Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Remotew · 25/06/2009 22:14

RJ, that's good. I was and still am the same especially with a couple of glasses of wine.

After I posted I started wondering if I would have done online 20 odd years ago. I was childfree then so probably not but I did go out often and met lot's of men after a few drink whom I would have got along much better with looking around a shopping centre. lol. Had I had children young then I would have looked online. No such thing as PC's in those days.

I understand about feeling restrictive in a relationship, I have always felt this way.

You carry on as I'm sure with your open mind you will meet your next long term man.

ninah · 25/06/2009 22:16

you're fab rj! wish I had your mojo

lou33 · 25/06/2009 22:21

i have t admit i dont even get nervous when i meet someone for the first time, let alone expect anything

i think the worst that can happen is i spend an hour or so with someone i know i am not going to be seeing again, and it got me out for a bit

i realise this is probably unusual, and that most may feel a slight twinge of nerves at some point, but i just dont

if htey dont like me they dont and vice versa, there isnt anything i can do about that, i can only be who i am

Remotew · 25/06/2009 22:26

Lou and RJ, wish I could be the same, just cannot. The nerves get to me. Don't like feeling rejected and hate to reject people even more. That's why I have only met one man in the flesh after being on POF for 18 months!

I'm hopeless but then I lost my mojo after that meeting.

lou33 · 25/06/2009 22:53

i think i see rejection as a quick way of finding out it isnt gonna happen, so i dont feel rejected, more relieved iyswim

i dont know if that makes sense, but i know what i am trying to say

its all a learning curve anyway, even if things dont pan out, there is always something to take from it, which will benefit you for next time

DeeLerious · 26/06/2009 00:50

Hi! Been out to a gig with DD1 tonight. Cost £30 a ticket & we were talking about 02 tickets for Michael Jackson being £300 + for the crappiest seats & come home to the news he died tonight, Poor MJ. Not my favorite artiste but a huge blow for the music industry.
Having been with 1 man for 28 years, to suddenly be single again is a great shock & dating a VERY scary thought (scary is the right word) still getting through the lost future, still love him despite his bastardousness parts to be honest. Having said that, I can see the fun in pof & the like, too, & hope I can carry forward the attitude of rj & lou if I ever start dating again. In reality I reckon I'd be hopeless at doing the rejecting as well as the other way round.

lou33 · 26/06/2009 10:00

dee if it helps, i was with my exh for 17.5 yrs, and i managed it

lostinthecitylover · 26/06/2009 11:46

yes also with exh for 15 years Dee, what is the position with your exh?

Have been to see counsellor this morning - not sure if it's doing any good and she was nearly falling asleep!! I know I am boring but wtf?

She doesn't seem to understand how hard it is dealing with exh (who I think has Aspergers)and is possibly frustrated by my lack of progress in dealing with him.

Also seems as though AF has now arrived (phew)- had also been and bought pg test this morning (typical- waste of money). So no little samenames in the pipeline!! LOL

Still unsure why it was 5 days late - did seem to have a 'double ovulation' last month which might explain it.

LouLovesAeroplaneJelly · 26/06/2009 16:37

Afternoon

I have to agree with the synchornisation of the cycles. I too can now join this threads AF club.

I get nervous when I meet someone. Nervous to the point of being ill and i've been on two dates with POF people.

Well the news for the day is that the pilot..lets call him Stelios.... said that I should let him know what flight I am on and he will try and be the pilot on it...pity there are no upgrades on Easyjet.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/06/2009 17:44
