Welcome everyone! I'm starting the thread early because I have to be up and out of the house at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your starting weight

If you don't want to put your weight on the public spreadsheet, you can enter it on the weight tracker. (This probably won't be available until tomorrow morning)

If you've joined up very recently, and your name isn't on the spreadsheet, just add it on at the bottom - the very lovely SayraT will re-alphabetize everything later.

morning! pleased to see that am still 9lb off starting weight from the last attempt in May which was interrupted by dds accident. (he's fine btw!)

since then I have been better wrt carbs, and have felt better for choosing an alternative.

bit hung over this morning due to medicinal prosecco going down rather too well, but i'll be fine!

lots of water beckons... and a hot date for tonight Grin

Badvoc123 · 29/09/2014 07:37

Ohhhh....I do bad things to spreadsheets :(
Could someone clever add me on?
Badvoc...weight 66.3 kgs.
Thanks!

BigSpottyCupofTea · 29/09/2014 07:47

Thank you to BIWI and Sayra

Oh good god is all I can say about this morning's weigh in. I didn't know it was quite that bad. At least this morning I don't feel like eating something bad to try to make myself feel better. Downhill is the only way. I have never weighed this much in my life!

glenthebattleostrich · 29/09/2014 07:48

Morning all.

Thanks for organising this again.

I've kept off the 10lb from last boot camp where I did cheat a bit so hoping for good results being strict this time.

185lb this morning, onwards and downwards. Have a good day everyone

ClashCityRocker · 29/09/2014 07:51

All ready, weighed myself, will update spreadsheet later when I'm on the PC.

Thanks for sorting this, and good luck fellow boot campers!

ChesterDrawers · 29/09/2014 07:56

Weighed in - horrific experience, but done now. Onwards and downwards.

Plan is:

B: scrambled eggs, little double cream, butter
L: Salmon, salad, olive oil
D: Home made burgers with bacon and cheese, swede chips and possibly something with courgettes as I seem to have loads in the fridge.

5k interval run scheduled in for after work too.

questions2008 · 29/09/2014 07:57

Let's do this!

I started about 12 weeks ago at 184 lbs, I'm now 164lbs. Yay!

This last week I ate bits and pieces of carby food, but unlike after other diets, I did not stuff my face with whole bars of chocolate. And now I'm back in the zone!

Must work on my water though, has slipped a lot. My aim this BC is to break the 70kg, so thats 10 lbs.

Grin
amigababy · 29/09/2014 08:02

amigababy · 29/09/2014 08:03

SayraT · 29/09/2014 08:04

RatherBeOnThePiste · 29/09/2014 08:08

Morning all, and thanks BIWI

Thanks
BitchyTakesOnManagement · 29/09/2014 08:08

BIWI - have you changed the water rule? I remember it being different depending on how much you had to lose. Is there good reasons for this?

SayraT · 29/09/2014 08:19

bitchy I think that the water is always minimum 2 litres but yes you are right you need more the more you have to lose.

I will see if I can find it.

Here it is, copied and pasted for the May BC...

"The more weight you have to lose, the more water you should drink. This is from www.low-carbdiet.co.uk/. Water is essential to weight loss for those who eat low-carb. The minimum consumed in a day should be:

Your Weight----Litres
140lbs-----2.5
160lbs-----3.0
180lbs-----3.0
200lbs-----3.5
220lbs-----3.5
240lbs-----4.0
260lbs-----4.5
280lbs-----4.5
300lbs-----5.0
320lbs-----5.5
340lbs-----5.5
360lbs-----6.0
380lbs-----6.5
400lbs-----6.5

High levels of ketones in the blood stream can lead to a reduction in ketone production, therefore being well hydrated could aid in keeping the levels low and ketone production ongoing. Consuming enough water can have many other positive side effects: aids your kidneys with the processing of protein, reduces the retention of water, helps with preventing constipation, and reduces the levels of ketones released by your breath, which in-turn will reduce breath odour.

However, drinking a lot of water can mean that you also need to keep an eye on your electrolyte balance. You need to make sure that you are consuming sufficient sodium and potassium. On a low carb diet we can eat more salt, so make sure that you are cooking with salt and adding salt to food, if you like it. Good, low carb, sources of potassium are spinach (raw), avocado, mushrooms, courgettes and asparagus, as well as salmon and yoghurt.

BiggerYellowTaxi · 29/09/2014 08:38

I'm in. I'm breastfeeding my 9 month old but she doesn't feed so much now so I'm going to give proper low carb a go but if I feel really awful or there seems problems with my milk I'll add in some berries and nuts. Off to Aldi this morning to buy out the veg section.

outtolunchagain · 29/09/2014 08:39

I'm in again , started really well last time but was overtaken by a bit of a RL drama . Determined to continue this time .My main bugbear is breakfast , I really struggle to face cooked on weekdays Hmm I need to solve that problem this time

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 29/09/2014 08:42

Thanks SayraT was wondering if my memory from past times on the thread was playing up. Relieved it is not.

Goldensunnydays81 · 29/09/2014 08:42

Well i have weighed in and weigh lots Blush but it can only go down well i hope!!! Have had a pint of water, only 7 more to go today Grin.
Off to tesco in a bit to stock up my fridge with lots of nice low carb food.

Thank you for all the spreadsheets and lists think i am going to need them lots.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 29/09/2014 08:42

Total full fat yogurt with teeny bit of cinnamon?

Tis my go to breakfast, know what you mean re cooking. I also allow myself two cups of tea with milk a day, factor those carbs in.

Also with the water, much better to take it in steadily rather than gulp down great quantities. I also get used to it, don't have to go to the loo constantly!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 29/09/2014 08:58

I can be good to aim for the 2ltrs if you don't drink that much and build up to the advisable amount too.

I have been drinking 3ltrs water regualarly for an age now and don't have to think about it unless I have a stupid busy day. Your body and mind do get used to it but probably best not to give it a watery shock to start off with.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 29/09/2014 08:59

IT can be good. Blush
I can be good but generally find life is more fun when there is a bit of naughty too. Sticking to the diet though it is not being factored into the planned naughty. Grin

SixImpossible · 29/09/2014 09:13

If you can't face cooking breakfast on a weekday (who has the time, anyway!?) try keeping a stock of hard boiled eggs in the fridge. They are my go-too emergency snack/meal/munchy during BC.

cousinsandra · 29/09/2014 09:26

Thanks for adding, looking forward to the firm guidance! Lost about a stone last time and a few have sneaked back on... eggy breakfast down and motivation back!

ponygirlcurtis · 29/09/2014 09:33

Morning everyone! Am raring to go. Have been pretty good still since the last Bootcamp ended, but had a blow-out over the weekend - my first eating of carbs properly in several months - so I am now looking forward to getting back into it. Lost 12lb overall in last Bootcamp, am a couple of Lbs heavier after my carby weekend but that's all (and I know that will disappear fast once I am back LCing). Aiming to lose a similar amount again in this Bootcamp. I am doing this.

Day off here in Scotland, and I am house-bound due to potty training DS2, so am going to use the opportunity to get organised - eggs boiling for snacks, going to make an over-baked frittata with eggs, mushrooms and salmon for lunches during the week. I find buying a roast chicken from Asda is good for providing a ready source of picky protein if I get a snacky urge, so that's going on my shopping list too.

Huge thanks to BIWI and SayraT for organising all this. You are stars. Smile

CrabbyTheCrabster · 29/09/2014 09:36

Morning all, hope everyone's feeling excited and positive. Smile

I've just weighed in at 11st 7lbs. That's 7lbs off since the beginning of September when I started low(ish) carbing again. Have been eating an apple with cheese for lunch wuite often, and having butternut squash sometimes, but I'll omit those from the menu for the next couple of weeks. I'm sticking to bootcamp light rules though because I can't give up my CrabbyCrumble Blush as it seems to be doing the trick at the mo. I spent two weeks in the middle of the month hovering around losing/gaining the same lb and feeling like it wasn't happening this time around, but seeing that written down - 7lbs in a month is great. Smile

Good luck everyone. Actually no it's not luck; if you stick to the rules and don't cheat, the weight will come off. Good will power to everyone, then. Wink

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 29/09/2014 09:44

I've just had a fried egg with streaky bacon and mushrooms for breakfast Grin so far so good Grin

It's cheered me right up after my first weigh in!
