Morning all! I'm excited to see what the scales are telling everyone this week - it sounds like we've had some great results so far!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Here's to another successful week

Yes will have a cooler and should be able to refreezer ice packs so boiled eggs and cheese will be good. I actually have a few of those tuna packets so will get a few more too.
I've just weighed myself and I'm exactly the same as i was on monday! So now I'm annoyed and pissed off. Might be my period which is due in a few days or too much cheese. Either way i will cut out dairy this week as my mum is coming to stay and is vegan so will ne a bit easier as she will give me this Hmm every time i eat anything anyway. Gah! Grin

redskirt3 · 29/05/2016 07:12

Nice to see another Parkrunner Restinglawyer! I'm not going to be able to add any useful thoughts though as I've only started 3 weeks ago and my time is 40 minutes!

lexloofah · 29/05/2016 07:13

neko that chicken looks great

play your Lebanese feast sounds so yummy

good day for me yesterday even with pub lunch out and it seeming like every single person we saw at the scarecrow trail was eating an ice cream or ice lolly, except us of course

lovey ribs for tea which I did in the slow cooker all day then threw on the bbq to crisp up, so very filling and easy

redskirt3 · 29/05/2016 07:14

(Haven't joined spreadsheet as doing this for weight maintenance/general health and well-being rather than weight loss).

Mookbark · 29/05/2016 07:22

I was an intermittent park runner, almost got under 30 minutes once several years ago. However, I'm a bit pissed off at the moment as I've developed plantar fasciitis, so can hardly walk at times, never mind run. Well done all you other park runners. What makes it even more frustrating, is that I can see them from my bedroom window as they run passed!
Peng it's frustrating when the weight loss doesn't do as you want. If it is due to your period, though, you'll get a nice big whoosh later on. I weigh 1.2lbs more today than I did yesterday, which means I am only 0.2lbs less than I was last Monday. But I know I didn't eat 1.2lbs worth of calories yesterday, so I will metaphorically kick the scales but koko. Good luck with your Mum's visit, lchf isn't the most vegan friendly woe, is it? My DBro is vegan and I think he'd faint if he saw what I eat. Grin

boldlygoingsomewhere · 29/05/2016 07:36

Mook, I'm also feeling a bit bunged up! If I haven't lost any weight this week, that'll be why!

MontserratCaballe · 29/05/2016 07:48

Peng, sorry about your weight not moving. Try on some clothes and see if any looser, preferably whilst having a glass of water......

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 08:00

Sorry if I'm being dense, but what is bpc ?

lexloofah · 29/05/2016 08:02

Sayrra, how would you recognize BIWI? does she carry her big stick with her at all times? Or are you listening out for someone asking for 'no potatoes, extra green veg' in Danish Smile

Just had leftover bacon tart for brek with avo, stuffed now, hopefully that means we can skip lunch as going to Cardiff Castle and not sure what the options will be

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 08:04

Morning, fellow LCers.

Having been struggling all day yesterday, I found supper really satisfying. Black Farmer sausages with buttered spinach and roast cauliflower florets.

Feel much better this morning. Day 4. DH (who is v. slim as it happens) is almost jealous and says he wants to join me…. Hilarious.

How do I join the spreadsheet - can I add myself or is there a master spreadsheet operator I need to give the info to so they can do it?

Rather excited by all this talk of mayo. Only thing is, I imagine shop bought stuff like Hellman's is probably full of rubbish so not so good .Am going to check label…..

LaserShark · 29/05/2016 08:09

notdead, bpc is coffee blended with coconut oil and butter. It comes out like a creamy latte.

Mayo v easy to make, there is a paleo whole 30 recipe someone linked to earlier which is so easy and delicious!

restinglawyer · 29/05/2016 08:11

Oh I only started parkrunning in January redskirt so not done many more than you. I envy you being at the weight maintenance stage. I'm hoping less weight = faster running but I'm not sure it's quite that simple, especially once you hit your 50s!

NotdeadyetBOING · 29/05/2016 08:25

Thank you, Lasershark!

SayrraT · 29/05/2016 08:28

lex I was looking out for the big stick, surely she brought it so that she can knock Danish pastries out of my hand if she sees me!

IndianaJone · 29/05/2016 08:40

Morning all!

Stinky how fantastic both the weight loss and the running. I will be trying couch to 5k program in July with a friend.

Off to have my bpc and start the day. Hoping I have energy to keep up with the kids as can just about stand atm. Horrible virus has taken hold at the start of half term. Perfect!

Sorry Indiana - I was grinning at Sayrra, not you! Sorry that you've got the lurgy.

Re breakfast - you don't have to have eggs! If you're sick of them, eat something else.

Mmmm I'm going to try that crunchy chicken next week. I'm getting really into cooking on this as I need to rethink everything.
Do people have meals that work well in a mixed eating household? My DH and dd are both eating carbs so Id like to cook food that's fine for them too. I tend to cook big mixed stews - these are too carby. Im looking for meals where I can add more fat after cooking or have a double portion while they have carbs. Anyone have any tips?

lasttimeround · 29/05/2016 08:46

BTW I love the sound of the mince technique. Going to try that with my next batch.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 29/05/2016 08:46

The Delouis mayonnaise is low carb and delicious! Would recommend if you can't make your own.

IndianaJone · 29/05/2016 08:49

Quite ok...I actually had the image of Sayrra going up to random ladies with big sticks and introducing herself. Had to smile at that!

Eva50 · 29/05/2016 09:13

Ds2 is playing in an orchestral concert this afternoon and we will have to arrive about two hours before the concert starts. I had thought ds3 and I would have lunch out but it's a lovely day here so a picnic may be the best way forward.

B. FF Yogurt, coffee with cream
L. Chicken, prawns, avocado
D. TBC

WanHeda · 29/05/2016 09:29

lasttimeround I tend to make things such as curries/bolognaise/stews/sausages/slow cooked meat etc, and serve theirs with rice/potato/pasta and I swap mine for courgetti, cauli rice, mashed swede or celeraic or a side salad. In fact, two of my kids actually prefer the cauli rice & courgetti to the carby version!

BIWI · 29/05/2016 09:43

You know, the rest of the family can eat low carb food as well! I don't get all this making different meals for everyone else. People won't die if they don't eat pasta or potatoes or rice Grin

It's an important point actually - not only to stop you spending hours in the kitchen - low carbing is actually a healthier way to eat too. It's not just about weight loss.

A high carb diet is associated not only with weight gain and obesity, but also hypertension, diabetes, cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
