Morning all!

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

or on the Weight Tracker

Just one more week - hopefully we can shed at least one more of those pesky pounds!

We'll need to get a picture of the Glamorpuss or at least the nails Chester Grin

BestIsWest · 06/12/2014 20:20

Pisses you are an inspiration. That is fantastic. I remember your amazing photos from a few threads back. Wow.

MoJangled · 06/12/2014 22:30

Pisses - phenomenal!

Chester - superb BC outcome.

good morning all

well that was a weird day, the non boot camp food item sent me absolutely scatty and I spent the afternoon in the national gallery being a bit nuts with the kids until I crashed. Bit of an odd experience, fun, but don't think its one I'll be doing that often.

so today will be "my body is a buttery temple" whilst sitting around reading the paper

BIWI · 07/12/2014 10:35

It's weird, isn't it Pisses?

I remember one holiday, we stopped for lunch and the only options were carby. I had croque Monsieur. About 2 hours later we were doing a supermarket shop, ready for our week in the gite, and I could FEEL my blood sugar level plummeting. As well as feeling shaky, my vision went. Everything started to look wobbly, a bit like there was a heat haze.

Horrible feeling.

You really are an inspiration Pisses. Been there with the carb overload though. Wont do that again in a rush! The sugar high is a bit like being drunk but the crash afterwards is worse than any hangover. Shows just how wrong it is to fuel our brains on glucose doesn't it?

I've had a horrid couple of days. I ate some gluten from somewhere and I'm stuffed if I know where from. This is twice in the last 3wks. I haven't eaten anything pre-prepared and have been through all the labels on ingredients in case anything has been changed but I'm baffled. I know its not a stomach upset because its quite a distinctive pain and its always followed by a flare in my arthritis. Its a mystery where its coming from.

Right, a jolly afternoon in store defrosting the outside freezers! Oh Joy!

MoJangled · 07/12/2014 14:50

I've observed the same behaviour sequence in my 4yo following grandparent-induced sugar overloads. Mania - misery - crash. I always make sure he has something fatty/proteiny with sugar (boiled egg before bread and nutella (sneak cashew butter under the nutella too); glass of FF milk with a biscuit; babybell with apple juice etc) and it does make a difference.

Sorry you're feeling rough miffy . Hope you track down the source.

Made a huge beef, red cabbage and mushroom stew last night to have with knobs of butter this afternoon and 2-3 lunchtimes this week

miffy49 · 07/12/2014 15:34

Thanks Mo. I do have problems with stuff that has yeast extract or liquid glucose as they are considered to be 'allowed' by the Coeliac Society even though a lot of us can't tolerate even that amount of gluten. Can't even track either of those down though. One of life's mysteries!

Your stew sounds good. Pork for us today. Didn't get my freezers done as it started to rain but found we had had a visit from hungry creatures who have attacked 2 swedes, some leeks, a cabbage and some potatoes all of which have had to be thrown away! Just dispatched DH to Argos for a giant coolbox so I can put fresh ones in there. Just glad I found out before I started buying in my Christmas veg!

Roseformeplease · 07/12/2014 21:36

Yay! Two more pounds off today (Sunday) - not sure if this is the right thread or whether I need to wait for the next one but that is 9lbs in total and I started on week 3. Had a wobble last weekend as well (big weekend away with friends) but it was a small one, not a major carb-out.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 07/12/2014 21:44

We have snow. Hopefully it is not sticking as it is still a bit warm on the ground but we definitely have had snow falling.

BIWI · 07/12/2014 21:49

Brilliant, Rose! Flowers

Thanks BIWI and the threads have made all the difference. Want to be less that 13 before Christmas so will stay strong.

6lb this bootcamp but 31lb since December last year almost all of it by Bootcamping. this is brilliant since I have Hyperparathyroidism and this makes it difficult for me to lose weight. Going to stick to BC Lite over Christmas and then join the January bootcamp. Who knows, I may even take
up exercising again.

Thank you BIWI and everyone who has been so helpful to me on these threads.
