Welcome everyone! I'm starting the thread early because I have to be up and out of the house at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your starting weight

If you don't want to put your weight on the public spreadsheet, you can enter it on the weight tracker. (This probably won't be available until tomorrow morning)

If you've joined up very recently, and your name isn't on the spreadsheet, just add it on at the bottom - the very lovely SayraT will re-alphabetize everything later.

Just marking my place - I'm more of a lurker - but I survived day 1.

Everyone else's menu looks lovely, I'm probably in danger of overdosing on eggs!

yongnian · 30/09/2014 11:06

Just lost my post with what ive eaten as elderly iPad dumped it...anyway, it's going well. Could someone add me to the spreadsheet a it won't let me do that either.
Enjoying it and hearing from everyone else!

Littlepinkpear · 30/09/2014 11:14

Big deep breath. I'm in.

10st 7lbs on day 1. 5 month old DD2 in tow and BF so will be taking it easy on myself.

This is the heaviest I have ever been. My one and only trip to weight watchers saw me breakdown when I weighed in at 10st 2lb.

I managed all of my water yesterday and no carbs. Night feeding is seeing me need a coffee in the morning but all other drinks are decaf.

Will need love, support, hand holding and shouting at to stay away from the cake tin!

masquerade · 30/09/2014 11:36

Morning, a day late but I'm also in.

I lost about 8lbs low carbing for around 3-4 weeks before my holiday. Got back on Sunday and have put 4lbs on, it was a lovely pasta filled carb fest but we also walked loads so it could have been worse!

I would really like to lose 2 stone by Christmas! This would take me to the lowest I've been in quite a few years but still a good couple of stone above an ideal BMI. I've decided to go back to low carbing because I loved how little hunger I felt when doing it last month.

I haven't been shopping yet and probably not going until 2ish, but I'm writing a list and will get something suitable for a snack before tea.

Things I need to try harder at are drinking enough water and learning to like eggs!

B - greek yoghurt
L -
D - chicken, mushrooms and leeks in creamy mustard sauce with cauliflower mash

Good luck everyone!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 30/09/2014 11:51

Masquerade, i want to lose a similar amount to you. Although I suspect that I won't achieve this, only got about 2 stone to lose so that last bit will be harder to shift than the first bit

Breakfast was late but was 3 eggs scrambled plus the remaining 2 slices of bacon
Lunch is going to be cauliflower cheese (cauliflower cooked in mircowave with some cheese grated over the top)
Tea will be chicken and veg - not sure what veg yet because i am not cooking but it will be veg of some sort.

StuntNun · 30/09/2014 12:06

25% off pork belly at M&S? Don't mind if I do!

siiiiiiiiigh · 30/09/2014 12:16

waving.

joining.

hoping to not fall off the bandwagon again

BIWI · 30/09/2014 12:27

masquerade - why no lunch?! First rule of Bootcamp is et three meals a day

Littlepinkpear - no carbs? Really?! This is a low carb diet, not a no carb diet - you should be getting your carbs from vegetables and salad

Hello everyone!
Despite best intentions, nowhere near enough water yesterday so really going to try to have my three litres today.
After never having milk in my coffee for years, last but one bootcamp gave me a serious coffee-with-cream addiction. Is it okay, if rest of carb intake low (ie with the cream, carbs don't add up to more than around 50g a day)?? (hopeful face)
Not drinking milk and will avoid cheese as much as possible...
Today:
B Coffee with cream x2
L Bacon and eggs (x3 – yes, am greedy but figured it's best to eat a lot of what I can eat this week until my body has got used to being low carb again)
D Will be slow-cooked lamb shoulder with swede and greens (lamb on offer in supermarket this week)
Really want to get back that feeling of not being hungry and having so much more energy....

ClashCityRocker · 30/09/2014 13:07

Today I'm trying to hit the water, too.

B Bacon and Mushroom
L Scrambled Eggs
T Smoked Haddock with kale and broccoli and a butter sauce.

I already feel less bloated...

PseudoBadger · 30/09/2014 13:15

Breakfast - scrambled eggs with butter
Snack - 100g Total (to try and prevent headache of yesterday)
Lunch - left over chicken thigh casserole
Dinner - pork belly, buttery leeks, broccoli

MrsGuyMartin · 30/09/2014 13:29

First chance I've had to come on and add yesterday's food...
B: total yogurt with d cream and vanilla paste. 2 egg omelette with cream and mushrooms
L: avocado, tuna and egg mayo with salad and dressing
T: salmon with spinach in butter, cauliflower and broccoli
2xtea with milk
W: 1.5 ltrs I got a bit sidetracked but have finally bought a water filter as I've worked out I don't drink enough because I don't like the hard water here.

Does this seem alright?

Hobbes8 · 30/09/2014 13:30

Today isn't going so great:
B: Greek yogurt
L: chicken, avocado, olives and a couple of cocktail sausages

However I had a cupcake at the nursery coffee morning this morning - one of those social pressure things as I didn't even fancy it that much.

Also dinner and tomorrow's breakfast is going to be tricky as we need to unplug and move the fridge before our new one comes tomorrow. The eggs should keep OK for breakfast but I have no meat and don't want to buy any before the fridge comes. I'll have a takeaway, be as good as I can, and have a fresh start tomorrow.

We're supposed to be getting most of our carbs from veg and salad! How many cups of coffee are you getting through a day? If you're only having a couple, then it's probably fine, but just be careful that the number doesn't creep up too much

B Coffee with cream x2

Where is your food? First rule of Bootcamp is three meals a day! Coffee doesn't count as food Grin

Could one of our resident experts have a look at this recipe here I know it would be not ok for the strict phase. But how would it rate for bootcamp light?

BIWI · 30/09/2014 13:36

MrsGuyMartin that seems fine - just check how much sugar is in the vanilla paste. And you definitely need more water

Hobbes8 - I'm afraid that you are going to have to find strategies to deal with things like the cupcakes!

What's wrong with stuff like tinned tuna for tonight, rather than a takeaway? What kind of takeaway are you planning on? They can be deceptive in terms of carbs.

It's all very well saying a fresh start tomorrow, but that means you will have to do a full two weeks from tomorrow.

OP posts:
BIWI · 30/09/2014 13:39

Bitchy - it depends entirely on how many carbs in the flour/flax meal - I bought some coconut flour once and it was pretty high in carbs (around 20g per 100g from memory).

I'd be amazed if that was really low enough in carbs even for Bootcamp Light.

CharlieSierra · 30/09/2014 13:44

Hello, can I join please, I need the discipline of a weekly weigh in and some low carb expertise. I have added myself (I think) and will bone up on all the rules.

Hobbes8 · 30/09/2014 13:47

Hmm tinned tuna might be an idea. I was looking at my cupboard staples and it was full of pasta, rice, pulses etc. I was thinking of a curry tonight, without rice obviously, but I suspect there might be sugar in the sauces.

PseudoBadger · 30/09/2014 13:48

Hobbes - I guarantee that if you are strict now then cupcakes won't appeal at all very very soon :)

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 30/09/2014 13:57

I was wondering about that BIWI thanks for confirming my suspicions.

CQ · 30/09/2014 14:16

I've just had some really sad news from a dear friend's husband that she has a brain tumour and is unlikely to see Christmas. I feel completely sideswiped. We saw them all in the summer - her family and ours all round a table laughing and talking and drinking. Such bittersweet memories now.

Trying very very hard to resist the chocolate that's in the fridge. Actually, I am telling myself that obesity is a big risk factor for cancer and my lovely Susan would tell me that - she has survived breast cancer twice, only to be hit with this. Life is shit sometimes SadSad

No sure why I'm posting that here, but I can't get hold of DH on the phone and the kids won't be home for hours. I just needed to tell someone.

Badvoc123 · 30/09/2014 14:18

I'm very sorry about your friend x

BigSpottyCupofTea · 30/09/2014 14:26

Hugs to CQ. My brother died in April from brain cancer - it is shit isn't it. Sorry to hear about your friend and make the most of the time you've got left x

spamm · 30/09/2014 14:38

CQ - so sorry for the news about your friend's DH. She will likely need lots of support from you and that will be hard on everybody, especially with precious family events like Christmas approaching.

Hope you are ok - and I think we all agree that this thread is about staying on track, talking about triggers, emotional eating issues, etc..., so we are all here to support you.
