Clara - thanks for the tips on Next!! Hope you're ok .

Lou - what did you say when the puppy nibbled your toes? 'Steady Eddie.'

I've been out in the sales today and got ds two coats and a skating hoodie (topman) two t-shirts (river island)and school shoes M&S. All really brilliant bargains.

I got a clutch bag in tkmax for often mentioned wedding. And I almost bought these for it as well Could I wear them with tights and are they too cheap??.

Anybody seen any fit and interesting men on line recently? (To get back to topic).

OP posts:
ninah · 24/07/2010 23:08

You could wear them with very sheer tights
.. as for thread topic nah

lou33 · 24/07/2010 23:46

monty, yes you could and no they arent

i thought it was v cute when i got nibbled

Monty100 · 24/07/2010 23:53

Ninah - how's your hols going?

Lou - puppies are soooo cute.

Thanks for reassurance on shoes. I don't want to spend too much either as I may never wear them again.

Ds loved the stuff I bought him.

How come no-one's joining thread?

Are we talking too much sofa, I'm committed to singledom, or.... singlies are all on hols lucky buggers??

i think everyone is knackered from the last school term

i never ever spend lots of money on clothes, and despite the prices of new look shoes, i have always found them easy to wear

Monty100 · 25/07/2010 00:05

Lou - I agree, everyone's prob knackered.
I spend the minimum on clothes, although I love them, it's fortunate that I love shopping (have you noticed) so I usually buy what I can afford. I love buying stuff for the house too and only buy bargains for that.

Ooooh monty I was tempted to buy a purple Ka this week. I had one before and there very easy to drive and cheap to run. And cute! I held back as I am poor and technically dont need a car. But I want one. So I am of you today!

Lou- glad to hear ex is being reasonable. My sister actually had an apology out of the blue yesterday from her ex bout the way he treated her- she nearly died of shock!

Remotew · 25/07/2010 10:26

A friend has just bought a brand new KA. I am tempted to change my mini for one. The mini is costing a bit to run. Trouble is there is a strange noise coming from the Gearbox, apparantly, and I'm sure I've got negative equity on it. Any tips from Al Monty? I need to sort something out as I'm struggling financially atm. Is it just me?

Absolutely nothing going on on POF for me. No messages off anyone remotely interesting.

Meant to be going out today to an event. It's not raining but it's grey and dull. Will have a few drinks to drown my sorrows. Got a terrible dry cough and feeling a bit down. Maybe it's my birthday looming, feeling broke and lonely.

Hope everyone else is a bit chirpier than I this morning.

Monty100 · 25/07/2010 13:51

Eve - Al says he couldn't diagnose it without hearing it but it could be the clutch release bearing or the differential (which is part of the gear box), if it's the CRB he says you might as well change the clutch at the same time which would cost about £140 . Lou's dp might have a diagnosis.

Eve - I have to watch every penny too. Things are getting harder. I know I have Al to help me out and he does, but I'm actually quite proud about standing on my own two feet, and I understand the worry. It takes a brave and strong woman to handle parenthood alone, especially with the success you've enjoyed with dd. Get out of the house, go and have a drink, and remind yourself how well you have done. It was dull here earlier but sunny now, so the sun might even come out.

DD and I were talking about when she gets paid, she says she can't imagine having so much money and said I've given her deep rooted worries about spending money . I said you go girl, I've got two children you haven't . Bless her.

Clara - I'm not insured on the KA yet until tomorrow but I did drive it round the block, it's really nippy. It's a very posh car for me . IT'S GOT A CD PLAYER, I've never had a car with a CD player before lol.

Lou - Exh apologised to me once, it didn't wash tbh. (Twunt).

lou you are right, for me anyway - wiped out by last term. Went out with ex and dc yesterday so no rest til today, have made up for it by lounging around all day eating boxes of thank you chocs! House is like a tip but I am ignoring it until I recover a bit!
Monty wow at your new car! would love a purple one . Can I pick Al's brains when the time comes? Had to laugh, ex arrived in a borrowed as his had failed MOT wheareas my antique which cost c50 times less is going strong - it does have a CD player albeit not a working one. It gets a bit excited when you give it too much petrol that's all. And is usually v mud splattered. I indulge my inner rebel by parking it in an ostentatious position in the school car park next to a shiny teacher model.
My dream car would be a Jag with leather interior and walnut dash, and I'd drive round in it and leer at fit and interesting men. I am waiting til I am truly old for that one.
Spending - I economise madly all the time and I am sure my dc pick up on it. Which is sad because I had a frugal childhood too and I would rather they didn't inherit the worry habit.

lou33 · 25/07/2010 17:49

Eve if you email me via fb about whats wrong i will relay it to dp

Remotew · 25/07/2010 21:23

Lou, thanks, you/DP has mail. lol

lou33 · 25/07/2010 21:48

you have a reply

Monty100 · 25/07/2010 22:36

Evening all.

Eve - how was your day? Did you go out and enjoy yourself? Did the sun come out?

Lou - I knew your dp would be helpful. When I was asking Al he was watching the Grand Pricks Prix lolol.

Ninah - Lol at muddy car, Al has one of those citreon thingies CV2? to sell at the minute. I could see you in one of those . I'm sure he could give you some advice on yours when you need it. Have you got a KA??
Dd certainly does seem to have picked up on my economies, but she has a certain way with her that you wouldn't know iyswim. DS is the opposite tho . I gave him £10 one day last week and he spent the lot in one day . They are chalk and cheese. DS is great in completely different ways.

The Adonis has been ensconced here again today. He didn't socialise at all. Words will have to be had I feel.

i like f1 but i dont really get time to watch it now

my bil used to race in f1 years ago, so obviously i watched it more then, but i also had less children to distract me than now

Monty100 · 25/07/2010 22:55

Lou - I really like it but couldn't eat a whole one ifyswim . I could do Shummie tho .

good afternoon everyone i hope you are all ok?!

Janos · 26/07/2010 20:09

Evening everyone

Have been having a vee hectic and somewhat draining time of it lately.

Ex is back up to his nasty, spiteful tricks again, just when I thought he was starting to behave like a decent human being (funny how he always does this).

Latest is 'Daddy loves me more than you', and 'it's best if I live with Daddy because you don't have a proper family'.

FFS. I go out my way to be reasonable about access, I do my best to keep him involved in DS' day to day life and he doesn't pay maintenance. What the fucking hell is wrong with this idiot? I suppose it's because I have the temerity to manage without him.

Also helped friend deal with horrible stressfuk situ in between all this, working and looking after DS. Can I get a break from my life for 5 minutes please?

RAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH

Sorry, as you were!

ninah · 26/07/2010 21:05

janos you wonder who the child actually is in this situation don't you
and breathe ..
hi aurora, no I haven't taken a look on match for ages
excited about my NEW TENT! well I hope it all works out am planning a test run in my sisters garden this weekend mine is too hilly
is like a litte house (well the pre pitched one was lol)
ds is being a little so and so this hols so far. Which is a pity as I will need him to hold one of the poles.
Monty yes i quite fancy a citreon. My days of actually choosing a make and model are yet to come lol. Present old banger fine for now! Just nice to know a source of advice/car deals is available for the future!

Janos · 26/07/2010 21:22

I know ninah..he's a real piece of work.

Monty and eve, your DDs sound just lovely. You have obviously done a fab job raising them.

Lou - has your XH had a personality transplant or wot??

Monty100 · 26/07/2010 21:42

Janos - Thanks . Exh's just can't see harmony at all can they. What's happening with ds all summer? Are you working? What happened with the young hot guy??

Aurora - someone on here is on match, we should have an ogle lol.

Ninah - congrats on new tent. Any time you're looking at a car let me know. I like the little citroen but I can't be doing with the gear column. They are also freezing in Winter.

Talking of which, I nominated myself today as 'the old bird in the office who can't keep up with technology.' It took me hours to do something really simple because of new software. In the old days we used to roll our eyes unsympathetically when the older people couldn't grasp technology. That'll teach me.

All very quiet here.

OP posts:
Janos · 26/07/2010 21:48

Monty

Hot young bloke was vee nice but really not that hot sadly. Just can't be arsed with mend these days really.

My XP is just a spiteful git. Oh, and apparently I am 'not part of {DSname} family because i'm not a {insert XP surname]'.

What kind of thing is that to tell your son? Fucker!

Sorry, ranting again. Will be quiet now.

Janos · 26/07/2010 21:49

Mend? I mean men of course.
