Eeek! I'm not stepping on the scales this morning, so will not be confessing all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Family wedding this weekend, and no control over food means I really don't want to see what number is on the scales!

Anyway, don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker

Here's to a successful week for all of us. Hopefully those who have seen things slow down/stop will see the scales begin to move again from now on.

it's triggering for other posters who are doing Bootcamp though, Ditzy.

You are welcome to post, read, lurk - but posting about high carb food isn't great, on a low carb thread!

OP posts:
BiWitched · 27/10/2014 14:02

By the way, there is a whole, separate section for low carb diets, as well as the section for Bootcamp.

Ditzy71 · 27/10/2014 14:07

Thanks but no one seems to post on the low carb thread for any length of time. That's the trouble. There doesn't seem to be any half way thread for those of us who are low carbing. As you know even the new Atkins includes small amounts of bread, carbs etc. Its learning your own limits isn't it? Anyway, thanks.

BiWitched · 27/10/2014 14:13

Have you found the low carb section though? It's not just one thread.

I'm sorry if you felt attacked or humiliated by the way. Not what I meant to do.

OP posts:
Ditzy71 · 27/10/2014 14:17

I have looked on the low carb section but the threads seem to all die a death. There is nothing ongoing. If I am missing something then please point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Smile

SayraT · 27/10/2014 14:19

Hi Ditzy

One lovely poster said to me that some of you are doing ongoing low carb (bootcamp light) and that I was welcome to post here.

Some of us are ongoing LCers and are doing BClite but all that means to us is adding in some berries (occasionally, not every day) and allowing ourselves some nuts.

Here is a link to the Low Carb Diets section where people do all sorts of LC diets (paelo, primal, lower carb, just cutting out sugar etc).

The Bootcamp section here was set up specifically for BIWIs BC which is more strict than some other LC diets as, I think, some people didn't like the threads taking over.

Hopefully you can find some like-minded people in the LC but not BC section Smile

CharlieSierra · 27/10/2014 14:32

Wow, ouch. I've asked for my posts to be deleted.

Ditzy71 · 27/10/2014 14:49

Thanks Sayra. I really appreciate you taking the time to link me and I have had a look.

Good Luck to you all doing Bootcamp.Smile

SayraT · 27/10/2014 14:58

No problem Ditzy good luck, looked like whatever you were doing was working for you Smile

captainmummy · 27/10/2014 15:33

Ditzy -most people doing low carb need to be under 30g/day of carbs to be in ketosis. I know I do. Your eating looks like paleo to me. If you find your weight plateauing try ditching the fruit, late and sugar stuff.

There are some really good results going on, so people are clearly doing right.

Ditzy71 · 27/10/2014 15:41

Thank you Captain. Yes, maybe it is paleo as I know paleo is low carb too but not like bootcamp. I will stick to this anyway as I am losing weight and keeping it off.
Thanks.

rybka13 · 27/10/2014 15:54

Ooops, what a tense day we having here today! Is it that phase of the moon or what? I am on maternity but usualy we have a lot of lunatics customers around full moon time at work Wink I am glad we back here to normal abnormality now Grin
Please, please folks, no more upsetting, humiliation and other tortures. Only BIWItched authorised to use corporal punishment.

readyforno2 · 27/10/2014 16:02

Haven't weighed in yet, big well done to all losers this week! Love the name change BIWI

HauntedChesterDrawers · 27/10/2014 16:26

God, I'm starving today. I've just scoffed my stash of almonds (about 80g Blush) in an attempt to stave off the hunger. It's not worked so now I'm sloshing more water down my neck - hope I don't get stuck in traffic on the way home.

FWIW, I think it's great to have somewhere to come and vent, with like-minded people, many of whom will have gone through/are going through the same thing. The experience on this thread is amazing as are the people who give their time freely to help people like me try to find their way through the weightloss/low carb maze.

We're all going to have ups and downs and I think the thread will reflect that. I didn't feel last week's thread was particularly negative and am sorry if my moaning abut sticky scales and sweet cravings has offended anyone.

cardoon · 27/10/2014 17:15

Yes, a lot of sensitive souls around today - before you know it they'll be calling you BIBItched Wink

Keep your chin up BIWI Halloween Grin

CrabbyTheCrabster · 27/10/2014 17:24

Well I've just re-read the whole of last week's thread Figrus I think you must have been reading a completely different one Confused. I don't see any negativity or 'moaning', just an interesting discussion about emotional eating and lots of people feeling ill with the lurgy, still staying on track and supporting each other. Charlie you also posted about feeling crap, so it seems a bit rich to resent others doing the same!

I'm with BIWI on this - your comments are unfair and will have made lots of people wonder whether it's them you were aiming your 'moaners' comment at. Not supportive at all!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/10/2014 17:24

Bonjour!

Je returned from ma vacancies a Nice, which was tres bien, the soleil shined, des enfants frolicked dans la mer azure, et je laid sur le plage. Twas bliss. Oui.

Catching up with the thread. Well done to all losers, all supportive vibes from me for anyone struggling with any part of this.

Actually eating low carb in France was easy and very pleasurable, only thing I had different to the rest of the time on bootcamp was some rather lovely red wine, and not lots, I appreciated what I had more. I am a Tuesday weigher so fingers crossed all is well.

So keeping on, keeping on here.

MrsHerculePoirot · 27/10/2014 17:26

Sorry some people felt upset about the last thread, personally I hadn't noticed any issues tbh, but definitely say something next time so that it can be sorted and everyone can continue to feel supported.

Right you lot, let's all have a group hug - we can all do this together if we stick together against those evil carbs, don't let em bring us down! See line drawn beneath it all below...

I have lost 9lbs so far, and AF has been. I am quit proud of myself today as I made food choices in situations where previously I have thought 'fuck it' because I was out.

sayra, I am now down to your Monday weight, I am going to try to catch you up as motivation ;)

BestIsWest · 27/10/2014 17:37

I've just gone back to the last thread and I can't see anything other than people being supportive. Please say if something is upsetting you. I was very down and had some health issues at the end of week 3/ start of week 4 and I posted about it and got great support especially from Sayra who gave me great advice which worked ( for which I haven't thanked her so Flowers Sayra.

I'd hate to think anything I posted was making someone feel down, I'd rather they were direct with me.

BeyondPreparedForHell · 27/10/2014 17:50

Hi all :)

I'm not technically bootcamping, so wont post my meals here, but am trying low carbing for the first time ever (i have a thread over in the general low carb section where i am posting my meals, then was kindly invited over here :) )

My aim is sort of somewhere between the bootcamp and bootcamp light. I intend to (really!!) start swimming this week too (having been advised to by physio six months ago...), so because of my health problems dont want to overdo it being too strict "dieting" at the same time as starting exercise, and end up keeling over!

wooobatsandghouls · 27/10/2014 18:04

Evening all Grin
I've been mostly lurking on the thread as I am struggling a bit and not BC'ing but trying to stick to low carb. I read the thread every day and have found it to be very supportive. I have done the last 3 bootcamps. It's sad that a couple of posters aren't happy but I agree with Biwi
I haven't gained any weight so I'm happy with that. Good luck all Smile

wooobatsandghouls · 27/10/2014 18:06

I'm usually Wombat22 Blush

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 27/10/2014 18:44

I feel like i have walked into a twilight zone and need to go back and read the second half of last weeks thread now. I did write a post but deleted most of it, most if it was not so very important and rather waffly but the main point I wanted to make was in this first paragraph of that original post.

I have said something on past threads when people were posting high details of the cheats and the things that they were avoid and it was derailing me. It was listened to and avoided so I would agree with those advising to say something. As for discussions on the emotional side of things. If you are an emotional eater, changing your diet isn't going to fix the problem if you don't deal with the underlying emotional issues. Sometimes you need to bounce this off others to get a full perspective of the situation. If you are not an emotional eater then you, imo, are lucky.

My weight has gone back up to what it was at the start of bootcamp :(

Food:
b - 3 eggs scrambled plus 2 x coffee
l - 2 eggs turned into egg mayo and some eaten wrapped by ham (yum)
drunk a further 4 coffees today

I don't really want anything been up since 5am, drunk too much coffee and there is nothing inspirational or quick (and i am in danger of eating more eggs Blush ) will accept ideas for cba already in bed and don't want to get back up food. Stupidly tired and seem to just be filling up on water instead of eating. This is bad and will bite me in the bum tomo so an application of BIWI's big stick is probably needed although i suspect it might be applied more forcefully than normal after reading the first part of the thread today

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 27/10/2014 18:45

Love the halloween nn Wooobat Grin

SayraT · 27/10/2014 18:48

Oh no bitchy did something in particular happen for you to put weight on? How much was it, could it be something else like TOTM?

If you are looking for something quick without having eggs I sometimes have tuna melt, I think BIWI recommended it. Its basically tuna drained a little, mix some cream through it, add some grated cheese and microwave.
