Blaming the vino for texting samename1 and asking him out - he text right back suggesting early this afternoon but don't think I can make it as am waiting for my brother who is coming down to help me swap washing machines and is always late bless him!

Then had a rather raunchy chat with young guy who have been in touch with for ages - trying to think of a nickname for him - very good looking - lives in your neck of the woods Lou. Think we might meet up soon.

At least resisted the urge to text exbf.

Hi, I am new to this thread so hope its ok to join in.

I was 'persuaded' (bullied!!) by my mates to join POF last year. I was contacted by a few fellas on there but to be honest they seemed to be either weird or only after one thing but then I recieved a message from a fella who seemed very nice although he was a bit older than me. We chatted on msn for 3 or 4 weeks, then decided to meet up for a drink. Looks wise he wasnt particularly my type but his personality more than made up for it and to cut a long story short we are still seeing each other 8 months later!!!

So internet dating can work, it just might take time to weedle out the good ones from the bad.

asbm, I am 44 so not exactly a spring chicken and I managed to find a lovely man so there is hope for everyone!!
