Morning campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I hope it was a good week, and I hope that those of you who have been suffering from carb flu are starting to feel better. Remember, keep up the electrolytes - sodium, potassium and magnesium. Which means firstly that you have to make sure you're getting plenty of salt - so salt your food during cooking and add salt to cooked food.

For potassium, you could also consider Lo-Salt. Good foods for all electrolytes include salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat (of course!) natural yoghurt.

A note about weighing in

If you're a daily weigher, you have several different options. You can either just record your weight every Monday (or whatever regular day of the week you choose - I am going to start weighing in on a Saturday, because my trainer records my weight as well, to keep me on track!).

Or you can record the lowest weight you achieved in that week

Or you can average your weights and record the average.

Whatever you decide, I hope it's a positive result!

Thumb glad you got tooth sorted - not fun! I'm with you on the looking preggo/muffin top thing! I'm still looking around 6 month mark though but going down!

lavenderhoney · 29/01/2016 14:00

Feeling better today, and thirsty even though I drink lots of water and remembering salt. I'll just keep at it and hope all levels out.

B - coffee with cream and boiled egg
L- salmon - am left over queen in my house at the moment.
S - babybel

I look slimmer but I still can't get my jeans on (!)

YesEinsteinsMumDid · 29/01/2016 14:22

thumb I have a ceramic onlay filling thingy. It is worth the trauma to get it fixed. Mine is sooo much better than the filling it replaced.

Need to drink some water.

Busy doing birthday party planning so mind is too busy to worry about pain HmmWink

Patapouf · 29/01/2016 15:02

lex how do you make the risotto? Same as for normal risotto rice? That sounds lovely and would probably be a nice way to hide the cauliflowery-ness!

knowclue · 29/01/2016 16:02

I found the same thing with dairy fats Antimatter, real nuisance as the coffee/cream tastes lovely and helped with the carb crave too.

Okay day today, resisted dh's attempted marmalade sabotage so pleased with myself on that count, bodes well for going out tonight [wine will be my big challenge]

B:scrambled left over egg white with mush and cheese
L:olives, mozzarella, few toms
D: planning on grilled meat/fish/chicken etc with salad

knowclue · 29/01/2016 16:03

how on earth did I get a big grin in front of the olives???No wine I swear!

LexLoofah · 29/01/2016 16:30

pata yes with less stirring Smile! I sort of follow this recipe from diet doctor wine adds carbs of course, I usually do a splash of sherry instead as don't have white wine in the house. Last time I used some leftover risotto to top baked flat mushrooms and then final layer of melty cheese which was v nice indeed

Can someone please add me in at 162?

I'm amazed, I'm 12 pounds down in 7 weeks and that is even without being super strict on myself.

Had a massively stressful week with uni assignments and an upcoming op where I may be unable to low carb properly so this was a nice boost.

Incidentally, can anyone give me some good low carb food to have after I have 3 wisdom teeth extracted? With my last one, I was a right mess for 2 weeks so don't know how much yoghurt I can eat.

NigellasGuest · 29/01/2016 16:58

soup?

Gcalgske · 29/01/2016 17:10

Make ahead lots of soup I think. Scrambled eggs, mashed cauliflower/ swede, frozen yoghurt pops (freeze yoghurt flavoured with an extract?) maybe some chia pudding type things?

Hugs sqaud mine were impacted and (I only had 3) they took them all at once. I was a state!

ami9 · 29/01/2016 17:22

Thank you Biwi and nigella i havent been adding salt at all.... makes sense il add it now to my soup. Thank you so much. Xx

antimatter · 29/01/2016 17:22

celery sticks with a smidge of cream cheese and Marmite - food to salivate to!

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 29/01/2016 17:49

Dont forget well ripened avocados, squad :) (mashed with olive oil!)

I have an assignment due Monday, and thats an extension already. But i'm not into it at all and its just not getting done. So big sympathy on the stupid uni work front, i know how you feel Flowers

BIWI · 29/01/2016 18:28

SquadGoals - scrambled eggs?

ami - it's really, really important that you get the salt. Can I ask you - are you reading the thread or just jumping on an posting your own stuff? I'm not trying to be mean, but the salt issue has been discussed several times! There's a lot of information posted on these threads, that's invaluable - especially if you're a newbie.

So yes, add salt to food, cook with it, etc. And hopefully that will make you feel better very quickly.

Wand - I'd say the same about salt to you - I'm not really sure that TOTM should make you dizzy - much more likely to be about the balance of electrolytes - so sodium, magnesium and potassium. Salt, spinach, salmon, avocado and natural full fat yoghurt are all great for that.

You need more salt/minerals than there are in mineral water, Wand.

If anyone is using my fitness pal could someone please advise me what percentage ratios I should have for carbohydrate, protein and fat please. The default settings are for a low fat, low calorie diet which puts me way out! Thank you

BIWI · 29/01/2016 20:56

foamy - MFP is renowned for being inaccurate! And if you're doing Bootcamp you really, really don't need to count/weigh like that! Honestly Grin

Just follow the rules
