Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it was a good week, and I hope that those of you who have been suffering from carb flu are starting to feel better. Remember, keep up the electrolytes - sodium, potassium and magnesium. Which means firstly that you have to make sure you're getting plenty of salt - so salt your food during cooking and add salt to cooked food.

For potassium, you could also consider Lo-Salt. Good foods for all electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat (of course!) natural yoghurt.

A note about weighing in

If you're a daily weigher, you have several different options. You can either just record your weight every Monday (or whatever regular day of the week you choose - I am going to start weighing in on a Saturday, because my trainer records my weight as well, to keep me on track!).

Or you can record the lowest weight you achieved in that week

Or you can average your weights and record the average.

Whatever you decide, I hope it's a positive result!

Nigella my ratios end up 5% carbs, 20-25% protein and the rest fat. It's not that you should eat equal portions of protein/fat just that if your diet is too high in fat you just don't have space/apetite for the other foods you need.

Gcalgske · 26/01/2016 16:39

In fact if you eat too much protein the body will convert the excess to sugar....

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 26/01/2016 16:57

I'm going to wait till I'm on BC lite and do the fathead pizza rather than do a cauliflower pizza.

B. Two boiled eggs.
L. One boiled egg. Three sausages. Mesnt to have mushrooms as well but had to race out unexpectedly and never cooked them! Sausages were 97% meat and

needtoloseastone · 26/01/2016 16:58

ApplySomePressure · 26/01/2016 17:33

Wombat thanks Grin this happened last bootcamp and then I lost my way about 4 weeks in. Not going to happen this time.

Don't think I'm getting enough fat. Need to remember to add fat to my meals.

B:boiled eggs
L:chicken legs with skin on, celery sticks dipped in full fat cream cheese
D: quarter pounders, with avocado cheese and a side salad.

Really do love this thread, I log on and have a read throughout the day to keep me motivated. Only in free periods though Wink

Suzymoo9 · 26/01/2016 18:02

guymartinsFlowers for you, sorry to hear your sad times
recyclingbag Star for the best quote I have heard in a long time ("I am not sure if I want to live in a world where miso soup is considered decadent") Grin
I find a nice snack is smoked salmon and cream cheese on celery, but don't always have the ingredients, also egg mayo on celery is a good one.
Am baking chips for my dos and this is going to be very hard to resist. I am finding it hard to be as strict as when I first started be, need to keep on thread I think as people's posts are really helpful.

Suzymoo9 · 26/01/2016 18:04

Also stuntnun I have been putting coconut oil in a cup of tea when I fancy something between meals and it sounds this may not be a good idea from your post, thanks for that.

knowclue · 26/01/2016 18:08

Not a bad day today, carb cravings were manageable with two cups of coffee with cream. Mum I used to cook extra quantities and freeze what I'd need for those shifts, kept my time in the kitchen to a minimum (and away from temptation).

B:poached egg with avocado
L:bone broth
D:chicken with spinach on courgetti

HammerToFall · 26/01/2016 18:11

Just before I start cooking tea smoked haddock baked with a few knobs of butter is OK isn't it?

feekerry · 26/01/2016 18:13

Evening all. If someone is near the spreadsheet can they put me in at 145 ta X
Difficult day today. All day work meeting. Lunch provided Confused sandwiches and donughts. Mainly picked at sandwich filling and had a cheddar cheese block in my handbag

ami9 · 26/01/2016 18:19

For anyone who has done the boot camp before... how many times did you excercise a week? To speed up the loss.

Wombatinabathhat · 26/01/2016 18:33

feekerry - done

Wombatinabathhat · 26/01/2016 18:34

ami9 I've done several bc and never exercised Blush

feekerry · 26/01/2016 18:57

Wombatinabathhat thank u.

ami9 I have done low carb before (first time bootcamp tho!) I have never exercised. I just can't keep it up.

BIWI · 26/01/2016 19:08

Hammer perfect! And lovely too Grin

ami you don't have to exercise if you don't want to/can't fit it in. I don't think anyone can actually answer your question though, as it depends on too many other things!

mumontherun what food storage facilities do you have at work? I'd take in stuff like cooked chicken (roast some chicken thighs, with the skin on, and marinate them first in salt/black pepper, ground cumin, Chinese 5 spice powder, chilli powder, dried oregano and a sloosh of olive oil), or some cooked low carb sausages. Hard boiled eggs make a good snack, along with sticks of celery, cucumber, cheese and olives.

Food today
B - coffee with cream (ran out of time)
L - homemade burger crispy bacon mushrooms and mozerella
D - smoked haddock baked
In butter, poached egg and buttered green beans

Exercise - one hour of high intranets metabolic training

alicewhatsthematter · 26/01/2016 19:19

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp
I've had 2 hard boiled eggs chopped into large chunks, a few small pieces of fried bacon, an avocado and a dollop of mayo for my breakfast the last two days. It's lovely, filling and easy to prep / eat

BIWI · 26/01/2016 19:22

Or you could make some of those breakfast muffins I posted upthread?

OP posts:
feekerry · 26/01/2016 19:54

Anyone else finding they just aren't hungry anymore? Like ever?! I find myself hungry in the morning and have a decent egg/veg related breakfast but apart from that I rarely feel hunger at all. It's amazing! I feel so much more controlled of my food choices when not hungry. I.e can take time to ponder, look at labels etc if I'm at work instead of ravaging the fridge! There must be some chemical reason for it???

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 26/01/2016 19:57

Snack of a piece of cheese and a chicken bovril, now in bed to watch fhe football :)

BIWI · 26/01/2016 19:58

feekerry It's one of the most amazing things about low carbing! Enjoy it, and also enjoy eating. You'll be eating when you're genuinely hungry. It's all because you now have your blood sugars under control. That's the (bio)chemical reason for it.
