Eeek! I'm not stepping on the scales this morning, so will not be confessing all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Family wedding this weekend, and no control over food means I really don't want to see what number is on the scales!

Anyway, don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker

Here's to a successful week for all of us. Hopefully those who have seen things slow down/stop will see the scales begin to move again from now on.

best I think some people get a cauliflower dish, no idea what it is called though, sorry.

trashcanjunkie · 28/10/2014 18:40

More meat Best!

Hiya everyone, long time no see Grin I've been in hospital having my foot surgery, and took a bit longer to get home than anticipated. They made me climb stairs using crutches Hmm I'm getting a wheelchair at the end of the week, so that will give me a bit more independence.

Foodwise I have been pretty spot on, but can't weigh myself for a few weeks as no weight bearing. I don't mind really, I can see clearly where it's shifting, and I can still take measurements.

Also I'm hoping to be around more on the thread as I am bed bound for the rest of this week, and off work for the next three months!

Laters losers Grin

BestIsWest · 28/10/2014 18:55

Double tandoori chicken then! What was up with your foot Trash ?

wooobatsandghouls · 28/10/2014 18:57

Welcome back trash For you Thanks

BiWitched · 28/10/2014 19:45

Best - cauliflower or mushroom bhaji are both good (as in vegetable curries, not something in pastry!)

Well, finally back to eating normally after last week's lurg, so thought I'd post up today's intake:
B: ff total blueberries n cinnamon
L: hot salty chicken stock with boursin stirred thro, ham and coleslaw
D: lamb cutlets with olive oil garlic and thyme, cauliflower cheese, little gem and crispy kale
S: pork scratchings, handful pecans and 1 square of 90% cocoa choc
W: still finding it hard to get this back on track but will be on 2 litres by end of the day. Work in progress
E: none - giving myself a few days of better eating to get my strength back

BestIsWest · 28/10/2014 20:42

They made me a special dish with cauli, spinach and garlic and spices. Was delicious with the chicken.

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 28/10/2014 21:07

Hello Trash! Thanks for your foot.

I am so so tired still and I've realised I'm eating low carb mish mash rather then low carb meals (hmm, cause and effect there!).

B: cheesy eggs
L: cheesy cabbage
D: 2 bunless big macs (DS's birthday treat). Cake made with like a MIM but with almonds and truvia, topped with soft cheese mixed with cream then raspberries on top. It tasted like a cream tea! I'm sure this is a diet wrecker really, even though it's low carb, but it kept me off the ice cream and birthday cake and was a real treat. (I'm not sure about big mac sauce either [sticks head in sand]).

Someone upthread said that they're always thirsty. (I've looked back and I can't find who!) I really struggle with this when LCing - I always have a spongy, thirsty feeling in my mouth and get through 6l/day with ease. BIWI said on a previous bootcamp that constant thirst cam be low salt and taking heed of this has really worked for me so far.

I have a runner's electrolyte replacement tablet in 500ml of water each morning and I do it again later if I'm running. It stops me getting through 3l of water before 11am which I suspect leached more salt out of me and became and ever decreasing circle. I don't feel constantly thirsty either.

The tablets aren't ideal as they have artificial sweeteners in and I'm sure you could use bouillon/oxo - but they give me reflux first thing in the morning so rehydration tablets work better for me.

I really really have to go to bed now. I have a proper lunch in the fridge for tomorrow - tuna, spinach, mayo, dressing and an avocado! Yum.

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 28/10/2014 21:08

NB: not the rehydration tablets with sugar in, needless to say... Grin

Best I want your curry Grin

TwoflowersLuggage · 28/10/2014 21:15

I'm a day late with my weigh-in this week (had a drink on Saturday and I know that it takes a couple of days to work through my system) and I've had a 2lb loss since last Monday. Pleased with that.

HauntedChesterDrawers · 28/10/2014 22:52

Checking in before bed. Sorry to hear about your foot but good you've stuck with it food wise.

My day:

B: eggs, butter, cream
L: prawn, avocado, little gem, olive oil
D: chicken breast pizza things - a bit disappointing tbh, not sure what I was expecting but it was a bit un satisfying.
Because of rubbish tea: small glass of red wine, total with cream and a chunk of double Gloucester with chives.

Slipping into too much dairy again. Must cut down again.

HauntedChesterDrawers · 28/10/2014 22:54

That first bit was for Trashy Blush

Well done TwoFlowers - 2lbs is great.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 29/10/2014 00:12

I must admit i rather enjoyed my almighty fry up for tea tonight. Spent most of the day turfing out stuff which has been in storage and cleaning up after building work. I forgot to eat lunch and grab a light late snack. Clearly I need an alarm to remind me about eating as I felt very ill second half of this afternoon and first half of the evening. The fry up fixed it. Diet? what diet?

BIWI is there a link on the spread sheet of wonderfulness to that study you posted on a previous bootcamp about the relationship between sleep and weight loss? I think I need to re read it.

HauntedChesterDrawers · 29/10/2014 06:49

Feel like I've not been eating enough veg this week, only managed a bit of lettuce and the tomato sauce on my chicken pizza yesterday. Going to try and remedy that today. And keep dairy down.

B: boiled eggs, butter, spinach
L: mushroom soup with butter and a bit of cream
D: salmon wrapped in Parma ham, asparagus in butter, roast broccoli

Might chuck in a BPC too mid afternoon if needed. Going for an interval run too after I drop DS at nursery.

BiWitched · 29/10/2014 07:08

Bitchy - I don't know, but have a look here

A pound up this morning and realised that I was so busy yesterday I hadn't thought to drink. First glass of water already already downed today.
Sorry about the foot trashy.

CecyHall · 29/10/2014 07:47

Morning everyone

Yesterday was coffee and cream for breakfast, prawn and avocado salad for lunch and lamb steaks with broccoli and mushrooms for tea, I had a bit of Brie for 'pudding'.

I'm going to try and get some eggs today and maybe make some egg mayo lettuce wraps for breakfast tomorrow as I'm feeling a bit clogged up with cream in the mornings.

Have a good day everyone!

SixImpossible · 29/10/2014 07:58

STS this last week, but that's OK because I have had a bit of a Wow! moment and I think I know exactly why: my appetite has shrunk, but I have not responded to it. I need to go down from 3-egg omelettes to 2-egg omelettes. Or even Shock leave food on my plate. Ah, greed Smile. It took a week of indigestion tablets and gastric regrets to make me face up to this.

(BTW, indigestion tablets just autocorrected to defeatism tablets - Grin appropriate!)

This week has so far gone better than last, despite my dread of half-term.

Very encouraging to read others' stories, even the not-so-good ones, as I know I have been or will be where each of you are.

Whem I know in going to be in a morning rush I prepare my eggy mix the night before, in a well-buttered wide-based bowl, and bung it in the fridge. 4mins in the microwave while I'm helping chivvying ranting at dc making a cup of tea, and my breakfast's ready to eat.

Current favourite egg recipe is

2 eggs (not 3 any more)
Heaped tbsp butter
Heaped tbsp mayo
Tbsp raw tahina (the un diluted sort)
Scant tbsp crunchy peanut butter

All beaten together very thoroughly. Pinch of Fleur de Sel on top once cooked (and dollop of creme fraiche if there's time). Sometimes I omit the tahina and/or the peanut butter, in which case I use more mayo.

SayraT · 29/10/2014 08:03

Sorry that you didn't enjoy your chicken pizza chester I really enjoyed mine. I didn't have enough veg yesterday either so with you on that one.

Mmm, I think a prawn and avocado salad is going on my menu this week cecy

pisses and someone else do I remember that you had problems with the Sainsburys own brand coconut cream not being cream? I did as well but the last couple of weeks I've been buying Sainsburys own brand coconut milk except it is like cream! So if you want coconut cream then buy the milk instead and see what it is like.

B: Coconut porridge
L: Chicken salad
D: TBD

It seems that the coconut porridge is not causing any weight-loss problems, I am doing another lb since Monday weigh-in and the scales even flickered down to the next lb down Grin

I also checked my BF and it has gone from 47% in January down to 43% today so I am pleased about that.

Have a good day everyone.

SayraT · 29/10/2014 08:03

doing = down!

Pisseslikeahorse · 29/10/2014 08:14

Yesterday
s. coffee cream then 9k run
B. bacon eggs
L. chicken salad (with the pickle)
D. Beef mince pasta sauce with cauliflower

today
B. Bacon eggs mushrooms
L. Tuna Avocado salad
D. Pork chop & roast cauliflower

Pisseslikeahorse · 29/10/2014 08:16

RatherBeOnThePiste · 29/10/2014 08:16

Just keeping on, keeping on here, have a good day all.

BestIsWest · 29/10/2014 08:24

Just had the coconut porridge and It was lovely. I did thin it with a bit of water. I think it will hit the spot in the winter when I want something warming in the morning.

Sayra have you tried soaking it overnight so that the coconut softens? Would it work?

MrsKoala · 29/10/2014 09:13

Morning all. I think i will try the coconut porridge too in the cold mornings - i am missing the warm feeling of porridge.

Thank you all for the encouraging words yesterday. I'm so glad i didn't give in and as a reward i woke this morning with a visibly flatter stomach and can defo see some differences in my face. :)

I am very very thirsty tho, even while drinking i feel thirsty is this usual and does it stop? I am drinking mint tea all day to take a kind of weird taste from my mouth too.

Yesterday i had:
b - yogurt and berries
l - turkey and ratatouille
snack - olives and cheese
dinner - salmon and green veg in butter
snack - 2 gherkins
2 small glasses of white wine and soda
