lou33 · 25/06/2010 18:00
Smile
aurorastargazer · 25/06/2010 18:19

hi lou how are you today, hope you're feeling loads better? you keep disappearing off fb!

aurorastargazer · 25/06/2010 19:00

right have to go now ladies, hope you all have a good weekend, catch up next week xx

lou33 · 25/06/2010 19:11

sorry, it's because i am still not well, so keep going to flake out

i have gone from sore throat and aching bones/ headache to feeling like i want to be sick every time i was upright, to having the runs for the last couple of days

and as i havent been able to eat much or keep it in me, i feel a bit feeble

i do feel better than yesterday but still rubbish, so hopefully tomorrow i will manage to actually go a whole day without symptoms

also i overdid it today as i had a load of child related driving about to do, and the cupboards were bare

plus the heat is not fun when you feel ropey

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 20:19

Hi everybody

Lou - hope you feel better soon, that sounds nasty.

Yes, 'sick' means good!
But what he thinks is 'sick' and what the markers think is 'sick' might not be the same thing! It will be interesting. I'm not sure when he gets the results, Eve do you know? He had a pile of coursework at Easter and it was like pulling teeth trying to get him to do it.

Oh, A bit of good news for once. I got a very pleasant surprise today. The Tax Credit people had dd down as having left school since last year, they've paid me a lump sum of back credits since last August . Quite a princely sum too! I hope they haven't made a mistake.

Thank crunchie it's Friday. Get this, coming home from work the train driver got out of his cab at a station to clean the window and fell down on the track!! It was hilarious in a way, cos I was in the front carriage and all we could hear was this grunting coming from somewhere and everyone was sniggering. Then when we discovered he wasn't allowed to drive the train, everyone got out on the platform saying 'can't you just get another driver' without showing any sympathy whatsoever. It was funny. Not so funny that it took me two hours to get home. His broom was lying on the track! He was cleaning his windows with a broom! What an eejit. He didn't look very hurt either . Grr. It must have held up thousands of commuters because it's a single track station and obviously other trains were backing up behind him!

Monty, Is it a GCSE I don't know the exact date the results are out this year, should google it but don't want to think about it atm.

I told Stallion that I wouldn't be going to his and that I will meet him when he has a night off for a drink. He was still asking to meet me out tonight. I am really bored but still cannot be bothered. Got a hectic weekend with family up so a couple of get togethers and 4 days off to look forward to.

lou33 · 25/06/2010 20:56

gcse's usually come out after a levels i think, iirc it is august sometime

monty thank you, i do actually feel a bit better each day, just not enough so far

but seeing as on weds i was feeling too shite to do the school runs and do any driving at all (thank goodness dp had come down because he had a day off so he did it), or anything else for that matter, but today i have driven about 50 miles ferrying kids and doing a food shop, i know i am on the mend

i just cant eat and have the runs, and feel washed out

luckily the weekend means i can lie in so should feel fine by monday

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 21:02

Eve - it is an early GCSE but I think they get these results in January or something odd. Can't remember now, dd did some and the results came at an odd time.

Oh, I don't know about Stallion Eve. If I was bored stiff I'd probably be tempted but you might give him wrong ideas a) you're easily available (if it's v late) b) that you're quite interested in him. But then, do you care what he thinks?

I was so wanting to book Monday off but boss gets annoyed if people don't turn up to the Monday morning sodding team meeting.

I'm glued to sofa, I am drained, and there's sod all on the tv that I'm interested in. I'm too lazy tired to go to the shop to get a couple of beers and dp is out watching footie. He'll bring some back with him tho.

OP posts:
lou33 · 25/06/2010 21:07

make sure he does monty

can you maybe have a half day on monday after the droning on meeting is done?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 25/06/2010 21:30

jesus lou that sounds awful
i take it that dp has been working solid too?
it's def the worst thing about being a single mum
i'm guessing that their dad isn't having them at all over the w/e?{tosser emoticon}
eve you can't knock him for trying lol
agree that it's v scary when you're pursued like this but there is a possibility that he's like this because he's actually genuine..just a thought
dp if you remember was like this and in my cynical state i just couldn't take him seriously and tbh i look back now and think that i was a bit of a cow towards him
but heyho self preservation and all that!!
of course the flip-side is that he's keen but only for a shag, and once he's had you he'll drop you!!
mont was just wondering if you had one cracked but see that you're waiting for your delivery
fantastic news about the tax credits do hope that you're going to be treating yourself!
home alone for me tonight so am enjoying the vino-nice crisp rose

Remotew · 25/06/2010 21:40

ASBM, I don't think he is just after that, he does seem genuine I don't know if I like him or not!

Monty he will get his results late August with the rest of year 11's. DD did early ones last summer and got the results along with the others.

I am shattered too tonight and have had a jippy tummy all week. I just need an early night, although I am drinking beer for some reason.

DD is away for a few days next week, and has been out and about a lot recently, I'm starting to feel lonely. I knew this would happen, not long ago I was trying to get her to go out more.

sincitylover · 25/06/2010 21:45

another drained one here. Next door neighbours are Brazilian so having a party and they are very hospitable - asked me to join but happy just to sit in back garden with wine.

DS2 played with their dd - they are the same age.

Now we are sitting in darkness because ds1 says the light is hurting his eyes - he is saying he has white spots in front of his eyes - he hasn't got a temperature and can put his chin on his chest. he won't go to bed because he is scared I think. Not sure what to think. he does have glasses but doesn't wear them enough. he has prob been on ps3/laptop for several hours.

he is also upset because exh has now said he can't watch him at cricket on sun because he has house viewings.

lou33 · 25/06/2010 21:45

you guess right asbm

dp is working flat out now so will barely see him til weekend after next

Remotew · 25/06/2010 21:48

SCL he may be coming down with a virus and will need paracetomol to bring his temp down but guess you know that already.

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 21:54

I now have a beer!

Lou - get your feet firmly raised this weekend. Is it a bug or have you eaten something disagreeable?

ASBM - you sound chilled . I dare say there'll be a treat for Monty coming along soon . I was actually quite taken aback by it. There's enough there for a holiday (for one lol). . I dp round later this weekend?

Eve - apart from Stallion's over keenness, do you like anything about him? ASBM has a point (as always).

The marital sofa is busy tonight, lots of people missing .

There's a dress in French Connection £££ I'm coveting and I've found a couple on ebay! Am watching them. It's called a Bex dress, gorgeous! I'm going to a wedding in September and have been looking around already. Tried a dress on in Coast (sale) yesterday and I couldn't stop laughing at myself, I just don't suit their dresses! I came out of the dressing room to show my friend and everyone was standing giggling 'cos they heard me laughing . I've put on half stone a bit of weight .

Crossed posts there.

Hi SCL! - is ds prone to migraine?

Lou - at dp working so hard!

OP posts:
Remotew · 25/06/2010 21:58

Monty, link to the bex dress?

You will be able to afford it with your windfall.

Hope everyone starts feeling better soon, at least we can have a lie in in the morning, hopefully.

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 22:06

Eve - I couldn't justify spending it on myself . No, I couldn't but here is the beauty

OP posts:
Monty100 · 25/06/2010 22:07

I'm hoping not to spend that much.
