BIWI · 20/07/2015 07:23

Morning all!

Here, for the last time this Bootcamp is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Hopefully the scales will be kind to you for our last weigh-in!

For those of you that are still here - even you lurking at the back! - it would be great to hear how much you've lost this Bootcamp.

And also, we'll keep this thread going for chat - when it fills up I'll start another general low carb chat thread.

Another pound off today so that's two pounds since Monday! Shock I can only think that it's because I cut dairy and that's caused a knock on reduction in carbs as well. I'm away on holiday tomorrow so it will all go to pot since low carb dairy-free egg-free is pretty difficult when you can't cook for yourself so I'll probably end up eating carbs just to get enough to eat.

Yesterday:
B: pan-fried pork belly and loads of tea with almond milk
S: almonds (too many - must watch this!)
L: 100% beef burger with salad leaves and vinaigrette
D: five (!) fried sausages and swede mash

billabye · 06/08/2015 12:49

Well done Stunt!

B- bacon, egg, mushroom in butter, bpc
L- ham and boiled egg salad, mayo, coyo
D- courgetti and meatballs with tom sauce, Parmesan

I eat too much processed meat, especially pork products, but I can't seem to help myself Confused

LexLoofah · 06/08/2015 13:53

OMG had pork belly slices for first time at lunch, served over grated courgette tossed with olive oil and black pepper, bloody lovely - can see me having these a lot now, esp as so inexpensive

Trying not to have too many cups of tea so having a chai with cream and sq dark choc

Low on water today as water been off all morning while kitchen tap replaced, got some catching up to do

BIWI · 06/08/2015 20:37

Today

B - Total 0% yoghurt (all that was available in Tesco Express Angry) with some extra thick double cream, with some almonds, vanilla powder and vanilla extract
L - salmon fillet poached in butter and lemon juice with salad and vinaigrette dressing
D - tuna mayo, garlic and chilli prawns, broccoli and green beans with onion and preserved lemon, pan-fried in olive oil, halloumi

Not quite enough water yet!

OP posts:
SayraT · 06/08/2015 21:58

Food Today

B: Three fried eggs, coffee with cream
L: Tuna mayo and salad
S: Cheese, cherries
D: Pork shoulder steak, coyo

Not enough veg again, was planning on having some then something happened so just quickly cooked pork to eat.

LexLoofah · 07/08/2015 11:50

Too full for tea last night so had few bits of cheese spread with butter and marmite and lots of water, not that hungry this morning so just had cuppa and a coffee and water

L will be crab mayo, courgette, fancy some raspbeerries too
D will be steak and broccoli with garlic butter

Going to SILs tomorrow for overnight visit, haven't said anything about LCHF, hoping to get by as only 24 hours and have some pork scratchings and macadamias in my bag just in case. Will tell her once I am there as hoping she will notice the weight loss as not seen her for a year although rest of family have not said a word which is rather disappointing

trashcanjunkie · 07/08/2015 13:26

Food today so far

Missed breakfast

Lunch two fried eggs, two bug mushrooms in butter, four slices ham, cup of red bush tea.

Nothing at all else apart from two glasses of water so need to get on it!

backonthewagon · 09/08/2015 14:34

Has anyone tried the Delouis fresh mayonnaise (in the chiller section) or jarred mayonnaise? Are either as good as homemade?

BIWI · 09/08/2015 15:16

The jarred stuff is good, and (I think) the lowest pre-prepared mayo you can buy. But it's very expensive!

Hi - I was directed thus way to find a BIWI boot camp?

I have low car bed a long time ago and remember that drinking plenty of water is vital but have 4 stone to shed and very grumpy GP who has given me a 'talk' about weight.

BIWI · 09/08/2015 21:14

Welcome, Lictionary!

We're 'between' Bootcamps at the moment - the next one won't start until October - but this thread is where we're all chatting, and you will be able to ask any questions you want to.

If you click on the link to the spreadsheet, which is in my OP, you'll find Bootcamp rules on one of the tabs at the bottom. Any questions, just ask.

Good luck. Flowers

I've been carby twatting a bit, chocolate in the house = very stupid plan. Also wine. Blush But have been staying off spuds, bread, pasta, crackers etc.

However, back to it properly today - had cheese slices for breakfast, drinking fennel tea, and just had hardboiled eggs mashed with cheddar and Boursin, rolled in iceberg lettuce leaves for lunch. Yum!

Dinner tonight will be mince thing with veg; might do it with pasta for the boys and konjac noodles for me. Or spuds for the boys and swede for me. Depends how I feel.
DH is away for 3 nights now so my resolve is lower when I have to do everything.

Still weighing in at 11st7 so no unimprovement but no improvement on last week either. Need to KOKO.

BIWI · 10/08/2015 06:39

... or, why not do swede for all of you? It can make life a lot easier, as well as low carbing, if you're all eating the same thing! Helps to make it normal, IYSWIM!

Week 1 of 19 for me, as I focus on my trip to Oz! Am doing my own sort-of Bootcamp.

OP posts:
ThumbWitchesAbroad · 10/08/2015 07:13

I would, but they don't like it on its own. :(
They'll eat it mixed in with spud, but not neat swede mash. Heathens.
And they're not generally fussy eaters either, so I'm not being soft on them really - there are only a few things that either of them really don't like, so I try to accommodate that in general.

Are you getting excited yet, or is it too far away?

backonthewagon · 10/08/2015 10:40

you could mix it in with a bit of carrot?

Beccus · 10/08/2015 10:45

after my initial woosh between weeks 1 and 2, I have sts for 3 weeks now. Going to really watch my water this week to see if that helps as I really don't want to cut back on my dairy unless I have to. have discovered coyo, yummy. am I right in thinking I can still have that if I do need to cut back on dairy? in the market for a low carb recipe book. am thinking of the low carb gourmet, any other suggestions?

lisbapalea · 10/08/2015 11:07

Forgot to weigh this morning, but that was genuine forgetfulness, not shying away! I will definitely do it tomorrow and will post food as much as poss this week.

I was positively saintly yesterday, even in the face of chocolate and crisps that were placed in the near vicinity!

Today:
B - coyo and greek with berries
L - leftover hm celeriac coleslaw with a boiled egg, olives, cucmber and lettuce, with olive oil
D - will be a tuna salad made with tuna in oil and topped with a boiled egg

I realised over the weekend that my problem over the last few weeks has been down to complacency. I lost quite successfully, quite quickly and managed to not gain despite having a few moments of carby twattery, so I let those moments increase, by telling myself that I was still being much lower carb than I used to be. But I think I really do need to be strict with myself and ensure that any blips are really just that - if it happens every other day its not exactly a blip is it?!

I also think that boredom when watching TV in the evenings has a lot to answer for, so I am going to try and find some tasks to do in the evenings to stop me reaching for the chocolate - which started off as 90% dark choc, then went down to 85%, then 70% and then I was nicking bloody kinder eggs that I found in the 'treat cupboard'! Ffs...

So with this new found resolve I am hoping to ditch another 5lbs or so in the next 3 weeks before I go on holiday. Hope that is feasible...

readyforno2 · 10/08/2015 17:13

I have been the biggest carby twat going!
You are exactly right Lis, the odd treat here and there, "oh I'll start again tomorrow so I can just eat this big pile of carbs now"

Anyway I'm back on the wagon

Omelette for breakfast
Fried eggs for lunch
I'm absolutely starving now so can't stick to the egg fast all day so I'm having chicken thighs (skin on) and mashed turnip. Cannot wait!
On my 4th pint of water

LexLoofah · 10/08/2015 21:35

Trip to SILs was great, food was Pretty good not BC worthy but def inbetween BC ok, strangely the choc and desserts were not tempting nearly as much as the big bowl of cherries on the counter, prob had more of those than I should have

Lovely lunch out today at M&S deli, had the smoke house platter of 4 kinds of smoked salmon and trout, yum

Bought a gorgeous dress today to go to a wedding in a few weeks, delighted to ask the helper lady to get me a 12 as 14 was a bit baggy!!!!! usually have to ask for the next size up, Finally able to go the other way, thanks BIWI

Now I just need to find some shoes which will be much trickier...

BIWI · 10/08/2015 21:54

That's good news, Lex! Lovely when you drop down a size!

Thumb - I am already excited about it. Goodness knows what I'll be like nearer the time Grin

Hi, thanks for the welcome!

Have shopped for my first week of low carb eating, not doing boot camp during school holidays that way lies madness but certainly following the rules.

B- almond milk coffee and a mushroom and salami omelette
L- low carb veg ratatouille with poached salmon and a tablespoon of light soy sauce
D-rest of low carb ratatouille with lean chicken sliced and a few noodles (yes I know not LC but i really did have only a tiny handful)

I'm also using a fitbit and my fitness pal, I can set the carbohydrate/protein/fat ratio in percent, can anyone tell me what it should be for this WOE? Many thanks

LondonBetti · 10/08/2015 23:21

Thanks Gcalgske and miffy49 - took your advice and started übercamp today. Feeling positively saintly with everything crossed!

miffy49, tried your jiggle theory and DD2 ran upstairs wondering what the shaking / noise was Grin have a good bit more to go!

Hi lictionary, good luck with your first couple of days!

StoneFoxMama · 11/08/2015 05:38

Hi lic, I'm still trying to stick close to bc so my macros are 80% fat, 15% protein, 5% carbs on mfp but you can tweak them to suit you, most still loose between 70/80% fat.

BIWI · 11/08/2015 06:48

Lictionary - don't forget this is a high fat way of eating. Stop with the lean chicken!!!

OP posts:
Lictionary · 11/08/2015 09:20

Ah ok. It's mostly for my DH.

I'm currently cooking up mushrooms, bacon and eggs in butter.
