It's all so confusing. He goes home for 2 days and text's me in the evening, then we chat on MSN so it's not like he's gone. I don't think this 'friend' thing is working for me, I know way too much about him and we have too much in common, I can't see him as a 'friend' but this was how he say's he see's me. I wouldn't tell my friends all about me or talk alot of smut with them. The crazy ex and her family have caused so much damamge!

thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 20:43

I used to do that with XP lou, it's dead sweet, was sort of a i'm thinking about you but don't have time to write a full text but want you to know I love you type thing'

fluffy - if you don't think you can be friends with him then take a step back from it all. it's good thou that he stays in touch when he's away.

lou33 · 16/10/2009 20:52

ooh i think its a bit soon to use the L word with me and lb lol

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 21:06

lol. well thinking of each other then.

have u gals heard this song?

you ain't shit it's great real feel good factor to it lol.

witcheseve · 16/10/2009 21:10

I got a text with just a X a couple of nights ago, I took it to mean fancy a s--g, so I ignored it, perhaps it meant something else.

Think I should leave all you loved up couples alone with my cynical views atm

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsShite · 16/10/2009 21:23

I don't know. I really like him but if he wants something different from me (a friend) then it's going to get messy. I wouldn't want to meet someone else and hurt him, I wouldn't want him to do this to me either, especially as we are so close.

lou33 · 16/10/2009 21:36

eve, i was just about to post that lb was probably meaning that , lol

thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 21:38

well ime this is how GBF & I started out, started as v v close friends who knew nothing would happen - but we did the smut etc etc the harmless banter and fun met up etc etc. Over time we both said how we felt but the other was always not in the right place at the same time iycwim, finally when we were I decided I didn't want to wreck such a good friendship. and now it's def too late.

what i'm saying is good friends can do the smut, but likewise good friends can become more, if I had my time again with GBF i'd jump in there feet first and get my heart broken without a doubt. just make sure that you do what you want to do for you.

(had another call and 2 more texts from gymboy - latest one asked if I was getting his texts as he thought his phone was playing up - I did reply to this one and say yes I am, your friend is prob in customs still - (he's visiting from holland)) we're back to one x only now.

sincitylover · 16/10/2009 21:39

omg all this angst about men - it does my head in!!

And I have done my fair share of it.

Well have just rung samename and said I assume its off tomorrow as he isn't returning my calls. In my mind that means its off full stop.

It's not that I am particularly gutted about it if it is but don't like the bad manners aspect.

I have always been quite lukewarm about him tbh as you all know.

re kisses on texts - I send a x to some men and friends I know well.

Have sent xxxx txts to exbf. But we completely understand each others texts eg I send him a txt saying stop? and he knows exactly what it means.

Eve - Iam also completely cynical IYKWIM

lou33 · 16/10/2009 21:39

you should have replied to him saying

"sorry who is this?"

he would think you had got rid of his number then and get the hint

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 21:40

oh dear sin - why do men do that? why do they just ignore totally 100% - could it be he's a bit busy/phone in the car/forgetful etc?

thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 21:42

lou that's mean lol, i'm not definite yet what I want to do. no reply as of yet - would it be too skeptical of me to think he was only after a reaction from me to see if i'm interested still, althou to be fair could just be that his mate has finally come out of the plane bit thingy (don't know what it's like there) and they've met up - the flight was due in at 8.

sincitylover · 16/10/2009 21:44

or having a self indulgent crisis about his tiny life. Come on we all have problems and the mark of any relationship is that you can tell each other.

I am wagering (?) that I will be watching xfactor tomorrow nite with a nice glass of wine and takeaway.

thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 21:53

well sin if you are i'll be joining you - work nights are Sundays not Saturdays when I can laugh I mean watch x factor.

not had a response yet. oh well ho hum. back to ignoring him then!

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsShite · 16/10/2009 22:10

I'm chatting to mine on FB, he likes my sense of humour so he says

witcheseve · 16/10/2009 22:31

X factor for me tomorrow night. Joe to win.

thesouthsbelle · 16/10/2009 22:34

na danyl or stacy I think - go stace vote for the single mums out there.

had a reply..... 'he's with me now, just getting food.X.' and on that note keanu reeves is calling me in my bed

witcheseve · 16/10/2009 22:36

We will see who wins Belle. Chatting to TD on fb but the language barrier is a pain.

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsShite · 16/10/2009 22:47

I think mine's dozed off again.

Hope you are all well

aseriouslyblondemoment · 16/10/2009 22:55

evening all
just checking in before bed
child free w/e for me nothing planned as such weather permitting..bf working sadly
lou woo hoo you enjoy!!
scl not sounding great here with samename and agree it's totally rude and unacceptable, personally i'd say that you've made other plans if he gets in touch the x factor, vino and a takeaway is far better than a dithering bloke
and my fav is jamie, think stacy is talented but sooo bloody annoying
and don't even get me started on her playing the lone mum card grrr...

witcheseve · 16/10/2009 23:00

evening asbm.

I asked TD if he's looked at my home town on the internet he said, 'yes looks good city' lol

lou33 · 16/10/2009 23:04

has he said any more about visiting?

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 16/10/2009 23:14

eve omg this has made me chuckle...do you think he will?
btw did you tell pof bloke to go do one or did it just fizzle out?
lou whose your choice for x factor..am imagining you're rooting for jamie like me..?
and danyl..eughh..he creeps me out

witcheseve · 16/10/2009 23:25

lol no, no mention of visiting. tbh got warmer climbs on my mind. However the thought of walking down the southern tip of Africa with all its romantic notions with my platonic friend is filling me with dread. Wish DD was coming.

I can always make eyes at the waiters. .
