Hey
I'm starting again on 5th Jan, just about to go through recipes and meal plan as for me, when I fail to prepare I prepare to fail!

OP posts:
mootime · 06/01/2015 16:17

Blimey. That tiny.
I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon for breakfast

Some ham as a snack

Salad and cold cooked salmon and an avocado for lunch

Two lattes made with almond milk one with a tsp of coconut oil
A small glass of coconut water

For supper I'm going to have Steak, broccoli and Bernaise Sauce.

The coconut water was an error, the amount I drank had 13g of carbs. But even without that I'll be way over with only 3 portions of veg....

sassandfaff · 06/01/2015 16:29

I think it's under 50g on bootcamp.

I could be wrong.

FelixFelix · 06/01/2015 16:32

I'm sure it must be more than 20g. I know we aren't technically supposed to count but I always check on mfp Grin

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 06/01/2015 17:21

Dh has made a rather hot chicken curry for dinner, so i imagine my water (already at 2.5l) is gonna go through the roof! Served with broccoli and okra bhaji. Three bites in, nose running like crazy already Grin

I got a popcorn maker for xmas. I know it isnt exactly low carb, but i'm wondering - as its mostly air - whether its doable...?

graduatedbob · 06/01/2015 17:28

Hi all. I started on January 2nd. Felt absolutely shocking on eve of day 3/4 but feel OK now and not feeling very hungry anymore. Sweating loads at night - no idea if it's related. Really love experimenting with food I don't usually eat. Having celeriac dauphinouse and pork belly with spinach for tea. Yum!

feesh · 06/01/2015 17:49

Day 2 for me. I had 2 eggs chopped up with butter and salt for brekkie, an egg with chopped red peppers, cucumbers and mayo for lunch, and salmon with buttery, mustardy leeks for dinner.

I'm feeling a bit hungry and trying not to think about chocolate. I weighed myself this morning and was 76.6kg. I was 66kg or so when I got pregnant but would probably feel happier below that.

I'm struggling with lunch ideas - I always end up eating too much tuna, and I know you're not supposed to eat too much of it because of mercury levels.

Trouble is, I live in the Middle East and pork isn't very easy to get hold of, so proper ham, sausages and bacon aren't really an option.

There is even a chicken shortage at the moment! So I'm really struggling to find decent meat.

What else can I have with salad for lunch? I eat eggs for breakfast so I'm not too keen on repeating them for lunch, and I know cheese isn't great (although have bought those mini mozzarella balls for lunch tomorrow).

Wombat22 · 06/01/2015 18:00

Day 2 for me. Done well. Meals pretty much as yesterday but had roast chicken thighs in a spice marinade and a bit of salad for tea.
Well done all Grin

DurhamDurham · 06/01/2015 18:40

Don't feel great today so just did the wrong thing and tried to make myself feel better by eating some dried mango, I ate almost the whole pack.
The rest of the day I was good.
Breakfast eggs and ham
Mackerel and salad
Bolognese with cheese, green beans, red pepper and mushrooms

Lots of water. Going yo the loo a lot.

Notsoskinnyminny · 06/01/2015 18:41

Day 2 for me, I did a lamb shoulder in the slow cooker yesterday and there's enough for tonight and made a mushroom and courgette fritta for lunch in work but I'm not in the mood for salad. I'm managing to avoid the sweets in the staffroom but not so good on the water front, must do better tomorrow.

I've ordered Jillian Michael's shred it with weights and bought a kettleball when I stocked up on all my lc goodies in aldi as I loved the class I went to last year before the times/days changed.

SayraT · 06/01/2015 18:46

Hello notso Smile

Todays Food

B: Leftover corned beef hash, coffee with cream
L: Chicken 'pizza' (butterflied chicken breast, tomato puree, mushrooms and cheese)
D: Pork stroganoff with cauli-rice
S: Some not LC things as OHs sister got me a Graze Box subscription for Christmas, I have now changed the preferences to the lowest carb options for future boxes

I have had a bit of a headache today and yesterday, I think it is a carb flu headache thing as I really really fell off the wagon over Christmas!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 06/01/2015 19:03

Doctors appt first thing, so gonna boil some eggs in a mo, then me and dh (he is lc-ing with me) can have breakfast before we go.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 06/01/2015 19:05

Sayra, i'm so far off the wagon, the wagon is a dot to me Grin

This is it now though. Heaviest i've ever been, will not put on one more lb.

PeonyStick · 06/01/2015 19:25

B - BPC
L- nothing - stressed getting back to school in time
S roasted Broccoli, lidl fish chilli boil in the bag thing
snack- ALmonds ( I know - I will cut them out on BC proper)
water - bit rubbish - but 1 litre better than zero.

prettybird · 06/01/2015 19:40

I'm easing in to Boot Camp. Will probably be up to "full" Boot Camp by Thursday tomorrow.

Having good Boot Camp meals but still finishing off wine and chocolates. Trying to up the water. Takes me a while to get back into the habit.

Apophenia · 06/01/2015 21:00

Omg. Best tea ever. (I know from experience ?? that I say this a lot during boot camp, as I rediscover real food and try new things .)

I had sirloin steak, chestnut mushrooms and spinach, fried in garlic butter, and creamed cabbage. The cabbage thing was a Sainsburys, bung in the microwave type thing, and it was amazing!!

Big fat yum!!

FelixFelix · 06/01/2015 21:05

Apophenia that sounds delicious!

I've not eaten enough today I don't think. I'm a bit hungry Sad just been on my bike and only managed 13 minutes of an hour work out!

Breakfast - coffee with almond milk, green smoothie with spinach, cucumber, almond milk and yoghurt

Lunch - red pepper soup

Snack - olives and some cheddar

Dinner - salmon fillet with stir fried veg

ceedub · 06/01/2015 23:21

Meals today:

B: two boiled eggs
L: chicken breast with a mushroom sauce and steamed broccoli
D: leeks, mushrooms and ham in a cream sauce (was sauce for DH pasta). Portion unusually small for me!
Snacks: miso soup, pret veg sushi pot (no rice, v yum!)

Much liquorice and peppermint tea and water. Can highly recommend these tea pigs. They're not liquorice as you'd expect, but are lovely and sweet and I can get 2-3 cups per bag. Perfect for when you want something sweet, but no sugar, caffeine or carbs! I am now the crazy lady at work perpetually sipping her strange tea...

GutsyMcMuffin · 07/01/2015 00:40

Miso soup you say? From where?

Macloveswill · 07/01/2015 01:09

Thanks Antimatter....turns out I have an ear infection, so prob not carb flu after all. Will still follow your advice to keep electrolytes up tho, thank you

Macloveswill · 07/01/2015 01:36

Why not almonds? Eek...I thought they were good? Had them with cheese and an apple for my snack today Shock

BIWI · 07/01/2015 06:34

There is no daily limit for carbs on Bootcamp

Grin

The whole idea of Bootcamp is to make it ultra easy to low carb. So no weighing or counting of everything.

Plus, everyone has a different level of carbs that they can tolerate.

Just follow the rules and you'll be fine.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 07/01/2015 08:46

B- large bpc, boiled egg

mootime · 07/01/2015 09:45

Thanks BIWI.
Yesterday I was hungry all day, so may have scoffed too much salami. Could be worse, I avoided all the chocs around the house.

It's made me realise how often I have been just pinching a bit of what the kids are having, a few Cheerios, a couple of bread sticks, half a bowl of pasta!!! Not eating all of that alone must be doing me some good.

I know it's too early to have lost weight but I am already massively less bloated.

Which reminds me I need to get drinking my water...Grin

Apophenia · 07/01/2015 12:24

Massive bowl of cauliflower cheese for lunch! GrinGrin

FelixFelix · 07/01/2015 12:48

I was rushing this morning so had a coffee with cream and just had my breakfast of avocado and smoked salmon (so tasty). Will have some soup later on.

I've got boneless chicken thighs for tea with roasted veg but no idea how to do the chicken thighs. Anyone got any good ideas?
