juicy!!! lol. glad you got your watch back thou.

blondie - sounds like the perfect w.e really.

Lou - good luck with your sledging.

yup always his terms eh! and have a feeling this w.e he's had a date with someone else as well. (don't ask me why lol) hurtful yet but ho hum. never mind.

lou33 · 10/01/2010 19:52

we went for sunday lunch then snowballing and sledging before coming back for a nap

its been a lovely day

Janos · 10/01/2010 21:42

Hey everyone.

What is it with ex boyfriends that keep turning up? I have one too, usually with drama and more issues than a library kwim?...

Juice, once again I am impressed by your dynamism and energy. Where do you get it from? I could so with some myself. Now tell me, is it the red bull? Glad you got your watch back anyhow, sounds like you handled it well.

asbm - sounds like a fab weekend. But you didn't quite do nothing did you

lou - hope you had fun sledging and snowballing

OP posts:
lou33 · 10/01/2010 22:10

it was mainly mechanic with dd2 and ds1 who were sledging and snowballing, ds2 got a bit cold in his chair, and dd1 decided it wasnt cool enough

i ended up having to wait in the car with ds2 while the mechanic went to play with the others

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 10/01/2010 22:12

...asbm been up to something naughty???

janos - i'm really glad i stuck to the soft drinks last night. feel fab today. got up and did plenty of studying. got my sis's birthday present..

and.. yes.. the red bull helps ... think its also to do with this new diet though i'm on. i dont get the peaks and dips as i was before. but red bull isn't allowed on it.. i broke rules having it last night.

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 10/01/2010 22:14

lou - sledging sounded fun

Janos · 10/01/2010 22:26

Juice - asbm has an interesting ice sculpture!!! Good for you with studying.

I'm thinking I might go on a diet too as there is some extra poundage post xmas which I'm not thrilled about. Which one are you on and is it any good? I'm pretty crap at diets cos I love my food.

lou - typical teenager eh . However as I'm too old to be cool I thoroughly enjoy sledging. And other non cool activities.

Things still good with mechanic ?

OP posts:
lou33 · 10/01/2010 22:32

ninah · 10/01/2010 22:58

ah shit I'm in a muddle
remember when I had the big chat with ex/nm whatever? well we carried on being in touch
the boundaries are messed as hell, obv there is no future in it but it kind of suited us both to keep a friendship going
only he is expecting it to be same as before, I keep making excuses not to see him promised to ring him back today but didn't speak to him and feeling guilty
need another chat to remind him we are not 'partners'
just couldn't face him today esp in combo with his ds

thesouthsbelle · 11/01/2010 07:55

ninah - which chappy was this?

lou am glad

spent over 2 hours on the phone to gymboy last night. he's asking to see me in the week. he says he wants to be friends, I said I can't and don't want it. he asked me to sleep on it. also said what if I change my mind. I said I don't know. I asked him to sleep on it.

but he deffo doesn't like the fact the sailor is around but says what can he do. also says there's no one else & how can there be for either of us (ie get into a relationship with anyone else). I said i'm at the point of the tide turning. All or nothing. both of us said what we needed to I think. He also said we were BOTH selfish??!??
he didn't want to end the call so I said fine you won't I will goodbye. is adamant he will text me today.

Betty79 · 11/01/2010 08:15

belle-seriously what are YOU being selfish about??? did u ask him? I dont know how you can cope with this man, i wouldnt want to be friends esp after the way he has been, i think he's just trying to keep you hanging and maybe have fwb now and then if he can. Just my opinion sorry

nina-sorry to hear ur having troubles with ex/nm hope you can get something sorted.

Went bowling abd for a drink with mrjack last night, had a good time but was so tired and kinda kicked him out at midnight but he was tired too so understood, he's said he's coming over tues prob to fix my toilet(romance huh) and watch a movie prob. He brought the pof thing up last night and told me he's been reading his messages cos he keeps getting the same ones telling him he has an umbrella sticking out of his head from his pic lol anyway when im with him i dont have reason to doubt him so all seems good so far

thesouthsbelle · 11/01/2010 08:19

lol. who says romance is dead eh betty!

I said to him have I you are being selfish he said we BOTH are being selfish.

I told him under NO circs would I ever do/be a fwb. he said he's done that in the past & isn't what he wants anyhow.

tbh thou now is the time for reflection & for me to go back to ignoring him. I'm not coping & handling it - that's the prob.

he kept chucking it back at me I was friends with X - well yes we have a son together!!! (he said exactly I have no power (within that dynamic) also said we weren't friends over night it took time and hard work. and tbh that's not something I want to do with him - with X I do it for DS's sake.

ninah · 11/01/2010 09:18

no don't go down the being friends route trust me with best intentions it never works

DONTtouchMUMSfestiveJUICE · 11/01/2010 09:26

belle - being friends with an ex rarely works...

look at ninah - ...another example where tried to be friends.. boundaries got crossed and its al muddled.

there's mine & irish obviously aswell.

ninah - you know what you have to do.. no "chat"... you need to stop seeing him for a while, if not completely

belle - one thing to point out is both of these 2 examples are with guys who know exactly what they want when presented with a serious chat over future...and the boundaries are hard to keep.

just imagine how much of a head-fcuck it would be trying to deal with the boundary struggle with someone who cant decide what he wants from one day to the next.

it wouldn't be a great friendship.

i also get impression it would be very selfish. i.e... he wants to be your friend and take up your time when it suits him... but if you were ever to be having any troubles or wanted someone to to something with... he wouldn't be there for you??

so really?? why bother?? just cut him off completely.

Janos · 11/01/2010 10:51

Hi belle, corry to here gymboy still messing you about.

Juicy is pretty much spot on there I think.

My exbf is just like that. He actually admits that he can't make up his mind from one day to the next. In fact he told me, he changes his mind about 20 times a day. And in the meantime while he faffs around 'making his mind up' (for which read: keeping his options open) people (not him_)get hurt.

How exhausting is that. I'm a bit tired just typing it! You will just never get anywhere with a bloke like that.

OP posts:
Janos · 11/01/2010 10:51

corry? I mean sorry!

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 11/01/2010 11:09

yup it's the end of the road now for me with him. ignoring, if he changes his mind then i'll think on this but until then he's outta my hair lol.

lou33 · 11/01/2010 11:37

it sounds like he hasnt really change his viewpoint from before, just kept quiet about it until now

i dont think i have anything new to report

ooh but did i tell you i met his best and most longstanding friend, and his partner and baby?

ninah · 11/01/2010 16:22

dd had stomach ache this morning and has been asleep all day. Slight temp, needless to say I omitted to panic buy Calpol.
roads look OK now at least
hoep she picks up though this is the worst thing about lone p I find

lou33 · 11/01/2010 16:24

they reckon the school will be open tomorrow but i for one am not driving on this as well as negotiating a hill beforehand

ninah · 11/01/2010 16:27

Looks like ours lou
most of the snow has gone from the lanes but there are some nasty pockets and it was impassable this morning
so I am worried if I do set out this eve and it freezes it will be a horrible journey even now
am not good on ice

kdk · 11/01/2010 17:15

Hi all

how you all doing? Lou, your road looks worse than mine - mind you, I managed today because I had to.

Just had the horror of a message from my xh who's added me as a friend on FB. May have to delete my account - really don't want him seeing any comments from anyone and don't really think of him as a friend. I accept having to speak to him re kids etc but that's it.

And no f*cking word from birdman - really feel like messaging him, asking what he's playing at - why say a drink would be good and then go into radio silence again??

F*cking men.

Janos · 11/01/2010 17:33

kdk, you can block someone on FB - I've had cause to. Then they can't contact you or see any of your details either (no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong).

Lou - (at mechanic and meeting not the snow which is a right PITA now). And your pic - that's what it looks like round mine now! Don't blame you not wanting to drive in it or on it frankly.

OP posts:
lou33 · 11/01/2010 17:38

that pic is the road to the school ffs, plus a hill like i said, and i just got stuck half way in and out of my drive on snow and ice, ending up getting a random bloke and dd1 to push me to give me some extra welly, so there is no way i am doing a school run, they can whinge all they like about it
