Morning all

<a class="break-all" href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vwh_9-y9ejMjg_sFMCK38uoPqZZFps39T7RY-VdUaI8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vwh_9-y9ejMjg_sFMCK38uoPqZZFps39T7RY-VdUaI8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

No point me weighing in today as the weekend has been lovely shocking. My official weighing-in day is Friday, so hopefully all will be back to normal by then!

Those of you for whom the scales have slowed/stopped, in weeks 3 and 4, hopefully things will get moving again now.

I'm off to Leeds with work for a couple of days, so who knows what I'll be eating? I have, though, packed some boiled eggs, a pot of Total yoghurt and a couple of sachets of tuna in my little cool box, so I know that I have something to eat if the choices available to me aren't low carb.

Good luck all, and hope this is a good week for all of us

Well done! Smile

I'm sure I won't be as fortunate after my week away in France Hmm. I'm doing my best in advance of going.

ApplySomePressure · 18/02/2016 09:42

Very interesting read BIWI- thanks for the link

I was a slave to SW for years, on and off, where I had been brainwashed into thinking I could eat unlimited jacket potatoes a day and still lose weight. On SW you're told to eat until you're full, but it's no wonder I was never full as I was snacking on fruit to keep me going to my next meal of jacket potatoes.
This WOE has really opened my eyes and made me really quite angry with the big commercial slimming groups.

blackteaplease · 18/02/2016 10:38

Thanks prettybird France will be tricky. You will have to fill up on cheese, olives and pate and avoid the bread and pastries. Good luck

Hi all, just checking in after a week of avoiding the thread. The labyrinthitis symptoms eased only for DD to bring home a stomach bug! Even the thought of food was too much for a few days! Despite this I have STS for the first time... not disheartened at all, just glad that horrid week is over. Looking forward to normality now and some healthy times please! Smile

Thank you to everyone who offered support last week with the labyrinthitis and my sister's fertility issues, really appreciate it Flowers

Well done to everyone who has lost and especially to those who are KOKO despite hard times and no losses. Cheering you on!

LexLoofah · 18/02/2016 13:16

hello all, gcal you are spot on about portion control with granola, thankfully it is so nutritionally dense you really do not need a lot to be full, I mainly made it for the DCs who do not know yet but are on their last box of bought sugary cereal. I think a third of a cup with unsweetened almond milk or greek yog and cream with some berries would be a good brek when fancying something quick. planning to make the grain free granola bars with DD this afternoon as biscuits are on their way out too

b - scr eggs, shrooms in a lot of butter
l - ham and hm mayo lettuce roll ups x 4, cucumber, sq dark choc
d - will be hm beef meatballs in hm tomato & butter sauce, courgetti in butter and parmesan

really trying to up the fat this week to see if that helps and minimize protein and carbs BIWI were you trying to scare us with the 3 day plan you posted earlier this week? if so your reverse psychology has worked I am happy to stay on BC!

I put them in, I don't count spices dr atkins said you didn't have too unless I use a truck load....

The recipe is in the recipe thread. I put nigella in then brushed with a bit of butter. They are really good. The psyllium gives the right chew and the nigella masks the coconut flavour.

BippityBoppity · 18/02/2016 18:16

Good day today

B - Greek yoghurt
L - Steak strips in fajita spices with fried mushrooms, spring onion and half an orange pepper with rocket
D - will be pork chops with something - not sure yet

Lunch was delicious - I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm weighing tomorrow, so keeping my fingers crossed for a whoosh after just a lb off last week

GinThief · 18/02/2016 18:25

Another good day here

B - scrambled eggs
L - chicken stir fry with leeks, cabbage, broccoli and peppers
D- chicken & bacon in a creamy cheese sauce with leeks and baby spinach ... yummy!

Evening all, I've not managed to post for a few days as I've been very busy at work. Did another all nighter last night. Am very please with myself as I've koko'd despite being shattered. I have been BC or BC lite compliant since the beginning of January now. Hopefully, the scales will show it in Monday.
Not eaten much today as went to sleep as soon as I got home at 1pm.
B - 2 exploded babybel, 1 creamy coffee
L - asleep
D - will be salmon with cheesy pesto crust and roast veg.
Just having a pedicure st the moment, so have to have the black coffee and 70% chocolate my therapist gives me. Grin

blackteaplease · 18/02/2016 18:54

Tonight I am planning a LC feast for me and DH as we were away for Valentine's day. Smoked salmon and prawn cocktail followed by fajita salad and a dark choc mousse thing for pudding. I cant wait but must get dc to bed first.

Moanranger · 18/02/2016 19:06

Hi, all,
Yesterday I fell off, only in the sense 1 had 1med glass of white wine. ; otherwise LC all the way. Interesting that the evening after Valentine's Day meal I had hunger pangs, now gone.
Today
B coffee with cream
L cheese & avocado omlette with sour cream & 3 rashers bacon
D the pizza on a quiche base. (From recipe thread)OMG! A really good replica of thick crust pizza, not too difficult to make, either. I topped it with salami & sautéed peppers & mushroom. This will defo become a favourite. Certainly beats the cauliflower base ones, which I have never been able to make successfully.

feekerry · 18/02/2016 19:23

Evening all.
Last 2/3 days I seem to have become quite bloated. Esp round my stomach ( it was getting quite flat!)
Any ideas or tips? Been sticking well to bc strict this week as had few glasses of wine sat just gone (couldn't be from that could it?) not constipated or anything and not due on as I don't have them so any ideas? Don't think I have gained weight but trousers feel tighter!

Wombatinabathhat · 18/02/2016 19:41

fee I think the best thing is to list out what you've eaten. It can make it easier to spot if you've had something suspicious.
I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I seem to have been visited by the whoosh fairy and dropped just over 3lb. It has taken me just under 12st for the first time in years. I hope I don't sabotage it over the weekend as I'm prone to do

feekerry · 18/02/2016 19:47

My best friend came over yesterday and I prob had 3 cups of tea more than I normally would so maybe that's it but it seemed to have been prior to that.
I pretty much do stick to same meals so spinich omelette for b, chicken or fish for lunch with green veg and the same for dinner. Maybe I am not drinking enough water. I have a 2lt bottle that I am struggling to finish some days recently. I do, but it's a struggle.
Also I am tapering down my dosage of steroids so maybe the lower dose which I started on mon has some weird effect Sad

Wombatinabathhat · 18/02/2016 20:02

I'm also struggling with water at the moment, mainly because there is no drinking water at my office recently. I know I should just buy some.
I don't know anything about the effects of steroids but hopefully someone will be along soon to help Thanks

hefzi · 18/02/2016 20:17

Just checking in for a quick wave: it's ended up being a dairy heavy week so far, unfortunately - cheese "quiche" on Monday for dinner, and cheese salad for dinner yesterday. I did an emergency weigh in this morning and am 2lbs up - thank goodness, my shopping has just arrived, and there was no cheese in it, but I think once the stuff I have in the fridge is gone, I'm just going to have to stop buying it Sad I did deviate onto BC light with ten raspberries, but I'm not convinced they are the culprit!

Last week was a really low dairy week, and it really did make a difference: unfortunately, eggs make me rather costive Blush in the quantities in which I am consuming them so I'm going to have to consider including linseed or something in future. Still, at least it's not snacky so portion control won't be an issue Grin

Gcalgske · 18/02/2016 20:20

Fee I know you say you don't get periods BUT low carb can do all sorts of weird things, post menopausal women start spotting, folks on the depo injections get their first visit from Aunt Flo in years. It's to do with hormones bring secreated in fat, as it gets used up the hormone goes back into your blood. It can cause havoc. Possible?
