks roast as DH wasn't back from his hobby until a bit late.
S - creamy coffee. I try and restrict myself to two, but couldn't resist a third!

Interesting diet doctor article BIWI, I do tend to incline towards 16:8 with this woe without trying too hard, so I may do it formally when my weight loss stalls.
Happy weigh in tomorrow everyone, not sure I'm going to have lost but I'm blaming my period as I have followed the rules to the letter this week.

Reader77 I really enjoy eating fats too - not only is food delicious but I love the fact that I don't have to feel guilty for eating such rich food!
Dinner was turkey breast, lardons mushroom and leek cooked in butter and coconut oil with creme fraiche and cauliflower mash and asparagus. It was delicious and I was was so full I couldn't finish - no complaints from DH about the lack of carbs and he liked it so much that he finished mine and DS's even though he was already full Grin
I'm so glad I stumbled across this boot camp - it came at just the right time. Thanks BIWI and everyone!

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 18:57

A cheese grater - BRILLIANT! I was staring at some cauliflower last night wondering how on earth I could make the rice without a blender… In the end I just roasted florets with paprika and oil which was nice, but tonight think I'll use a grater and fry up with butter or something. Top tip!

Saw something upthread about avoiding nuts. I thought they were to be encouraged, no? I have been adding some to my full fat yogurt in the morning .

AuntieMaggie · 29/05/2016 18:59

Just checking in - haven't read the thread for a few days.

I've stalled again and am having a really odd period Sad

Mookbark · 29/05/2016 19:02

Not no nuts in the first two weeks of boot amp, then sparingly in boot camp lite. They can stall weight loss as the diet doctor BIWI linked to said.
Aunty funny periods are a good thing as it means this woe is starting to work. Koko, it'll be worth it. Flowers

Mookbark · 29/05/2016 19:03

Unless you are vegetarian Not, then they are allowed.

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 19:04

Thanks, Moobark. Not vegetarian so will ditch them for now!

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 19:08

Anyone got any ideas about what to do with tofu?
I would normally just cut into cubes, marinate in soy sauce and bake in oven, but maybe there is something fattier that I could do??

Titsalinabumsquash · 29/05/2016 19:20

I don't feel like I've lost anything this week, a pound off will be fab! I've been very meat heavy though so next week I'm going to aim for more fat and less heavy meat meals... Not sure how I'll do that het but I'll give it a go.

BIWI · 29/05/2016 19:22

Notdeadyet have you read Bootcamp rules?! No nuts in the first two weeks.

Evening all! Day two of our weekend out and about and I have done well apart from not having enough water. Left the big bottles in the car.
B - leftover fish cakes and mayo. Piece of cheese, celery and cream cheese
L - low carb sausage, avocado, spinach salad and mayo
D - pork belly slices with broccoli and cauliflower cheese
S - more fish cakes, homemade meatballs (mil special, no breadcrumbs or flour but some added cheese, just for me!)

Pengweng · 29/05/2016 19:58

Forgot to add food for today.

Breakfast - chicken sausage, mushrooms and broc fried in butter
Lunch - left over butter chicken
Dinner - fried halloumi with a caper, oil, lemon and chilli dressing with salad leaves. Was fricking delicious.
Tomorrow DH is taking the girls to PIL so I can study. Not sure about food, will have to forage. May just be eggs, butter and chicken and broc in some form or other for all meals.

glenthebattleostrich · 29/05/2016 20:02

Hi all,

Just back from a run which was going brilliantly (first 2 miles felt good then started feeling I was exercising) until I tripped over a bloody tree trunk. My knee bloody hurts and my running buddy learned some new words!

Other than that a really good day.

B half a sausage, half a boiled egg and some green tea with coconut oil.
L salmon and prawn salad with some pork scratchings
T chicken and chorizo kebabs with green salad, couple of cherry toms and some cucumber.
W 3 litres

Scales haven't moved but I feel great, I'm less bloated and my skin and nails are in great condition. Hopefully will have a whoosh soon!

WanHeda · 29/05/2016 20:08

I'm getting so many other amazing results from this woe, expecting brilliant sleep would just be greedy Grin.

Had chicken curry & cauli rice for dinner.

WanHeda · 29/05/2016 20:09

Pengweng, what are you studying?

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 20:22

So my food for today:

B: Coffee with semi-skimmed milk (I know - will switch to cream!)
L: BBQ - one sausage, one beef burger, one chicken leg. Mayo. Lettuce. My home made strawberry ice cream (some xylitol - no actual sugar)
S: Fried haloumi, watercress and dressing, cauli rice cooked in butter.

Genuinely not hungry and feeling good. Happy bunny!

reader77 · 29/05/2016 20:56

I'm finding the water guzzling easier today. Maybe my body is adjusting because I'm not going to the loo as much. Having a weird period too. Yuk.

B- creamy coffee.

L- two eggs fried in butter with a small piece of salmon and some green beans.

S- ff yogurt, a mini cheese

D- waitrose broccoli and cauliflower couscous and a bit of a lamb curry ready meal.
