Morning all. I'm not liking this Autumnal stuff at all!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your first official weigh in

And don't forget there's also the Weight Tracker if you want to keep it private.

You can, obviously use both Grin

If you're looking for inspiration in the kitchen, have a browse of the Recipe Thread and feel free to add any of your own ideas.

I hope that you're all through the other side of carb flu, if you suffered from it, and wish you all a very good second week.

Sounds an awful day BIWI - some clients are just bastards and without knowing what happened they often become the "Sods Law" clients, for whom if something can go wrong, it will. Hmm

For those that are struggling to drink enough water, I've found that if I double up the glasses of water I have (every time I go to the loo and then random times I am close to a sink), then that easily increases my water intake by a third Smile. I can't easily increase the number of hot drinks I have (mostly herbal teas) but it only takes a few extra seconds to chug down a 2nd glass of water.

Hello, I've had a bit of a crazy week and only just catching up with the week2 thread! I managed to lose 3lbs last week....only for them all to pop back up yesterday! Bugger! But I think I'm coming up to that time of the month, I've been really lax with the water and I've caught my son's stinking cold. However, I've stuck to low carbs and still overall feeling pretty good.

Congratulations on all the loses and everyone else, we'll just keep at it! And I'll try and catch up a bit....

HRH008isback · 09/10/2014 09:53

Hello everyone,
Everyone is doing so well! You are all v inspirational. Slow start this week... Actually went up a lb or so... But my trousers are looser and my stomach flatter, so am sure it'll reflect on the scales eventually.

Eats
Black coffee, 2 egg omlette w shallot and tomato.
Home made meatballs, tomatoes and avocado salsa
Tuna salad with creamy dressing

I think I'm going to cut down on the cheese and yoghurt... They make me feel bloated and i don't miss them.
Looking forward to the next weigh in!

HumphreyCobbler · 09/10/2014 12:41

Hello everyone. Well done to you all!

I bought two bottles of poncey artisan water yesterday just because they were 1L. Now I can fill them both at the tap in the morning and I am reminded to get through them before six in the evening. I can't be doing with all this getting up in the night although babyCobbler woke up about every twenty minutes last night

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 09/10/2014 12:58

SayraT or whoever can fix the spread sheet of wonderfulness, the conversion from kg to lbs is broken :(

SayraT · 09/10/2014 13:19

Oh no! I will fix it ASAP but the conversions are the hardest thing to fix, it always takes me ages to work out the formula! Grin

On the speadsheet PLEASE DO NOT put any data into the cells which are blue in colour, these contain the formula which work out the conversions.

Bitchy its fixed now, luckily kg - lbs is an easy one Smile

BIBI and other wise low carvers, please advise …is cocoa off-limited on BC?

I've been craving chocolate all day. So I tried mixing up some creme fraiche with cocoa powder and cinnamon. It worked a treat, and did take the edge off the chocolate cravings. But then I decided to check the carbs on the cocoa tin and it says 9g Sad . Granted it's 9g per 100g but still … would hate to compromise the process on cocoa when I've been strong willed about staying off the sweet things. BIBI I'm hoping you're going to say it's all fine … (it was pure cocoa powder - no sugar or milk powder added)

prettybird · 09/10/2014 15:25

BIWI not BIBI (it's was originally " BecauseI'mWorthIt" - and she very definitely is! Grin)

I think pure cocoa is fine: I'm sure I've heard of people producing wee chocolate "fixes" the same way you have. :)

prettybird · 09/10/2014 15:27

SayraT - can you protect those cells so that someone doesn't inadvertantly muck up the formulae?

aNoteToFollowSo · 09/10/2014 15:44

BIWI, BIWI I swear I knew that. And yes, she most definitely is worth it. Sorry BIWI!

Glad to hear you think cocoa is okay bird

I am proud to report that I have at last made my way through the recipes thread, and now can't wait to try out all I learned.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/10/2014 15:53

I quite like BIBI now you know?

prettybird · 09/10/2014 16:52

but the squares of dark aka "healthy' chocolate that I've been sneaking very definitely aren't allowed Blush

ChesterDrawers · 09/10/2014 17:56

A bit of a revelation today.

I have had a very stressful afternoon for several reasons which would most certainly have seen me either 1) attack the vending machine in the office 2) stop at the garage on the way home (which I did but only for petrol) 3) be on my second glass of wine by now 4) abandon my diet or, more likely, all of the above.

Today, I really didn't feel like doing any of this, infact I just feel a bit sick at the minute. Now if there was wine in the house, I'm pretty certain I'd have a glass later, but am home alone with DS so no chance of getting any and really am not that arsed.

Very weird but this is genuinely how I feel. This diet is crazy!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/10/2014 18:39

No bloody cheating!

Chester - I went to biggest shop near here, and no tea

ChesterDrawers · 09/10/2014 18:53

Pistey Sad Not had chance to look round here yet. Will report back, but not hopeful.

ClashCityRocker · 09/10/2014 19:28

My appetite has definitely shrunk. It might be all the water though.

Good day so far:
B - Greek yog
L - chicken and bacon salad
T - Beef curry with brocolli and cauli rice.

Water - 3l is a doodle!

I haven't had any real cravings for bread, rice or pasta, so pleased with that, in particular bread, and not really missed sugar.

Pisseslikeahorse · 09/10/2014 19:32

ChesterDrawers - well done!

gointothewoods · 09/10/2014 19:37

LOL every time someone calls BIWI BIBI, I think of this. It really happened, I was listening at the time!

Radio presenter Gerry Ryan: (during a discussion on whether people would like to be buried or cremated when they die) - "Would you like to be buried or cremated?" Caller: "Oh, buried Gerry." Gerry Ryan: "And where would you like to be buried?" Caller: "Up to me balls in Bibi Baskin!"

BIBI was a TV personality.. Grin

yongnian · 09/10/2014 19:53

And my day has looked like this...
B: ff yog, dbl cream cinnamon and dollop peanut butter
L: fried bacon avacado and spinach salad with xv o oil & red wine vinegar dressing, topped with toasted pine nuts
D: chicken thighs roasted with rosemary, sea salt, sweet potato chips, haricot beans and courgettes (I know - sweet pots carby but I am on bc lite)
S: 2 corns thins with butter
W: 3 litres so far, should be 3.5 by bedtime
E: rest day (ha! Toting 7 month old baby around not included!!)

Excitingly, my shape is really changing now - including some of those really unsightly sticking out bits that are hard to shift! Stomach and waist have been on the move ever since first starting but this and the exercise are really producing results. So thrilled!! Hardly any cravings at all and am really enjoying the food. All round, its the holy grail!!

gointothewoods · 09/10/2014 19:54

And today was pretty ok, foodwise.
3 coffees throughout the day and 3 L water.
B: bacon and avocado
L: meatballs, homemade coleslaw, few cherry tomatoes, spinach leaves
D: nothing yet, had a couple of slices of cheese and really not hungry. Didn't even pick at the children's food. Might have some turkey, avocado, spinach leaves just for the sake of eating..

aNoteToFollowSo · 09/10/2014 20:08

Grin at your buried story woods. Bibi does trip off the tongue a little easier …

A bit of a munchy day here, including munching on cocoa in f/f yoghurt. I wonder if not having eggs for breakfast made the difference. I did:

B: asparagus with lemon butter
L: salmon fillet. Couldn't be arsed to do the salad with it.
D: stir fry and salad

S: vast amounts of creme fraiche

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 09/10/2014 20:20

Struggling tonight. stressed. only just got to the point where I can consider tea but it is too late and I am too tired to cook. I need some tea (other that the two chicken thighs I have eaten) but tbh I would rather just fall into a pile of carby comfort food. I am not going to but it is a real struggle, especially as it is in the house and every single other bloody ad seems to be for food on the telly tonight Hmm

Anyone got any moral/quick trick food ideas? Keeping in mind I have already eaten 5 eggs today.

ChesterDrawers · 09/10/2014 20:37

I've made cauliflower pizza and it is bloody lovely. Took ages to get it nice and crispy but well worth it.

Now to keep away from that bottle of Peroni in the fridge... Grin

Week 2 - Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - how was the first week?!
thisusernameisunavailable · 09/10/2014 21:14

Does any one else want to call BIWI BIBI just for fun now (shifty eyes) Grin

Chester you call also use that base to make garlic "bread", garlic cream cheese (for ease and speed) and cheese, or make own topping with butter and garlic.

ChesterDrawers · 09/10/2014 21:22

Username, that made made laugh!

Loving the garlic bread idea too. Would go nice with courgetti spagetti and some kind of sauce too tired to get my head around what kind of sauce.

Remind me why I found it hard to stick to this WOE last time I tried...
