thrilled to be kicking off part 6 on a sinful note lol

Blaming the vino for texting samename1 and asking him out - he text right back suggesting early this afternoon but don't think I can make it as am waiting for my brother who is coming down to help me swap washing machines and is always late bless him!

Then had a rather raunchy chat with young guy who have been in touch with for ages - trying to think of a nickname for him - very good looking - lives in your neck of the woods Lou. Think we might meet up soon.

At least resisted the urge to text exbf.

lou33 · 28/03/2009 20:30

all men can wait right now,i am babysitting the most adorable little girl (10 weeks old)

and the smiles and cooing i am getting from her quite frankly are much more worthwhile

I have just been on the soulmates website recommended by chasingsquirrels, and I must say there does seem to be quite a nice variety of talent to chose from. Most of them seem to be articulate, intelligent and don't use text speak, and none of them so far have put down that they read the Sun!

The down side is that it is quite expensive for membership.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 21:26

inthemist are you an upmarket kind of girl tho?
are they all London/home counties based?
have to say i'm intrigued now lol
how are you feeling about tomorrow?

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2009 21:51

well it is GUARDIAN soulmates - they are hardly likely to admit to reading the Sun.
Agree on expensive, there is someone who keeps catching my eye - maybe I should pay for a month and message him.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 22:01

how much is it per month?

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2009 22:10

here
fark - £25 for 1 month, didn't remember it was that mmuch.

Janos · 28/03/2009 22:18

I think you can get trial 3 days memberships to soulmates which cost £7.

IIRC (I may be wrong)

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 22:25

ooh frd is £18 for a pile of bald, short arsed munters atm.
i would say that it's money well spent if you're likely to meet someone decent as opposed to spending it on one of the other paying sites

Remotew · 29/03/2009 02:27

Just having a quick catch up, yes I know its late but just had the crappiest night out ever with my sis who has been married for ever and the phrase 'go with the flow' is not on her radar. love her to bits though.

Lou, I knew it, he's a bit of alright so don't blame you. I would. A little baby to look after how lovely.

Yep I think I might dip my toe into Guardian Soulmates. It's worked for my mates. Top totty on there just not sure I'm worthy!!

RJ how is the Cairo plans going? Sounds like it's worth going for.

ridingjoker · 29/03/2009 09:39

eve - lol at crappiest night out ever. my plans are going well. got a few weeks to get myself sorted and round up an ever increasing list of thing i've to take over for superman.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 29/03/2009 12:04

Eve
wonder how inthemist is getting on?

lou33 · 29/03/2009 12:15

knew what eve?

we arent going to be a couple, its the same as it has ever been, i dont want to be his gf, and despite the fact i havent asked him, i am pretty sure i know him well enough to say he wouldnt want me to be

inthemistsoftime · 29/03/2009 16:08

afternoon ladies, well I did it in 1 hour exactly, which is what I was aiming for. Yeah

It was at Leeds Castle which is quite hilly, so I was doubly impressed that I came in on the hour, I am hoping that this means that on the flat I'll do better.

Am really, really , chuffed and am considering giving up subscriptions to dating sites and joining a running club instead!

Remotew · 29/03/2009 16:24

Well done. Running club sounds like a good idea.

Oh I don't know Lou its sounds complex. If you get on well as friends and are obviously attacted to each other shame it doesn't work on a relationship level. Guess people are complicated especially those of the opposite sex.

Think I'm resign to celebacy for now.

inthemistsoftime · 29/03/2009 16:28

yes lou, what abouteve says.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 29/03/2009 16:50

yay well done inthemist
you better tell marathonman now!
have just been chatting to a fella on frd
and am going against my usual type here
he's asked me out but i'm still a bit
about the whole thing tbh
i dont know if my going against my usual type can work?!

lou33 · 29/03/2009 16:56

there are aspects of our relationship which work v well but he also has traits i dont want to be dealing with on a bf/gf level as it would become too wearing

also being in a relationship with him would mean we would be obliged to see each other more than we do, and i dont know if i could cope with that

and if it went wrong we wouldnt be friends as we are now, and thats the most important thing to me

i am ok with the way it is in all honesty, and we dont tend to do what we did that often, last time was around nye, so not a regular occurrence (sp?)

ridingjoker · 29/03/2009 18:27

twice in 3 months. thats more than some married couples

Janos · 29/03/2009 18:35

Oh newborns are lovely aren't they.

Janos · 29/03/2009 18:37

When you can hand them back to somebody else of course....

inthemistsoftime · 29/03/2009 19:07

asbm, what is different about this one?

how long have you been chatting to him?

surely you have a feel for whether you like him or not?

go on dip your toe!

Janos · 29/03/2009 19:17

Oh I missed that ASBM. What is FRD bloke like?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 29/03/2009 20:20

hmm inthemist
he seems very pleasant indeed but i'm just not too sure
he's not my usual type of fella tbh
we chatted for a few hours this aft.
i can't quite put my finger on it
but for nickname's sake will call him tintin
