Hey
I'm starting again on 5th Jan, just about to go through recipes and meal plan as for me, when I fail to prepare I prepare to fail!

OP posts:

Grin Loving the idea of the tortoise housed in the fridge!

There was no mistaking the lack of meat on the necks I saw. Streaky wasn't even close. More like blocks of suet! Those random 'mixed grills' can often be the nicest meals. Smile

I had one of my moments whilst cooking some sausage for DS to take to work in his packed lunch. It was sticking a bit so I grabbed for the drizzling bottle and accidentally drizzled it with my salad dressing instead of a splash of oil! He came home and asked where I got that sausage from and could I get the same sort next time! LOL

Best way to keep the temp stable, miffy Grin

This lamb is not too shabby at all

D - lamb breast, chicjen thigh and pork chop. Fried mushrooms and mange tout

Apophenia · 15/01/2015 20:07

Hi all! How we doing? I'm all good food-wise, still tired though - especially about 4pm, which is unfortunately when I'm traveling home from work. Wondering if I need a fattier lunch?

B-cheese and ham omelette
L- chicken salad with DeLouis Mayo
D 'Enchilada' chicken - chicken breast flattened, topped with homemade salsa and cheese, then baked on a tray of veg. Top with sour cream when done. (It was amazing by the way.)

I'm not snacking, and haven't done all week, which is a huge step for me. GrinGrinGrin

MFP has me at 61% fat, 35% protein and 4% carbs.

SayraT · 15/01/2015 20:49

Shattered today but feeling great.

I played badminton for the first time since before Christmas, I won every game I played (probably more to do with my partner than me TBH Grin) then this evening I had an hour of pole which was brilliant.

Food Today

B: Leftover taco bake, coffee with cream
L: Sausage and mushroom omelette, cucumber sticks, pepper sticks and 3 cherry tomatoes
D: ? Can't be bothered making anything
S: Peanuts, rhubarb fool

I am aware that some of my food choices today were not as LC as they could/should have been. I will get rid of the peanuts and rhubarb fool for Monday.

MontserratCaballe · 16/01/2015 08:07

Have so enjoyed my food this week - great to be back on the LC way of eating. Did have some wine last night but won't have any tonight. Obviously next week I won't have any at all as it's all systems go! Can't wait/

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/01/2015 09:59

B - 2 egg omelette with green pepper, mushrooms, tomato and cheese. Coffee with cream (but less cream)

Need to get some decaf coffee. Keep craving hot chocolate in the nippy evenings, fruit tea doesnt hit the spot but its too late for regular coffee.

Did anyone here watch the 'whats the right diet for you' programme? I dont need to do the quiz to know im a craver, wonder if i might benefit from lchf on a 5:2 basis? Anyone doing that, im sure i read someone was before?

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/01/2015 10:02

(I would also usually have three eggs in an omelette. I'm not hungry so need to stop eating certain amounts and clearing my plate out of habit :) )

mootime · 16/01/2015 13:35

I've not got on the scales again yet but people are commenting on how I've lost weight. Grin
I've also just been out for the best "diet" lunch ever.
Roast lamb Breast and cabbage followed by a cheese board . (Seems ds can tolerate a bit of cheese in my diet so that's also good news!)

Apophenia · 16/01/2015 14:17

Beyond, I watched that - and thought it was brilliant. I loved some of those experiments.

Test had me as a constant craver though, when I know, and have known for a long time that I'm an emotional eater.

I did think they'd lose more weight though. and got the vibe with some of them, particularly the american lady, that it had just given them an excuse. Sad

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/01/2015 15:43

L - i was out at a nursery thing, so took a bpc in a flask. Would be rude to eat there, but they always have them at lunchtime!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/01/2015 16:50

D - chicken thigh with bacon and cheese, aubergine 'chips' and cucumber

Apophenia · 16/01/2015 17:27

B-omelette
L- Mexican chicken salad
D - Chilli and cauliflower rice.

SayraT · 16/01/2015 17:45

I've had far too much protein and not enough veg today, things just ended up a bit confused and I was never in the right place for food a the right time!

B: Two pork sausages
2nd B: BPC
L: Sainsburys lamb koftas, egg mayonnaise sandwich filler
D: Roast chicken with celeriac chips

LexLoofah · 16/01/2015 17:52

OK think we are ready, Christmas cake is almost gone or will be by Monday!

B - 2 boiled eggs, mayo, cup of tea and a BPC
L - prawn mayo (smidge of tomato paste that was not too carby) + big crunchy salad
D - will be homemade tuna burgers on lettuce leaves and salad w/dressing

DH is doing bootcamp with me too which makes things a lot easier, he is and I quote 'excited', hmm lets see how he feels a week from now...

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/01/2015 18:06

Doh, wrote that about decaf coffee this morning. Didnt notice that as i wrote it, the coffee i was drinking WAS decaf!!

Apophenia · 16/01/2015 19:16

I have finally perfected cauliflower rice. delicious. I'm happy. Grin

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/01/2015 20:21

I have a cauli here... Which cauli-thing do you all recommend most?

Apophenia · 16/01/2015 21:18

Grated then fried in garlic butter. I used a food processor last time and it went horribly mushy.

Apophenia · 16/01/2015 21:43

Beyond, were you on the April 2012 threads under another, similar guise?

readyforno2 · 16/01/2015 23:06

Not posted my food for a few days. Trying to cut down on dairy but it's so hard..

B - eggs mashed with butter
L- couple of tablespoons of coleslaw and tiny bit of grated cheese wrapped in ham
D - roast chicken, coleslaw, babycorn and asparagus fried in butter, baked cheese

Loads of water. Probably 8/9 pints..
Probably too dairy heavy but I'm trying Confused

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 17/01/2015 09:03

I have loads of similar disguises, but doubt i would have been on april 2012 - was pregnant for 3/4 of it Grin

DurhamDurham · 17/01/2015 09:27

Yesterday I had an omelette for lunch made with two eggs.
For dinner I had roasted broccoli, braised red cabbage ( a huge mountain of it ) and roast pork.

I haven't managed to have breakfast most days but I will do from Monday so that I'm following the rules to the letter. Last bootcamp I did I also managed breakfast, even if I had to eat it once I got to work but this time I'm just not hungry until half 11.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 17/01/2015 09:38

Woohoo, im lighter!! Feeling rather warm too, remember this from last time. Rather disturbed nights sleep for me, tossing and turning as was too hot under the covers but cold out of them! Grin

BIWI · 17/01/2015 11:23

Morning all!

Latest blog post:

Stir-fried pork with mixed vegetables and water chestnuts

bettybigballs · 17/01/2015 13:07

BIWI, thrilled you've started a blog, it's great, I'm trying your meatballs tomorrow!

I haven't posted for a few days but in the swing of things, already feel lighter and much much better.

I have the house to myself this afternoon so cooking up a storm: slow roasting some duck legs, making oopsie rolls and trying to perfect mexican chicken.
I'm also going to try the famous cauli pizza for dinner, with crumbled sausage, Serrano ham and lots of lovely fresh basil.

How's everyone getting on? I love the idea of the tortoise in the fridge, that made me really giggle.
