Eeeeek!

The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here along with The Weight Tracker

Here's to another good week.

Four weeks left, including this one, so chance to lose up to half a stone if you're really focused!

I'm glad to see that we're all thinking about Christmas and how we're going to deal with it. My own personal problem is that I find it too easy to let things slide - well, I've already had that, so I may as well have this as well - and before I know it, I've scarfed chocolates and eaten a sandwich and start to eye up the pasta as well ...

Other people are much easier to deal with than yourself! Grin

Anyway, I have one social event this week to negotiate, but other than that all should be manageable.

Hope you all have a good and successful week Flowers

Great news Ready. 135 is my target. Maybe I'll join you there one day! Grin

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 14/11/2014 17:34

Evening all. Well done ready I so want to be in that spot next year!
A quick question if you don't mind. I feel a bit queasy when I eat over the last few days, almost like that gurgling feeling you might have with a hangover. Only without the fun the night before. I'm not ill and it's usually about 30 mins after eating. Any ideas?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 14/11/2014 17:35

Or pregnant before you ask Wink

Tenementmonster · 14/11/2014 17:53

Koala
My standard fare at the take away is tandoori chicken, aubergine bhaji and cauliflower bhaji. All low carb. If you fancy saag paneer that's just cheese and spinach.

MrsKoala · 14/11/2014 18:24

mmmmm yum. i think a curry is the way to go :) We have chicken tomo so i may have Lamb tikka - that's okay isn't it?

Wombat22 · 14/11/2014 18:44

Just a shout out to ready Well done. Have a fantastic day Saturday Thanks

Was wondering is any of the previous boot camps were about and if they were still using the pulling method and if it really was long term beneficial.

ClashCityRocker · 14/11/2014 21:56

Pulling method? What's that then?

The last pulling method I encountered was a shed load of Guinness and a pickled egg...

Reader, I married him!

SayraT · 14/11/2014 22:05

bitchy do you mean oil pulling? I don't know that anyone did that on previous BC but I've read about it elsewhere.

After all the talk about coconut oil I went and bought some proper stuff. Its yummy, I love the fact it tastes like coconuts. I will just keep the other (non-virgin, odourless, tasteless) stuff for the bath.

There is a thread about coconut oil in Chat (or AIBU) at the moment. A few people who have tried it have thrown up shortly afterwards.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 14/11/2014 22:19

i believe that is what I meant. I am sure some one was brave enough last october bootcamp Confused

SayraT · 14/11/2014 22:29

Maybe.....I don't think I was around last October. I only started LCing in January this year so you might well be right.

I did try it once but I didn't like the feeling.

"...oil pulling is using coconut oil like a mouth wash, but building up for 20 minutes. It is supposed to get rid of bacteria in your mouth, as well as pulling toxins for your body. It is also supposed to make your teeth very white and shiny..."

Had not imagined it thank goodness Not sure how many of those boot campers are still about though. BIWI does have rather a good success rate. Grin

SayraT · 14/11/2014 22:46

Grin you've got a good memory!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 14/11/2014 22:51

Grin Ironic as lack of memory was one of the scary symptoms i got sent to have a brain scan about.

Oh meant to say, scan was clear. But have chronic fatigue syndrome which was causing alsorts of fun and games kinda symptoms

SayraT · 14/11/2014 23:13

Fantastic news about the scan Grin you must be so relieved Flowers

I know that CFS is no fun either but compared with what you were worrying about hopefully this is 'better'.

It is so hard to say things the way you want to via a forum isn't it!! I hope you know that I don't mean that it is good that you have got CFS or that it isn't a problem at all but just that another outcome could have been worse.

Grin
BitchyTakesOnManagement · 14/11/2014 23:16

No i get what you mean completely. Grin
CFS is frustrating and annoying. But unless I am really stupid it is unlikely to mean i randomly drop dead. All i gotta do is learn to respect the restrictions and I have the possibility for a good quality of life i am aware it isn't quite this simple but iyswim it gives hope. Just wish I could be this stupid insomnia which is driving me mad Hmm

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 14/11/2014 23:27

*rid of the insomnia

polealltheway · 15/11/2014 00:03

Hi can I join? What exactly are the rules can someone point me in the right direction?

I know I need to low carb, I know I will hate it but I'm 2 stone over weight and desperate! Help

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 15/11/2014 00:22

If you click on the link in the opening post to the spreadsheet there are the rules on one of the tabs if that helps.

ChesterDrawers · 15/11/2014 06:43

Shit, just woke up from two days of carby twatdom. It started with a taste of DS's birthday cake and went downhill from there. AF is three days late, which isn't helping. Just done a test but negative.

So I am going to get back on it, hard as it's DS's party today then we are away on holiday for a few days. Made soup for the grown ups so can eat that but need to avoid bread and, of course, bloody cake.

Going to allow myself dairy again for a few days while I get back on track and will be avoiding the scales til next week I think.

Off to make 1,000 sandwiches. Have a good Saturday, all.

BestIsWest · 15/11/2014 07:46

I have had a complete stall for the last 3 weeks and am on the verge of giving up.

Can someone explain the fat macro thing in simple terms to me.

It's a new day so I am going to try to treat it as a new start but I need some new ideas and motivation.

SayraT · 15/11/2014 08:30

best sorry I can't help with macro stuff. I think it's something like aim for 70% fat but not sure on protein and carbs.

I just wanted to ask if you give up what will you do and do you think you will lose weight if you stop eating this way? I finished the previous bc (May bc) at 215 lbs, currently I am 212 lbs. So that's a loss of 3lbs in 5 months.

It is tempting to say "fuck it" sometimes but, for me, I'd be heavier or STS on another WOE so that's why I stick with it.

I'm sorry I can't remember what stage you are at, do you still have a lot to lose?

Hopefully someone who can help will be along soon.

Tanukisan · 15/11/2014 08:47

Can you give us some examples of what you're eating, Best?

BestIsWest · 15/11/2014 09:04

I have lost a stone and a half since starting May bootcamp, two stone since January but I still need to lose at least another 3. I am over the moon with what I've lost so far and it always takes me ages to lose weight due to an underlying health issue.

So 5 lbs down this bootcamp but that was in the first two weeks.

I know it's working for me, and as you say sayra if I was on any other WOE I'd be gaining weight.

A typical day

B - 2 eggs mashed with butter, small bowl of Lidl greek yoghurt.
L - chicken thigh and avocado salad with pesto. Yesterday I had Waitrocse celeriac soup.
D - usually a green curry or bacon and eggs and mushrooms or what ever the family are having but the low carb version. Yesterday they were having sausages with pasta and a tomato sauce so I had courgetti cooked in olive oil in place of the pasta and only a little bit of the sauce. Sausages were Lidl ones so were low carb.

I also had some nuts, a coffee with double cream, and a cup of tea with lacto free milk.

I am going to cut out the nuts and maybe the cream and not eat any cheese either. I do struggle with the water but drink copious amounts of black tea.

It's just disheartening at the moment.
