he may well just have been checking mail or hiding a profile or something, talk to him before you dump him

Monty, she has just gone into yr 11 not 12, but she is great. Got invited to hmmm Awards Evening next week, first time.

How's the family?

Monty100 · 11/09/2009 22:03

Quite cross. lol

Anyways, how are you?

Monty100 · 11/09/2009 22:08

Oops sorry, now that did cross. Er I realise now, it was early GCSE's wasn't it. Was she ok? My dd got all of hers 2 stars 4 As and the rest were b's (all her mates got 8stars and all that but I'm proud - single working parent and all that). She's changed schools as I had her in a convent cackle and she's now in a mixed boys sixth form lol. Thinks she deserves it [grin}. She's a good girl. Now as for the 13 year old ds and his skateboard...........

Yeah we're all fine, very tired though.

Have you come off internet dating or are you lurking?

lou33 · 11/09/2009 22:12

i am having a quiet evening in eating bacon sandwiches and drinking wine

OP posts:
Monty100 · 11/09/2009 22:13

Lou sounds good to me.

I'm having some indian in a minute.

notevenamousie · 11/09/2009 22:18

Oh dear. Hope all are feeling ok after that esp those we have come to know and love (and even respectfully disagree with)
When I am wittering tomorrow remind me that tonight, I am looking forward to meeting the trekker, only a brief chat but it's feeling ok. Anyone likely to be around 5ish for the what do I weeeaaaaarrrrrr moment?!?!
I have so so much positivity from here incuding from people I don't always agree with about everything I do really hope this is not going to change....

Monty100 · 11/09/2009 22:21

Hi Mousie, what time's the date, where are you going and what's the weather doing?

lou33 · 11/09/2009 22:23

i should probably be about

OP posts:
Remotew · 11/09/2009 22:24

I've got a date lined up next week with a guy a year older than myself. Trying to find someone that I wouldn't meet going to the local pubs/clubs IYSWIM.

Good on your eldest. What now for your DD and sorry I missed who you were dating. It's gone a bit weired on this thread tonight. Still trust Lou to stir up some drama

lou33 · 11/09/2009 22:28

Remotew · 11/09/2009 22:32

Mousie, wear what you feel comfortable in. I might be around. Going to a school reunion tomorrow night, might be interesting.

Monty100 · 11/09/2009 22:34

AE DD is now doing 4 A levels at this mixed sixth form.

When I was on here almost at the outset of the first thread my long term partner and I had broken up, then we started seeing each other again, its not perfect but.......

Glad you have a date.

lou33 · 11/09/2009 22:37

just wear something not too ott that you have worn before and you feel good in

OP posts:
notevenamousie · 11/09/2009 22:46

Not been properly out in months. A nice but quietish couple of bars. Options are suede boots, cord skirt, and top, or black trousers and more revealing black top and shoes I can't walk that far in. Give in for tonight though - bath and bed for me I think!

Monty100 · 11/09/2009 22:54

Suede boots - yum! I got some last year and I love them so much I don't wear them lol!

notevenamousie · 11/09/2009 22:56

My mum bought them for me in 2000 and they're still the loveliest shoes I've ever owned!

lou33 · 11/09/2009 23:08

dont go for the uncomfortable option

if you are not used to walking in heels then go for what you are used to

OP posts:
Monty100 · 11/09/2009 23:12

Mousie I love mine too, I'm deffo going to wear them a lot this year but not when it rains . Hope to have mine for that length of time too.

I'm with Lou though, you have to feel comfortable, don't wear the heels if there's any walking around involved.

Wear bright and cheerful too.

lou33 · 11/09/2009 23:37

i wear heels more often than not, so am pretty used to them, but i certainly wouldnt put style over comfort

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 12/09/2009 08:03

there's heels..... and killer heels.

and if you cant do killer heels there's no shame in admitting and putting them away

i say go for the suede boots.

skirt you mentionned... or could you wear them with some jeans... and either dress up or down the top???... that would be super comfy.

fwiw - i have plenty of killer heels that friends have admitted they could walk more than 5 paces in...... but... stilletto's i simply cant do.... the heels for me have to be platform, square or tapered. or as soon as a drink passes my lips when i have stilletto's i'm prone to an injury.

monty glad to hear things are still good with you (name-change here)

eve - older than you? thats good not another toyboy who's going to use the milf line ... where you meeting?

thesouthsbelle · 12/09/2009 08:06

ooh mousie good luck on your date.

monty - hello!! glad all seems to be working with you.

the heels from, i'm a boots girl i'm afraid, all the way. too short for anything else. lol.

anyhow, glad the peace has been restored here!

it's also restored on the gymboy front as well have decided not to talk to him we spoke for ages thou which is all good, (as you say juicy circles & me sabbotaging so not gonna be mentioning it again unless he shows a lack of interest/reason to think otherwise) he might be over tonight, depending on the time he comes back from this course/shopping (shops more than a woman that one!) if not deffo on for tomorrow. so happy chappy.(does get me a bit annoyed thou when he seems to think my footie opinions are not as valid as his - but i'm sure we'll soon sort that out - esp as his reasons are worse than mine - I don't like team names and he doesn't like team managers , least it's all said/done in jest.)

oh and DS has a birthday party today - least this one's sort play and not a magic man again - seriously magic men - how and why are they so happy!??! then again i'm happy today - he's only just got up - woohoo!

thesouthsbelle · 12/09/2009 08:08

i'd also so do jeans then again my legs see the light of day for NO ONE!! milk bottles have more colour lol.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 12/09/2009 08:31

belle - glad you have this thing a bit more sorted in your head.

can i suggest you ban yourself from checking everyday to see if he's gone online. its not healthy. i'm prone to it myself. but have to give my self a ticking off and not do it.

thesouthsbelle · 12/09/2009 08:39

lol. yes - to be fair thou only only check as it comes up on my email feeds from match which I still get (read and ignore) but won't check anymore. but as I say we had a laugh talkin for about 45 minutes about random crap - that's the sort of thing I miss about being with some, that and cuddles, but hate the shite that goes with a relationship (read that as having to be socaible and talk to them when u really can't be arsed!) but I guess that's true of most people right - while it's good we like it when it's not we don't?

ninah · 12/09/2009 10:37

hiya monty
lol at eve, every time you decide to give up on dates you end up being asked out
south glad you are feeling better
As for me, I'm coming even more to realise that the 'bf' isn't a keeper (it's not him, it's me ... [hmmm]) - new job, more confidence, all that
on the other hand I am not eager to replace him, maybe I'll take eve's place and come on here for clothes and gen goss (and to hear inspiring stories from the trenches)
cos the thread keeps on keepin on
