Welcome everyone!

We have around 130 people signed up this time, so it's going to be a busy and fast-moving thread.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your weight.

The lovely Sayrra manages the spreadsheet. Please don't mess with it! Just enter your weight and leave all the other columns/rows alone!

I'll start a questions thread to run along side this chat thread, so that you can post stuff there in the knowledge that your question will definitely be seen. (I can't promise to get to your questions immediately, but I will read and answer them)

And please, please, please - no matter how fast-moving the thread is, please read the whole thing and don't just post your own thing. You'll miss a lot of valuable stuff that way, and it also presumes that I (and other posters) are happy to keep repeating stuff.

But above all, very good luck everyone!

Thanks Still now if he makes a lemon tart i'm in trouble but luckily he's shit at pastry so chances of that are slim.

DietChic · 21/05/2016 15:51

Cookie it's 27g but from all the wrong thing; red wine and a small bit of chocolate before cinema. So nothing much from veg - am annoyed to have broken the rules but told myself if was lunch, that's better than having it at dinner. Not sure why...

Mookbark · 21/05/2016 15:55

Loving the photos, might ignore the yummy looking cake one, though. Grin
I'm working today, so was up at 5am and back at 2.30pm. Had a creamy coffee in my travel mug in the car on the way to work, managed to drink 600mls water but didn't get chance to eat until I got home ( Sorry BIWI)
Had scrambled eggs with chorizo cubes and buttered spinach for belated lunch, so nicely full. Tbh, I wasn't particularly hungry despite not eating. Before this woe I would have raided the tuck machine for crisps and chocolate, but just didn't need to.
Have bought chickens thighs for dinner, will have with some veg. Mum wondering if this thread is going to get full before Monday, it's been so busy.

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 21/05/2016 16:15

Aw dietchic that's still a low carb count. You'll do better today. Smile

SoMuchToBits · 21/05/2016 16:22

What are the IPD diet books please, Flisspaps?

I got up very late today, so my breakfast (omelette with bacon, mushroom and a small tomato cooked in butter) was late too. Ds and I are playing in a concert, and going out about 6.15, so I think I'll cook dinner (salmon wrapped in prosciutto, baked with olive oil, spinach and herbs with butter, leeks with butter) for about 5, then when I get back after the concert, I can have lunch (tuna and egg salad with mayonnaise).

I know it's a bit unconventional, but I'll still get all my meals, reasonably evenly spaced!

LaserShark · 21/05/2016 16:37

I'm finishing my meal replacement shakes this week so trying to meal plan to segue smoothly into boot camp. Scanning the thread, I am so excited about avocados, I had forgotten about them and I love them. I'm glad to be in ketosis already so hoping it will be an easy transition. Today I got fish and chips for my children for their lunch and it was amazing to be so uninterested in it myself - I wasn't even remotely tempted to snaffle a chip. I also don't care about the biscuit tin. A month ago I just felt so hungry all the time I could never have ignored them.

wohmum · 21/05/2016 16:38

I've not posted before but am sticking to the plan fairly well - my new favourites snack is celery with pate - easy, quick and very yummy! Otherwise I was chomping through babybels at a rate of knots!

Have also just done wk 5run 3of C25k so feeling very chuffed.
Out for dinner tonight to Chiquitos, I usually have tonnes of tortilla chips so will have to use all my willpower to resist!

anniebambammie · 21/05/2016 16:45

wohmum I also love celery and pate! I often get a few weird looks for that combo but I think it's great!
wombattoo exploded babybels sound like something I need to try asap!! Yummm melty cheese

SoMuchToBits · 21/05/2016 16:54

I don't like celery, but think cucumber sticks and pate could work quite well...

BIWI · 21/05/2016 16:55

IPD = Idiot Proof Diet, written by India Knight and Neris Thomas, and a recipe book to go with it, co-authored with Bee Rawlinson, who created (most of) the recipes. Some really tasty things in there. (The only thing is that some of the quantities are dubious - there's a lovely recipe for Beef Korma which is for two - I doubled the quantities to make it for all four of us, but could have fed the whole street with the result!)

I'm struggling to want to eat today, not that I'm not hungry there is just nothing I really want.
I made butter chicken yesterday so may try that just to stop the hangry carb craving later.

StrawberryLeaf · 21/05/2016 16:59

Stillloving thank you, you are right and that's exactly what I would normally do. Going to try and forget about it and keep going as I was.

Eva50 · 21/05/2016 17:04

B. 2 heck chicken sausages and FF yogurt (not on the same plate)
L. Chicken thigh and salad with mayonnaise
D. Celeriac chips with something ? Probably another chicken thigh

I'm not at all hungry which is amazing.

KP86 · 21/05/2016 17:11

Ooh, exploding Babybels sounds good! Might try that soon. I'm also going to make some egg muffins for this week's breakfasts. Quick and easy.

B: Eggs, mushrooms and bacon
L: Ham and masdaam cheese roll ups
AT: Pork scratchings and large spoon coconut oil
D: Will be salmon pasta (Eat Water Slim Spaghetti noodles - BIWI, not sure if these are permitted on bootcamp, they only have three ingredients and are fungi-based) with a Philadephia stir-through sauce, with broccoli and mushrooms for vegies.

Not enough water for today, but I have not had any SF softdrinks since starting BC, which is pretty impressive for me! And I'm mostly having at least 2L of water per day which is also a big deal.

About 2lb down for the week so far, so yay! I weighed at the doctor yesterday (I wanted them to update my file as I've lost a lot of weight since registration earlier this year) and in 15-odd weeks I've lost about 15kg according to their scales. They are a bit nicer to me than my scales at home but I'm not complaining!

We are out tomorrow and I know I won't be exactly LC but I'm hoping to be as sensible as possible. But I'm motivated by the official weigh in on Monday, want to keep these 2lb off!

Wintersea · 21/05/2016 17:16

Another one not hungry . though I csn be an emotional eater and often find myself opening the fridge door for a little something as a distraction from work or when I'm just at a loose end (snd it doesn't help that my desk is in the corner of the kitchen!) obviously things I need to resolve....
Today
Brunch coffee with cream, leftover meatballs, 3 hard boiled eggs
Lunch Greek salad with olive oil
Dinner Seeking inspiration

BIWI · 21/05/2016 17:20

KP are those noodles based on konjac? If so, they are very much allowed on Bootcamp!

Hello!
Did low carb 3 years ago and lost a fair bit of weight (10kgs)
Sadly I then needed gallbladder surgery and have struggled since really.
I am now almost back up to what I was before but am also suffering quite badly with peri menopause symptoms.
I was wondering if anyone had found this woe had helped this issue? Or not?
Thanks.

reader77 · 21/05/2016 17:21

I'm quite proud at how much water I've drunk today. I usually struggle but it's helped a lot with the carb flu.

BIWI · 21/05/2016 17:22

Bidders - low carbing definitely helps hot flushes. I noticed that when I was on holiday once, eating and drinking all the wrong things. As soon as I went back to low carbing, they all but disappeared.

Flisspaps · 21/05/2016 17:38

Somuch The Idiot Proof Diet - it looks like BIWI has taken that plan and made it even better - there's a cookbook to go with it too Smile

BIWI · 21/05/2016 17:39

Thank you, Flisspaps! Blush

The IPD book is a really good read, though, as it talks a lot about the psychological/emotional side of eating/dieting.

Lovely SIL is doing pizza for tea as we've taken the kids for a sleepover Confused

There's nothing else in, no salad or anything Blush

DoingItForMyselfAtLast · 21/05/2016 17:52

Hi all. Looking forward to my dinner! DH is barbequing homemade burgers and chicken drumsticks. I've just put a celeriac dauphenoise in the oven. Can't wait!

SoMuchToBits · 21/05/2016 17:59

Thank you - I might see if I can get the book from the library.

Another good thing about this WOE is that ds is really enjoying the food too. I'm just adding a bit of extra carbs to his dinners (he had potatoes this evening). But otherwise he's eating the same dinners as me, and at weekends is having the same salads but with bread if he wants.

SoMuchToBits · 21/05/2016 18:00

For lunch, that is - during the week he has lunch at school.
