thrilled to be kicking off part 6 on a sinful note lol

Blaming the vino for texting samename1 and asking him out - he text right back suggesting early this afternoon but don't think I can make it as am waiting for my brother who is coming down to help me swap washing machines and is always late bless him!

Then had a rather raunchy chat with young guy who have been in touch with for ages - trying to think of a nickname for him - very good looking - lives in your neck of the woods Lou. Think we might meet up soon.

At least resisted the urge to text exbf.

I signed up on the guardian one in order to browse - in the very early days after he left.

Put a profile on POF a few weeks ago, no pic on there yet. Had quite a few e-mail but not actually replied to any (slightly freaked at it all).

The thought of dating scares me silly, I haven't dated since I was about 16. Didn't date ex, got to know his as a friend and then just fell into bed with him.

Remotew · 28/03/2009 00:35

Who cares what dating site CS is on what I want to know is which home dyeing kit covers the grey hair? lol

Seriously I don't have many grey's but everytime I dye it DD says 'mum it doesn't do what it says on the tin'

Remotew · 28/03/2009 00:37

Guardian is upmarket. I would go on there but I'm a bit of a girl, intelligent but not outdoorsy. Two friends of mine have met partners from Guardians.

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2009 00:37

not sure, I have only done it twice. The first one was fantastic (though KILLED the condition for a few days - was ok after that). The next one wasn't so good, still had some grey after.

Unfortunately can't remember the name of the first...

Remotew · 28/03/2009 00:39

Now I'm getting depressed about my once lovely hair.

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2009 00:41

after I dyed mine the first time I kept looking at it and thinking "it looks like my hair again". In complete denial about the fact that my hair no longer naturally looks like this!
Just looked at my profile pic - which was 3yrs ago when ds2 was born, and hardly any grey there.
God I have aged since then.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 00:42

lol at Eve
i was trying to be diplomatic here and not mention covering grey hair
and hey foxy lady seen your pic you're hardly a wrinkly so stop that talk now lol
CS what was the guardian site like?
and yes we're all hopeless on here too so don't worry
and we've now got the frigging internet and mobiles to contend with as well

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2009 00:44

nothing like as busy as pof, couple of profiles I could be interested in - but didn't bother paying to message.

Remotew · 28/03/2009 00:46

Oh I've just looked, didn't realise you had pics on your profile. I love to see the ones with the little babies. So lovely.

I'm probably the oldest on this thread but they all look after me. [passing the simmerframe]

Going out for a 'girls night' tomorrow as my DD is away and I don't get much free time so have to make the most of it. Will keep you posted.

Need to sleep now. x

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 00:46

so are they all very outdoorsy and horsey?
not arty and rock n roll like me i guess?

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2009 00:49

no one struck me as outdoors and horsey - mind boggling a little at that description, just a variety of people.
I would have been avoiding the arty and rock'n'roll ones though .
Bed sounds a good idea - I was planning an early night...

Remotew · 28/03/2009 00:50

ASBM before I retire I would like to say that I think Guardian Soulmates might be just up your street as you are an upmarket girl. As I say 2 of my mates have had success on there. I'm just middle market. lol

That means looking for a middle class idiot like myself.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 10:59

lol
an upmarket girl?
and yes i do like arty types and rockers tho don't obv.care for the drugs anymore!
remember i am a mother now

lou33 · 28/03/2009 16:23

i ended up going to see my best friend last night

we erm kind of blurred the boundaries a bit

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 16:31
Grin
lou33 · 28/03/2009 17:47

it wasnt planned, i hadnt even shaved my legs!

sincitylover · 28/03/2009 17:48

Evening all.

Anyone got any dates tonight?

Looka like Tigger has blown me out!! Up till 11.30 last nite it was all on.

And I turned down samename1 to meet him!!

Good news in that I have not contacted exbf and things as they were are history.

Lou how do you feel abt blurring the boundaries?

OP posts:
ridingjoker · 28/03/2009 17:53

oh the unplanned nights are the best.lol
scl - how do you know your blown out?? has he cancelled. or have you just not heard from him?

sincitylover · 28/03/2009 17:56

have texted him once today but haven't heard back. We had only agreed a rough time to meet.

OP posts:
lou33 · 28/03/2009 18:03

oh we have done it before but not for a while (thinks it was nye time)

i have no problem with it wrt him, he is the one who gets all guilt ridden

but he was the one who made moves last night

he was here earlier hanging out with me and the kids and he seemed ok this time though

lou33 · 28/03/2009 18:08

i wonder if it was because i turned up in a dress having made a small effort to scrub up, because we were meant to be going to a bar

ended up just staying in having a drink and a chat, and it kind of continued from there

anyway i was wanting to wear the dress because i got it earlier in the day in a sale for 7 quid, and it looks much more expensive
, so i was pleased for a reason to wear it

inthemistsoftime · 28/03/2009 18:10

evening all, no date for me tonight will be watching rubbish tv and going to be early, oh what an exciting life I lead!

ohh lou, where does it goes from here?

scl, oh dear He has contracted the disease (missing finger syndrome) so unfair as you had blown the other one out, what are you going to do?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/03/2009 18:10

Evening all!
scl what a bloody nuisance!
could you be very cheeky and text samename1 and see if he's still free afterall?
men do that kind of thing all the time
i once had a fella ring me and ask me out for lunch as he'd been stood up lol.
oh i pmsl!

sincitylover · 28/03/2009 18:20

I could do that and told samename1 if my plans changed then I would contact him. But not sure if I be bothered to go out now.

He could come round but that would give the wrong message esp as he told me he is never naughty on the first date. And nor am I I told him!!!!

Well actually that's true as I would see a date and fb type thing as two different things.

Also I have to collect DS1 at 8am (old time) tomorrow morning from his dads.

OP posts:
lou33 · 28/03/2009 18:22

inthemist, nothing will change i hope, he knows i dont want him as my boyf, and nor does he me, because it would risk our friendship
