Morning all

<a class="break-all" href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vwh_9-y9ejMjg_sFMCK38uoPqZZFps39T7RY-VdUaI8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vwh_9-y9ejMjg_sFMCK38uoPqZZFps39T7RY-VdUaI8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

No point me weighing in today as the weekend has been lovely shocking. My official weighing-in day is Friday, so hopefully all will be back to normal by then!

Those of you for whom the scales have slowed/stopped, in weeks 3 and 4, hopefully things will get moving again now.

I'm off to Leeds with work for a couple of days, so who knows what I'll be eating? I have, though, packed some boiled eggs, a pot of Total yoghurt and a couple of sachets of tuna in my little cool box, so I know that I have something to eat if the choices available to me aren't low carb.

Good luck all, and hope this is a good week for all of us

Today:
Creamy coffee
Green smoothie, 2x LC sausages, coffee with cream
2 small pork shoulder steaks, cavolo nero in butter

feekerry · 18/02/2016 20:45

Really??! Shock would be a major shock god I would be horrified if it turned up. Haven't had one for couple of yrs since depo. Will cautiously look out!!!
I am getting tested for glandular fever tomorrow which we strongly suspect I have so may be to do with that. God I am a walking disaster at the mo!!

Gcalgske · 18/02/2016 21:37

Flowers hope it's nothing serious

Nateismine · 18/02/2016 22:21

Just checking in. No wt loss for 2 weeks - probably eating too much dairy but cheese is making this enjoyable.
Cooked fathead pizza with the kids tonight and probably ate far too much. It is amazing and even more amazing is not feeling ill after a pizza binge.

StuntNun · 19/02/2016 07:03

Help! I'm going to Wagamamas for dinner tonight. I haven't been for ages, is there anything low carb to eat or is it all noodles? I can't eat eggs, dairy or soya due to DS4's allergies.

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 19/02/2016 07:26

Stuntnun, lurker here but just wanted to answer your question ... Wagamamas do nice salads! They also do miso soup & tea - stained eggs as side dishes (I know you cant have the eggs though)!. And lovely flowering tea.

BIWI · 19/02/2016 07:38

Feekerry - if you're bloated you need to drink more water. It's really important!

Stunt lots of the stuff has soya (sauce) but their allergy menu is quite good for telling you what's what and they are good at cooking what you need seperatly to accommodate allergies.

One weird thing I noticed was that on the tables they have properly fermented soya sauce (which dd doesn't react to, think the soya protein must be digested by fermentation) but in the kitchen they use 'different' soya sauce which they said was cheaper 'cooking' sauce and had wheat in and wasn't naturally brewed. :( at least in Aberdeen Wagamama.

Gcalgske · 19/02/2016 08:21

I normally have the sirloin salad 7.3g carbs per serving so not bad. You'd have to get them to do it without soya.

Week 5 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the end of part one
Gcalgske · 19/02/2016 08:22

The other salads are 20g + carbs. It's normally a chicken one and a tofu one. I think they marinade the chicken in cornflour :(

shouldiblowthewhistle · 19/02/2016 08:29

Felicity well done! That's my next step - Pilates and some regular exercise.

Went for a 4 hour hike through the Peak District yesterday and succumbed to some carbs afterwards. Mainly due to getting lost and eventually finding the only pub for miles to catch a cab home so stuck for food options. Carried my 5 stone of extra weight with me the whole way, but was badly prepped regarding food and maps. I have to start going to the gym soon.

Re getting enough water - I've found it much easier when I have 2 pints of water at breakfast (or before I leave for work), a 2 litre bottle at work which must be finished by the time I get home, and then I drink a few pints of sparkling water in the evening to feel like I'm having a treat. The days I skip the morning litre are the days I struggle.

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 19/02/2016 08:37

ShouldI how many litres are you drinking? Shockyouve described at least 4 there! That's loads!

Mookbark · 19/02/2016 09:12

Vince have you seen the amount to drink tab on the spreadsheet of fabulousness? It gives amounts to drink based on weight, but the lowest amount is bout 2.5, so we all should be drinking loads. Smile
Feeling in a good mood today, mainly as I'm not working this weekend and it looks like I'll get to leave early. So, I'll go to the gym on the way home.
Food today:
B - 2x creamy coffee, avocado
L - mackerel late, lettuce and cucumber
D - might nip into the farm shop and treat us yo steak. Will do a peppercorn sauce, creamed spinach and asparagus. Might have to have a glass of red with it. Grin
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Thanks

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 19/02/2016 09:24

Yes I have, I should be drinking 3l (usually do 2.5) but 4 sounds epic!

StuntNun · 19/02/2016 09:27

Thanks very much for the Wagamamas tips. DH and I both eat low carb so it probably isn't the best place to go but I know they're great for allergies in there because everything is cooked to order. The only other option near the cinema is a Five Guys but they're not so great for allergies. I'm very excited to be going to see a 15 film (Deadpool) since I usually only get to see kids films these days.

shouldiblowthewhistle · 19/02/2016 10:04

I should be drinking 4L (I have a lot to lose!). It's fine unless I don't drink enough water during the day, because 4L in an evening is just too, too much.

StuntNun · 19/02/2016 10:20

I often end up drinking a couple of pints of water in the evening because I'm thirsty and then having to get up to pee in the night. So annoying!

FelicityFunknickle · 19/02/2016 10:25

shouldiblowthewhistle impressive water intake. I need to up mine.
Walking is the best. Someone on mn once described it as "silent therapy" so true.
I am lunching in Mcdonald's today Blush I assume their grilled chicken salad is fairly low carb. Otherwise I'll just have a black coffee, but I don't want to look silly abstaining in front of ds and his friends/ their parents.

Gcalgske · 19/02/2016 10:36

Grilled chicken salad (ex dressing) is about 5g in the whole thing. Xx

Mookbark · 19/02/2016 10:39

You could have the bacon in the McD salad, too, I would have thought? Will up the fat content without too many extra carbs.

Gcalgske · 19/02/2016 10:41

It's good to drink lots, but try to stick to the amounts on the spread sheet (or there about, just be sensible). Far too much and mineral depletion ensues - cramps, foggy thinking etc. Can be dangerous if taken to extremes. If you've drank all your water and still feel thirsty try drinking a small amount with lo salt / lemon juice in, sometimes mineral / electrolyte depletion makes you think you are thirsty (when drinking is the last thing you should do)

StillEndOfMyTether · 19/02/2016 10:48

Hi! How do I go about joining or do u have to wait till the next one?

MissSmiley · 19/02/2016 11:13

Hello just lurking but can't work out what STS means?

shouldiblowthewhistle · 19/02/2016 11:19

Silent therapy is a good way to describe it. It's the most natural movement. I love walking. Good luck at Maccy D's.

shouldiblowthewhistle · 19/02/2016 11:22

STS - stayed the same
