Hey
I'm starting again on 5th Jan, just about to go through recipes and meal plan as for me, when I fail to prepare I prepare to fail!

OP posts:
Wombat22 · 12/01/2015 17:47

I'm 3 lb down this week. Pleased with that Smile
B: Slices of ham joint with home made mayo
L: Broccoli soup with fresh cream (I love it) and chicken curry
D: Lamb shank with cauli and broccoli.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 12/01/2015 17:58

D- steak, fried mushrooms and onions. Carrots and french beans

Apophenia · 12/01/2015 18:00

right. I went into Morrisons, to the oven fresh. picked up some sausages and some Chinese spare ribs. also bought some bovril to curb the salt cravings.

I bought some chocolate as well but haven't opened it. Grin

Notsoskinnyminny · 12/01/2015 18:26

Aphphenia when I'm ravenous and need a quick snack I have a tablespoon of butter with a bit of cooked meat wrapped round it and resist the chocolate - you don't want it Grin

readyforno2 · 12/01/2015 20:03

Have just done my first ballet class for about 25 years! I really enjoyed it.
Haven't weighed yet, might not.

Food today
B - scrambled eggs
L - broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprout, spinach and bacon soup (forgot to go shopping so just chucked a load of frozen stuff in a pot) natural yog
D - salad, cauliflower cheese and tuna burger. Mayo

Water 7 pints, will probably have a couple more before bed
3 coffee with cream

BIWI · 12/01/2015 20:32

Apophenia - do you know the carb count of those sausages?

And did you check if there was sugar in the Chinese spare ribs? They usually use a sweetened glaze on those.

They might have turned out to be very carby choices!

Apophenia · 12/01/2015 20:42

Should have just had subway instead eh? Grin

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 12/01/2015 20:45

Clotted cream is rather good on its own. Tastes like it should be naughty and is very filling. Might have a new favourite 'diet' food of choice! Grin

BIWI · 12/01/2015 20:52

Check out the carb counts here

Big Pete's Chinese Ribs are 9.9g carbs per portion
Cumberland Rings are 4.3g carbs per sausage
Party Pork Sausages are 7g carbs per 100g

Apophenia · 12/01/2015 21:03

I know, I've added them to MFP already. I'm aware it wasn't the best choice but at that moment in time, it really was that or a takeaway pizza. If I'd had the pizza I'd be feeling crappy for giving in right now.

AND I didn't eat the chocolate! Grin

yongnian · 12/01/2015 21:03

Oo hello all, didn't realise you were here in advance of mon...I've been hauling myself back on the wagon, diet is 90% bc lite at the mo and 10%.....errr...'other'! (man, once sugar found its way back in over Christmas it has been hard to shake off! It's properly addictive)...,so getting there bit by bit in prep for mon....weight wise did ok over Christmas but am really looking forward to some proper bootcamp and hopefully downward movement on the scales....

BIWI · 12/01/2015 22:08

Today's blog post: Roasted Meatballs

Less than 9g per serving!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 13/01/2015 09:58

B - avocado with ff greek yoghurt

Those meatballs look fab, might get dh to make them tomorrow

miffy49 · 13/01/2015 12:42

Apophenia If you went to the oven fresh counter wouldn't a bit of chicken have been a good option? That and a bag of ready cut salad is usually my fall-back for an instant meal. Add in a fatty dressing and you have all the right components.Smile Hats off to you for leaving the chocolate alone!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 13/01/2015 12:44

L - finger salad... spring onion, celery, cucumber and tomato, cheese and sour cream. Plus olives in oil.

Sorelip · 13/01/2015 13:09

I'm 3lb down from last Monday, and under 11st so I'm pleased and it's been so easy! The only thing I'm struggling with is eating enough, as my appetite has shrunk.

cardoon · 13/01/2015 13:24

Is that a low carb pizza that hits you in the face when you enter your blog BIWI? Grin

BIWI · 13/01/2015 13:30

It is! It's made with cauliflower.

BIWI · 13/01/2015 13:31

I suppose I should post the recipe for that as well!

GutsyMcMuffin · 13/01/2015 13:55

Just popped in to say that now I'm on day 13 I'm firing on all cylinders. Carb flue is a thing of the past, my body has adjusted and I've noticed that I'm forgetting to eat because im just not that hungry. I'm sleeping like a baby and all is good.

Last time I did this it helped a lot with my pmt, I've moved on a bit and now get night sweats and was hoping that LC might help with that, but I'm not seeing any difference. I guess it can't sure everything.

I set up a LC board on Pinterest a while ago and have noticed a lot of people posting recipes for fat bombs, what's the story on them? Allowed? Nice?

LexLoofah · 13/01/2015 14:02

BIWI would love to follow your blog, but i don't do twitter, google or facebook, any chance one could subscribe to get new posts by email or RSS feed? Sorry I am not a blogger so can't actually help you with how to set that up - fine looking meatballs by the way

BIWI · 13/01/2015 14:16

What search engine do you use, LexLoofah? Can you not just use that to click on the link?

LexLoofah · 13/01/2015 14:22

BIWI sorry another question, when looking at carb content should we be looking at net carbs i.e. less dietary fibre? I am still trying to find out if kale, collards and artichokes are OK as there is a big difference between carb content and carbs less fibre. Suspect artichokes are going to be out regardless but my beloved kale and collards might just make it - tnx

LexLoofah · 13/01/2015 14:23

BIWI yes i can get to the site but for other blogs I follow I get notified (by email) when there is a new post rather than going to check each day. If not not worries will just set up a reminder or use this thread or the bootcamp one as a reminder cheers

miffy49 · 13/01/2015 14:59

Theres a link on Biwi's blog Lex for you to get email notifications of new posts. Doesn't involve anything more sinister than your email addy. I signed up yesterday.

I'm also rooting for the cauli pizza recipe please Biwi! I've seen them mentioned in posts and just thought YUUUUK! That actually looks like a proper pizza. I haven't had pizza in years, even pre-low carb, as gluten free pizza crust is like a secret weapon!
