Hi all, am still mourning the death of my pof account but have a spring in my step nonetheless!

am still mulling over the note through the letterbox for neighbourman, but still need to summon the courage. Am thinking of my next move, may possibly go totally wild and sign up on frd as a paid member. Won't do it until next week though, I have much marking to do.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 17/03/2009 17:45

doll, you could put a note on his car

Remotew · 17/03/2009 19:02

My friend put a note on this guys car once, thinking she was being all mysterious, well she was. He didn't know who it was from and turned up for dinner at the wrong neighbours. If you do make sure you put your house name/number on it.

dollparts · 17/03/2009 19:09

I bet if I did that he would come out of the house just as I lifted the windscree wiper! Then I would be well and truly busted

dollparts · 17/03/2009 19:11

and what would I put on this note? I'm such a simpleton I know, if only you girls were my neighbours too!

Remotew · 17/03/2009 19:14

Is he on the same dating site as you? If so can you not just send a light hearted message saying it's a small world. Then suggest you swap notes or something if he replies.

I've had people message me who I know.

lou33 · 17/03/2009 19:17

what eve said

something like

"hi,

i noticed you use the same dating site as myself, and wondered if you would like to meet up for a drink one day soon

bit cheeky of me i know but consider it being neighbourly if nothing else!"

then sign with your name and house number

newlysinglemummy · 17/03/2009 19:35

Hiya how have you all been? what is the lasest news? I have not been online for a while...

Ok so the guy I went out with not last sat but the sat before was texting me when I got home that night, then I text him on monday and he replied (with not much conversation). So I didn't reply after a couple of texts and I have not heard from him from then.

Oh well I'm not too bothered as was not crazy about him, I just thought he was a nice guy. But he was very shy so thats why I text him on the monday as thought he might need some encouragement, but obv not interested in me.

Remotew · 17/03/2009 19:43

I'm giving up on men for a little while. Will keep checking this thread though, but I reckon it's about time we heard a success story. Come on girls, give me hope.

spicemonster · 17/03/2009 19:51

Hello. It's me again. SBM - sorry I am being dense and had such a shit day at work yesterday I was too depressed to look at this thread and now I can't find the bit where you gave your email address re checking out the FRD blokes. And I don't understand how you do that? I would like you to do it but I want to know how you do! I was always one of those children who wanted to look over the screens at puppet shows ...

lou33 · 17/03/2009 20:30
