hello all just been doing a bit of archeology on fb
work of the devil
I need some Brazilian neighbours
dress link, please

Remotew · 25/06/2010 22:12

It's lovely. I'd pinch it off you if I had something special to go to. Would be perfect for September, treat yourself, it is for a wedding after all.

ninah · 25/06/2010 22:12

monty that's v scanty! you will get a chill woman

Remotew · 25/06/2010 22:16

ninah, did you dig up anything interesting.

For anyone on my fb and I know Lou has seen it but I've got a pic on my profile of DD at her prom last night. Think it's on twice. It's with a few other girls. Professional photographer took it and it's lovely. He is putting the lot on his website so will buy one or two off him when I've seen all of them.

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 22:17

Ninah - yes, Brazilian neighbours would be fun! lol at getting a chill.

Eve - isn't it gorgeous. I've just made a really really cheeky offer for one.

If push comes to shove and Ninah is right, I reckon I could wear it with white linen trousers????

elastamum · 25/06/2010 22:21

Ohh, lovely dress!! Wish i had somewhere to wear that kind of stuff! Have just spent the past hour swigging G&T and talking to teacher. He is really nice BUT he isnt traveller unfortunately!! and I havent met anyone else who floats my boat in quite the same way yet is so unavailable!! Still he wants to meet and i will probably meet up with him when I am down his way. better finish the gin and go to bed

ninah · 25/06/2010 22:22

just some rather shockingly weathered faces!
How lovely to have great photos of dd, you sound like you've done a top job with your daughter eve
ps gcse results are 28 aug I think

ninah · 25/06/2010 22:24

monty don't listen to me, I am dressing gown woman
elasta don't go to bed just yet. You've been travelling all week. Sit a little unwind and tell me how you do it, you seem Sooo organised

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 22:27

Elasta - I love that dress. I need it.

Ninah/Eve - I thought dd's came out at some random time. I must be wrong. So, I'll look forward to that in August . DD's AS results will be the week before. .

is anybody else loving this as much as me?

OP posts:
sincitylover · 25/06/2010 22:27

yes think he has a migraine - he hasn't had one before but is prone to headaches.

Will look at prom photos when I can get on the laptop.

Yes it's a nice place we live in - neighbours generally friendly but not in your face. Alot of tolerance for parties etc.

ninah · 25/06/2010 22:30

fecking adore plan B
bought CD but gave it to friend's dh for bday

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 22:40

SCL - I get them occasionally and recognised those symptoms. It could be the humidity that's brought it on too.

Ninah - Aren't they fantastic and he makes me swoon singing that . I might have to get the CD.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 25/06/2010 22:57

mont am liking the dress v you
saw that coast had a sale on but sadly have no valid reason to indulge myself...my black wrap dress was from there
scl ds1 suffers if he doesn't wear his glasses when he's gaming/watching tv etc but thankfully never to migraine extent
tbh i think that they're so into what they're doing that they just forget unless you nag remind them
hoping that he drifts off quickly tonight
lou i guessed right then
eve why are you undecided about this bloke?
elasta def. meet him if he sounds nice and you might be surprised in RL
evening ninah hope you've got one poured!
am also on ebay atm and have had a few good buys today

sincitylover · 25/06/2010 23:10

ok turns out he drunk tesco equiv of a red bull whicj I think may have caused the problem!

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 23:10

ASBM - Oh, I'll take that as a compliment . Lol at black wrap dress, I remember that, it was the early days wasn't it. What did you get on ebay???? Do share . Did you like the plan b link?

Elasta - I think you should meet him too.

OP posts:
ninah · 25/06/2010 23:13

yes go on
I have bought a scary pic of a woman who looks v pissed off in an Elizabethan headdress
not sure why, but yes i have got one poured lol

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 23:16

Oh, Ninah, link????

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 25/06/2010 23:28

scl
they can't be told can they?
mont it was a complement
what was your cheeky offer then?
have been buying foodie/cake dec books today for some reason they all finished around the same time..
don't these pics scare the kids ninah?!
my lot used to be freaked out by one particular one of mine which was strategically placed behind the tv

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 23:49

ASBM - thank you . My offer was £50, I don't expect it to be accepted for one nano second. I'll up it to £75 if they get back at all. You can but try. I've never done best offer before tbh, I don't suppose you can really be that cheeky lol.

PMSL at your scary picture behind the tv. Pure class and genius to boot.

When we were little we had a drawing room , it was a really traditional room, persian rug, wooden floor type thing, down to the red velvet curtain on the brass rail on the door! Above the marble fireplace was a picture of a ship in a storm, the ship was called the Three Bells. That picture used to scare the bejaysus out of me.

OP posts:
ninah · 25/06/2010 23:50

not sure yet asbm
I am counting on it though

Monty100 · 26/06/2010 00:03

We used to get up to real mischief in that room. Someone told me it was a ghost ship, now I have learned that pictures are used to scare calm children down lol.

I can't find it.

There was a mahogany library bookcase thing in there and we used to use it as a stage and perform plays on it lol. All the cushions from the sofas would be on the floor and we would be running around using them as stepping stones playing 'catch', my mother would have lit the fire lol. Funny thought provoking stuff, scary paintings lol.

OP posts:
Monty100 · 26/06/2010 00:04

That is a world record of 'lols' in one post.

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/06/2010 00:04

fingers crossed monty
has it had many viewers?
think it's v steep even for FC tbh, i wouldn't be surprised if it ends up relisted
your drawing room sounds lovely esp.the marble fireplace{period features emoticon}
what's happened to the pic now?
seriously tho i didn't really give it a second thought when i placed this particular print where it is
dd was particularly spooked by it but only admitted to it recently lol

ninah · 26/06/2010 00:05

yes where is the pic monty
I will make you an offer lol

Monty100 · 26/06/2010 00:18

Sadly I don't know where it is now. It may be in the attic of my deceased parents' house. Not the same house, it's a different house now. I'll ask my db, he lives there. Other than that the 'maid' might have nicked it when we were moving (many years ago). She app had quite a lot of stuff out of there. (Sounds v pretentious but that was how it was before my df became ill). It was something like this.

Anyways, back to the dress . Yes, you never know. There was three available at buy it now or best offer. It was £195 in the shop . No way would I pay that for a dress.
