Eeek! I'm not stepping on the scales this morning, so will not be confessing all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Family wedding this weekend, and no control over food means I really don't want to see what number is on the scales!

Anyway, don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker

Here's to a successful week for all of us. Hopefully those who have seen things slow down/stop will see the scales begin to move again from now on.

That's interesting re leptin reset.

I think after the ten weeks are up, I shall have an experiment and see. Not going to try it yet as just straight LC-ing is working well for me ATM.

It's going really quickly though - six weeks in tomorrow!

Bitchy have you considered looking for a sweetner as close in appearance to sugar as possible and just filling up the container with that instead?

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 02/11/2014 15:04

With my memory issues atm I would forget and end up with inedible food (think school bakes/sport club bakes/etc). I am kinda hoping that the wish to make breakfast in bed goes back into hibernation tomo with the return to school. Although it does seem to be a sweeting excise to be allowed minecraft videos. Amazing how much of the back log of homework will be submitted on monday Hmm Will have a look though as there is others in the house who could do with cutting their sugar intake down. But they are adults and do as they chose and are NOT going on a diet

I think we just have to find what suits us. I tried carb re-feeds and had the most awful carb cravings. I would just get back on track and I'd be due another. I was careful not to go for anything sugary but I just had to accept that carbs will never be my friend. Maybe it depends on how active you are. I know some experts recommend having your re-feed on a day when you do a workout. Again, not appropriate for me as I have to stagger my exercise to avoid muscle damage.

Well done aNote for climbing out of the carb pit. Glad the damage wasn't any worse.

SayraT that porridge sounds yum. Do you know of any alternative versions without the almonds? I've had a flare up of the VPS lately and need to keep a firm rein on the oxalates so all nuts are out.

SayraT · 02/11/2014 17:07

miffy I am sure you could make it without the almonds, I think they just give it a smoother texture. Is there anything similar in texture that you can have? Do you get ground coconut? Or maybe ground flax? I have no idea what that would taste like.

I tried to make almond butter cookies today, they were rank so I wouldn't recommend them. In case anyone does want to try then feel free to come round here and get some, they are low in carbs (about 2g per cookie) but you probably will only eat about .25g of carbs Grin

Not posted food for a while so this is today:

B: Two hardboiled eggs and butter, coffee with cream
L: Omelette "pizza" with peppers and mushrooms
D: Beef mince with tinned tomatoes and mushrooms with spices and salad
S: One bite of a disgusting almond butter cookie, one square of lindt intense orange chocolate (10g carbs)

I'm back! But broken..
My bridesmaids really did me proud and it was a brilliant weekend. Wasn't very lc friendly though, a huge of amount of alcohol was consumed.
I also picked out my boudoir photos today too. Some of them are amazing. Some I hate. Brilliant experience though and I am really pleased I did it.
Haven't dared to jump on the scales, think I'm going to give that a miss for the next few days.

ChesterDrawers · 02/11/2014 18:17

I have just made mayonnaise for the first time. I don't like mayonnaise but this was amazing and is going on everything I eat for the next few days!

Kitchen is trashed though, thank goodness for DH Grin

BIWI · 02/11/2014 18:53

What are boudoir photos?!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 02/11/2014 19:34

Grin BIWI they are tasteful pictures meant for the bloke/partner which require little material substance or choice....

SayraT · 02/11/2014 19:51

I misread that as boudoir potatoes!

fairylightsintheloft · 02/11/2014 21:37

bollocks - was doing ok, lost 3 lb weeks 1-3 then last week was staying with MIL and just had to go with what was served, total, total fail - pasta, mash, toast Sad Have put it ALL back on. Starting again tomorrow + running /Shred but v v v pissed off. Well done to all those doing so well - am reading for inspiration...

Liveinthepresent · 02/11/2014 21:52

fairylights it will be ok - that must be very hard because you haven't made bad choices yourself. I don't know your stats or anything so others may offer better support - but you will get back on track.

I have my birthday coming up and am determined not too get too upset that there are bound to be a few situations I can't control.
Mind you I went for lunch today and was feeling so calm beforehand - but even though I tried to choose well - a roast but was planning to avoid gravy and potatoes it was loaded with carbs, hardly any green veg. It really annoyed me but I just ate as little as I thought I could get away with (and fed DS the really bad bits!)

keep on keeping on

Liveinthepresent · 02/11/2014 21:56

ooh ready glad you had an amazing time and are pleased you did the boudoir shots.

Chester jealous of home made mayo and yes thank goodness for DH's. Mine has just cooked low carb shepherds pie - leftovers for lunch - sorted!

Hello all. A loss of 1.8 pounds for me which I am very happy with, as I engaged in serious twattery this week. So am relieved and grateful to be moving downwards again.

Congratulations to the losers, and well done on hanging in to the gainers and STSers. We will all hobble over the finish line in the end.
