BIWI, I've been low carbing following boot camp/boot camp lite since the May bootcamp.
Should I introduce some carbs before the the next one or just carry on the way I am? Probably got about 12lb-16lb to get to my ultimate target

bungleberry · 16/09/2014 07:30

I would love to join this please, read some threads and ready to give it a go

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 16/09/2014 07:34

I'm starting up next week. Lost a stone in total, which I was chuffed about, but another before Christmas would be miraculous good. I've cut out milk and fizzy pop totally, which I think really helps maintaining.

booksandchoc · 16/09/2014 07:44

Just read up on some of the info and I would like to join please. Can someone add me to the list? I'm on my phone. I'll start cutting out stuff on the list now in prep for 29th sept.

HRH008isback · 16/09/2014 08:20

Me too me too!!

Just came back from Greek baklava-stuffed holiday and have to get back into suits this week...

It's not going to be pretty... Lots of span and distracting scarves I think...

HRH008isback · 16/09/2014 08:20

SpanX

HRH008isback · 16/09/2014 08:21

Though my arse span is enormous....

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/09/2014 08:48

My arse has its own postcode

Morning Brew

readyforno2 - I'd just carry on as you are. No point introducing carbs to then have to lose them!

The other thing to know is that apart from not eating those foods, there are ten rules of Bootcamp. The idea of Bootcamp is that you don't need to do any weighing or counting of anything (and certainly not calories). It's designed to be as easy as possible to follow. Just follow the rules and you will be fine.

The ten rules are:

  1. Eat three proper meals a day.
  2. Focus on pure, natural protein as the basis for your meals - meat/fish/eggs. Avoid processed meats, which includes bacon, sausages and ham (and other processed foods) as much as you can
  3. Eat lots of fat
  4. Make sure you are eating vegetables and salads with your food.
This is where your carbs should come from, and this is non-negotiable.
  1. Be careful about dairy (apart from butter, which is unlimited).
  2. You must drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day. The more weight you have to lose, the more water you should drink.
  3. No alcohol.
  4. No fruit.
  5. No nuts/seeds
10. No sugar or artificial sweeteners

If you look at the tabs at the bottom of the last spreadsheet you will find an explanation for each of these rules

BIWI · 16/09/2014 09:04

... and I can tell you now that the rules that people have the most problem with are 4, 6 and 7 Grin

BIWI · 16/09/2014 09:04

Arrrrgggghhhh! No sorry - rules 3, 6 and 7.

I've been dallying with low carb but overdoing it on cheese, nuts and red wine (vegetarian's downfall, although that doesn't explain the wine) so here goes...

I will join you on my road to redemption and lose those pounds I've gained Wink

and could someone please add me to the list as I can't from my (old) iPod app

No beans (or any other kind of legume) on Bootcamp!

Whilst they are a much better kind of carb than white bread/pasta, they are still very carby - something to be introduced gradually once you start approaching/have reached your target weight

Username12345 · 16/09/2014 13:44

May I join?

I've already eased myself into into but cutting high carb foods. Lost 3lbs in a week Smile

BIWI · 16/09/2014 13:49

Of course!
