I've never bought expensive coconut oil, so never understand the comments about things tasting coconutty. The nice cheap KTC oil I buy is totally flavourless and (I've checked it out) hasn't had any nasty hydrogenation process.

thanks miffy, been doing Vics, bowl of water and a towel. Had problems with the spays etc as they always seem to make it worse.
Its starting to go but keeps on setting my nerves off effecting my, face like toothache. Have agreed with doc to give it another week then antibiotics if its still prevalent

Pisses - my dad (a doctor) was/is always very anti the sprays, like Otrivine, unless you had a specific short period for which you needed to be "clear". He said that the rebound effect wasn't worth it.

I know your nearing the end but can I join anyway? How long has the thread got left to run by the way? Smile
I am fed up of not eating much just to lose weight. It makes me anxious because Im always policing myself and feeling like a failure if I end up eating anything really.

Thanks.

Hellopawb - feel free to join in. There are a couple of others who only started recently.

Have you looked at the Rules on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness? You can find it in the first post of the thread. The first 2 weeks are quite strict: 3 meals a day, only low carb vegs, no nuts, no alcohol, no fruit - but eat when you are hungry. Most of us then move to Boot Camp lite at least at the weekends which allows a little of the above prohibited items.

Key thing is to drink plenty of water (quantities on spreadsheet: a function of your weight) and keep your fat intake up as that is what satiates you.

Thank you "Prettybird" and Diolch yn fawr rybka13.
I have not had a proper look at the spreadsheet nor eating rules but will do that now that I have settled down at the laptop. I really hope there is a chat thread that will keep going in between BCs as I know I am going to need help and motivating Grin.

Shall go and have a look now and try and catch up on the last couple of pages.

Is BC light rules mentioned there too?

sorry prettybird. Didn't do you in bold text.

Sorry, forgot to name change. I have been doing Paul McKenna and will continue eating mindfully but have found that when I eat carbs now that it adversely affects me in that I start overeating biscuits and bread. I think that I am somewhat insulin resistant so hoping to make this a proper change to what I eat and also will feel better.

Nice to meet you both.Smile There is usually an on going support thread at the end of a BC but its not as busy. Lots of us are permanent BC or BC Light so you wont be on your own and you can still post questions. Biwi will do another proper BC after Christmas.

Nothing wrong with a dollop of Vick Pisses Grin I tend to use essential oils because I always have them to hand. I was a clinical aromatherapist before the FMS wiped out my career.Sad I'm in agreement with Prettybird's dad regarding sprays and other decongestants. OK to get you through a pressing appointment but not for general use. They cause more harm than good in the long run. My favourite oil for colds and sinus probs is ravensara but you need a specialist supplier. Not something you can pick up in Holland and Barrett! Its good for shifting a virus and milder on the sore passages than Vick or eucalyptus.

Hey :)

Bolognese with courgette "pasta". Dont think the courgette was drained enough, food is in a puddle... Doh.

I was a victim of overusing Sudafed nose spray. I started using it when I had severe sinusitis and it worked for 10 hours straight then wore off. When it wore off my nose was so severely blocked that I had to use it again and this carried on for a week when I realised the pattern that was occurring. It took me a day of Olbas inhalation to finally be able to breath again. I always thought it an urban myth that there is a rebound effect but no, it is very true.
Miffy can you tell me more about ravensara and its uses please? I notice you can get it on ebay. Really interesting that you were a clinical aromatherapist. Im a big essential oil user, love them. What is FMS though if you don't mind me asking? Smile

Shouldn't have mentioned the rugby should I.

Just had a delicious chicken curry made with coconut cream and double cream with some veg fried in coconut oil.

Eggs and butter for lunch and coffee with cream for breakfast so a good day on the fat front today.

I am surprised that I'm not missing eating breakfast at all.

Dare I allow myself a couple of squares of dark chocolate tonight?

Finally braved the scales and am currently 1lb up on two weeks ago. Praying for a visit for the whoosh fairy today to give me a loss in the morning. Plan is:

B: BAB, BPC
L: not much if anything as tea will be early and breakfast late
D: moussaka, some kind of veg

Chugging as much water as I can. Come on the scales, move, move, move!
