Yep, it's still going....

Part 15 still lurking about, I believe.

OP posts:

agree with juicy - also (and this is just me I hasten to add) I'm not sure that the pic is a bit at odds with the profile - maybe crop a bit of the bottom - just think that many blokes make assumptions about women with cleavage shots - but I'm quite willing to be shot down on this one!

Also are you really saying you wouldn't consider a bloke who hasn't got kids?

Btw how are you finding match? Keep getting offers from them but not really sure whether it's worth paying out for - I've had two guys wink or mail me off a free profile but can't justify paying out just for them!

ninah · 13/01/2010 10:55

agree with juicy, belle .
it's hard
and juicy at you calling irish after I've sat on my hands all week!
have to say his response is endearing in a way
I have been v tempted to contact ex/nm whatever he is, I am hoping some distance will make things clearer
dating could well be a distraction though I don't think I've a tenth of your energy - studying dating social life - not to mention the dc - respect!

ninah · 13/01/2010 10:59

you know what hatesponge I'd date you! good pic - doesn't say cleavage to me, focus is def on the face - and nice blurb
good luck and hope your next date has better taste/eyesight than the last one

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 13/01/2010 12:15

hatesponge - i'd say the pic is fine too. cleavage is fine.and its obvious its been taken on a night out and your wearing a bustier... if you have big lovely boosoms might as well pic a good photo of em.

ninah - at sitting on hands.

thesouthsbelle · 13/01/2010 12:46

ahem I said MAY go shopping not will go shopping - it depends on A) XH coming down, B) how tired I am C) how much money I ahve and D) if I can be arsed! lol. Offered him in as was being courtious. lol. he's text today.

least the number's still deleted (as are messages and I stated my terms )

besides MRS!!! lol. you're meant to be sticking away from irish!!!

Re boob type shots/low shots on dating sites - I don't go in for those - wrong type of man totally is attracted.

lou33 · 13/01/2010 13:38

i agree with juice too belle, sorry

mechanic took a day off to be with us today

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/01/2010 14:22

grr just in from a snow shovelling sess as it started here again over night
hands blistered and calloused to buggery and in need of a good dollop of cream
did have a quick look at profiles, felt v weird looking at a dating site aft such a long time but was amused to see some familiar munters faces
have to say that i wouldn't and never had put cleavage shots on as there are enough perves out there without giving them further ammo and from what i've been told by my male friends they don't particularly like it either
app it spoils the surprise
both profiles read well but likewise i wouldnt elaborate too much on being a mum.ok we all are but we're also people with our own lives and hopefully other interests too
belle i'm with lou and juice too,he's just buying himself more time and you're allowing him
there's dithering and there's being downright cruel and i'd say he def.falls into the latter category
i know that you won't appreciate me saying this but he has to be the biggest twat ever discussed on this thread and god there have been a fair few of them

sincitylover · 13/01/2010 14:29

sponge and kdk both great profiles - you put alot more effort into them than I ever have with mine.

yes I agree with whoever said I would date you.

In fact sometimes wonder if that's the answer

Well have raised issue of Mr Yorke with my bosses (have three bosses) one (the Italian lol) seemed to think it wasn't really too much of an issue, but the other two took it quite seriously and esp one who said he has prob done this before. We will reinvestigate the installation of a panic alarm as notwithstanding this issue we are very isolated here and our building is open to the public so anyone can wander in off the street.

Dating front - one guy I talked to alot via email and text last year has reemerged on the site after meeting someone which has - he's def still interested and would be a toyboy but he lives a long way away (south coast) and don't think he's looking for anything serious.

He is very nice and def spark - he asked me if I had moved on from him since last year haven't replied yet. TBH its prob not him I haven't moved on from but it just highlights how I'm now not really that keen for even a bit of fun (having done some of that last year).

Waffling on here but maybe I have gone backwards rather than forwards in dating terms after the samename and samename 2 experiences. I certainly don't want to do that serially IYKWIM

Total headf

sincitylover · 13/01/2010 14:30

sorry his relationship from last year has ended and so he is 'back on the prowl'

sincitylover · 13/01/2010 14:34

and the Mr Yorke situation has taken the wind out of my sails a bit too!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/01/2010 14:39

i'm glad that at least two of your bosses have taken it seriously and yes,i can imagine that he has done this before
as for the other one what a prat!let's hope he never has a bunny boiler after him

sincitylover · 13/01/2010 15:00

thanks asbm - yes my exh did have at least two bbs after him when I first started seeing him so it certainly can happen the other way round.

I do feel embarassed though - I sort of feel I am a grown woman and ought to be able to take care of things myself.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/01/2010 15:11

ikwym but there are some things that you need help with
you have already explained to him nicely that you're not interested and he's still pestering you and making you feel uncomfortable
tbh you have been more than reasonable and if you wanted to you could take the matter to the police
a word in his ear from a manager should hopefully put a stop to it,and hopefully will make him realise that he has probs and needs to address them

thesouthsbelle · 13/01/2010 16:21

agree with blondie sin, at least they're taking it serious now. fingers crossed you don't hear any more.

oh also any ideas 80's icons you can think of - SIL's hen do is in a few months (weekend in blazingstoke woohoo!) and that's the theme - help!!

as long as it's not back combed hair i'm in.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/01/2010 16:33

ohh big hair time!
think tina turner and bananarama

thesouthsbelle · 13/01/2010 16:39

oh dear mine's shoulder length unless I get extensions (am pondering)

ninah · 13/01/2010 16:42

debbie harry
siouxsie sioux
bowwowwow
watched adam ant on youtube recently it was gruesome, although also interesting
scl a panic alarm's no bad idea in any case if your workplace is so isolated
I had one when I worked in Kings X after a late night attempted burglary while I was there it was like a pendant round your neck and if you press button goes to local station tbh I was more scared of pressing the button by mistake than anything

ninah · 13/01/2010 16:44

thompson twins
another thing you notice with 80s clips is how 'natural' their teeth are
just give the flossing a miss put on some pink eyeshadow and a pair of legwarmers and you'll be fine

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/01/2010 17:04

you can get a wig for tina turner
oh and ninah's just reminded me..what about fame?
was about to add that i'm actually struggling to think of many female icons from the 80's but then i had a seriously scary thought...maggie thatcher

ninah · 13/01/2010 17:10

gloria estefan
bonnie tyler pmsl
whitney (you can get sloshed)
diana ross with a long shiny dress
grace jones
mary whitehouse (for that understated look)

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/01/2010 17:23

omg i did think of bonnie tyler too actually.or if you're going with a mate why not go as cagney & lacey

ninah · 13/01/2010 17:26

god yes, remember them! that'd be cool actually, you get to take a gun each
and if you were the blonde one you could smoke
paint yourself green and become the green goddess
have you seen ashes to ashes? full of 80s inspiration

ninah · 13/01/2010 17:27

as you can tell I'm still sitting on my hands lol

kdk · 13/01/2010 17:56

@ninah you type extraordinarily well for a woman who is sitting on her hands!

belle - what about Di, she was a bit of an 80s icon wasn't she - pussy bow and that turquoise suit?

Anyone got any suitable responses for a 24-year-old yank who keeps im'ing me despite me repeatedly ignoring him and making it very clear on my profile that I'm uninterested in toyboys? Want a suitably cutting response.

ninah · 13/01/2010 18:22

come back when you're older? .. sonny?
this isn't the heathrow one is it?
