Eeek! I'm not stepping on the scales this morning, so will not be confessing all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Family wedding this weekend, and no control over food means I really don't want to see what number is on the scales!

Anyway, don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker

Here's to a successful week for all of us. Hopefully those who have seen things slow down/stop will see the scales begin to move again from now on.

It was a fall off the wagon when I was referred for a brain scan. Waiting to results and follow up but there is a possibility that they want to rule out it is not a tumor. They suspect that the symptoms are linked to an existing condition but they need to be sure. It was why I ended up in the debate of emotional eating that I was very much apart of last week. But as I said last week, what ever the result of the scan I owe myself to be in the best possible start for whatever journey lies ahead of me. Now that emotional side is dealt with I am hoping to be back on track. I am lucky it was only 2kg and I can fluctuate that much in a month anyway but feeling yucky for it and looking forwards to this week and onwards

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 27/10/2014 19:02

Sorry, i rather have a tendency to be a bit to blunt and honest when over tired. Blush sorry about that. Most of that has no place on this thread Blush

ClashCityRocker · 27/10/2014 19:15

Thanks for bitchy

Hope all goes well and you're back on track soon.

Had scrambled eggs for lunch.

Tea is a beef patty with a teaspoon of garlic purée, tomato purée and cheese on top with salad.

Should do ok on the water. On about 2.5 l, but should make three by bedtime.

Been doing the thirty day squat, abs and arms challenge for the last couple of days. I'm now walking like John Wayne.

ClashCityRocker · 27/10/2014 19:17

And for the record, I didn't find the latter half of the thread too bad, I like thinking 'what would I do' in that situation.

But if it's making life difficult please do speak up - I'm sure no-one wants that for fellow bc-ers.

rybka13 · 27/10/2014 19:23

bitchy I hope everything is going to be OK and results will be good. That shows how easily we can judge somebody unfair not knowing whole story. It may look sometimes like shallow, moaning, attention seeking post (not saying yours was goddess forbid, generalizing) but there is a human being behind it with all sorts of problems we don't know. Me simpleton posted moany post as well last week so I'm giving myself slap on a wrist.

Pleaseandthankyou · 27/10/2014 19:24

Oh everyone has been a bit cross today. Bitchy, I had a brain scan a few years ago to rule out a tumour. Even though I never actually thought I had one the whole experience totally knocked me for six. I was really taken aback by how vulnerable I felt. I remember meeting a friend who had no idea I had had a brain scan and I just burst into tears (a very unusual reaction from me.)I think putting on a few pounds is a small thing in the greater scheme of things. If you get motivated again the pounds will come off. I just put 8lbs on in two weeks on holiday. Back on bootcamp and I have lost 4lbs in 4 days. I find the thread very motivating even if people moan sometimes. That's life, everyone has up days and down days. Bitchy I hope that your result is good news. I will be thinking of you.

Roseformeplease · 27/10/2014 19:25

Hello again all. Haven't posted much but have lost 3.5lbs in my first week (started Sat before last) and am chuffed. Still have a long way to go (at least 17lbs) but I resisted cake today and felt bad because a colleague had separated some for me because she knew I have an allergy and had made some especially. She was lovely when I apologised but I still feel a flush of guilt for saying no thanks.

I can't seem to access the spreadsheet so would be so grateful if someone would add me. Start weight 192.25lbs weight now 188.75lbs. Thanks so much. I really am making progress after finding this corner and the willpower it projects.

SayraT · 27/10/2014 19:26

[bitchy] I think most of us would fall off the wagon if we had something difficult like that to deal with. I remember you saying that now, sorry, sometimes I forget who says what!

You are right though, the best thing to do is to be as healthy as possible. Falling off the wagon and face first into a pile of carbs will not change the results and will not make you feel better either.

Heres a hand to help you get back on track Smile

SayraT · 27/10/2014 19:29

Thats you added rose

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 27/10/2014 19:34

pleaseand it is hard to know what to say and how much sometimes isn't it. It has a big impact on my life, but I am small in the grand scheme of things and what is my life is not that of most of the mnners on the thread. Hence trying to keep as much info of this thread and else where iyswim. This is about diet support and if the sake of everyone it does need to stay that way. It is what it is, and in the worst case senerio I have been devising a plan so i go out with a bang, and incase it is best case I have another plan to kick the ass of life for giving me such a scare WinkGrin first step it that I want to hit 11 stone again. And ideally I would like to get back into the 10 stones. As for the rest of it, I am working on it but I am here to have my ass kicked into line by bootcamp Grin

Speaking of which something easy for tea that is not dairy or eggs for tea? I am in danger of looking like an egg if i keep eating them the rate i am BlushGrin Come on now I know you all eat inspirational exciting food. So inspire me!!!!

Roseformeplease · 27/10/2014 19:44

SayraT - thanks so much. Flowers for you and for everyone keeping me off the cake and carbs.

BigSpottyCupofTea · 27/10/2014 19:51

BIWI - I did see the messages but you know where you do that thing where you think 'ah it probably won't mean me'??!! That's what I was doing (because I was being a bit daft!) But despite STS I'm sure my face is starting to change shape and the lovehandles which I have which should really have their own postcode are getting smaller so I'm definitely sticking with it (and really it's not exactly a terrible thing to stick with - the food's brilliant unlike every other diet I've ever done and I just don't get hungry in the same way). Thanks BIWI Thanks

MrsHerculePoirot · 27/10/2014 19:57

Welcome beyond, I think you are pretty close to bootcamp/bootcamp lite. Feel free to post what you are eating if you want, from what I sae on your thread it looked absolutely fine.

bitchy, of course it will knock you for six. Keep, posting for support whenever you need it. The same goes for everybody!

BiWitched · 27/10/2014 20:05

Oh Bitchy - I'm not surprised you're all over the place!

BiWitched · 27/10/2014 20:07

MrsHP is very wise to draw a line under things, and suggest that we all get on with the business of supporting each other!

Please, please, please remember that we are here to help, chivvy, support and share our experiences and our concerns, as well as our successes. We are all different, and have different needs and requirements from this WOE. But the one thing that unites us is that we are all, to quote an odious politician, in this together

Week 5 - Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - we reach the half way point!
ClashCityRocker · 27/10/2014 20:28

What have you got in bitchy?

Any ham? Salad? omlette

HauntedChesterDrawers · 27/10/2014 20:32

Bitchy, sorry to hear about your tough time Flowers

Err, tea? How about a stir fry, chicken breast pizza (I'm having this tomorrow), kale chips, swede chips, big chunk of butter??? What have you got in?

I totally hear you about the eggs thing.

MrsHerculePoirot · 27/10/2014 20:33

bitchy have you got food or do you need to shop? If you have stuff, what sorts of things do you have?

We like cheese and cold meats with olives/capers. Bacon, sausages? Tinned fish? Pate on celery, cucumber? Tuna mayo?

Pisseslikeahorse · 27/10/2014 20:34

bitchy - Avocado tuna fork mashed with garlic, chilli (or both) with olive oil and some salad ????

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 27/10/2014 20:39

Ooo have tuna, have to be careful with mayo, need to double check i haven't already maxed out my CMP for today as I can't remember whether the mayo is milk free or not Hmm

I have cauliflower, cabbage, and broccoli in, and meat that can be defrosted. Problem is all my go to low effort stuff usually involves dairy so very Confused about where to go when no energy or wish to cook.

Grin @omlette I swear we need shares in eggs, we'd all recoup some of the cost in dividends Grin

Am thinking tuna, perhaps with frozen cauli nuked to mush with lots of butter to make mash... microwave does the work.

You lot are geniuses!!!! Grin

MrsHerculePoirot · 27/10/2014 20:42

Cauli mash is lush. As is roasted cauliflower with chili flakes, or salt and pepper... (Roasted broccoli too is lovely!).

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 27/10/2014 20:43

Unfortunately chilli and garlic are on my always banned food list (allergies) Good job i like boring food HmmGrin

MrsHerculePoirot · 27/10/2014 20:55

Soz! Salt and pepper it is then... (Are they ok?!?)
