ok girls, I am back with you single and yummy!

Holly23 · 17/03/2009 20:56

Evening,
Doll - Lou's suggestion is good, go for that.
SCL - sorry you're feeling jaded but perhaps a break is a good idea. Its like shopping for clothes isn't it? when you have a bit of money to spend and want to find a nice outfit but the shops don't have anything that appeals or its just the remaining tat left in the sales!

any lucky ladies near Manchester - take a look on frd at Gongis - suppose it could be worse - he could have gone for a combover.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 17/03/2009 22:03

oh dear!
he's like the lion from the wizard of oz lol
have you seen Insane_1 kdk?

OP posts:
kdk · 17/03/2009 22:07

I did indeed - mind you the photo was enough and didn't bother looking at his profile - wasn't sure I'd be able to stop myself sending him an adoring message - NOT.

What gets me is that so often guys like them describe themselves as attractive/above average - what's that all about then? Do they honestly think that or do they think we won't notice or that women on singles sites are so desperate that we won't care?

Answers on a postcard ...

aseriouslyblondemoment · 17/03/2009 22:24

oh god knows!
even tho the fecker thing is blocked it automatically shows him every time i do a whos online search
jeeze id rather be celibate for the rest of my life than touch him, ewww, would be sick in his mouth
what do you think of FRD btw?

inthemistsoftime · 18/03/2009 07:33

a question, would it put you off a man if he said that he reads The Sun newspaper?

Sorry to say it has me!

Am I being unreasonable?

Holly23 · 18/03/2009 08:39

Inthemist - tbh someone who says they read the Sun newspaper does put me off!

inthemistsoftime · 18/03/2009 09:27

ok I feel better about that then Holly, I can immediately strike them of m list then!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/03/2009 09:35

hey the said fella could be saving the holiday vouchers in there or something!
but yes,i wouldn't be desp.impressed tho it depends on the rest of the profile really,he could just have written it for a laugh

lou33 · 18/03/2009 09:41

some bloke on pof sent me a message last night asking if we could chat

when i replied (tongue in cheek) that i would give him a chance he told me i was "stuk up"

i cried all night pmsl

Holly23 · 18/03/2009 09:46

Lou similar to the Lovingboy on pof, although I probably did have a bit of a dig at him
I get frustrated with guys that behave like this because they obviously can't handle intelligent women!
Tell him it sounds like he needs a dose of toilet duck, that'll confuse him lol!

lou33 · 18/03/2009 10:15

oh i dont care enough to message him

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/03/2009 12:33

scl I know exactly how you feel with the texting, am just the same
have one in my draft messages dumping nm (again) next thing I am sending nice ones, is v confusing
horrible weekend, with all his family probs, I was meant to go over Sat night but put it off, and eventually met up for walk on Sun and on Sun night I was rather frank on phone. From my point of view it's too early on to involve someone in all this heavy stuff but from his I'm not being supportive, He thinks I should've been all lovey dovey whereas I was simply too upset and annoyed by the way he is dealing with stuff - I've told him several times I don't feel it's my place to offer an opinion but we end up discussing and I advise as best as I can which he then igonores. I think it's put both of us off tbh but will see him tonight one to one which should help me decide. It's funny how it takes a few months before the real side of someone shows.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/03/2009 13:54

aww.ninah sorry to hear all of this it's the last thing that you need when you have your own day to day stuff to deal with as well
hope you manage to make some decision about him even if it isn't a nice one

OP posts:
ninah · 18/03/2009 14:01

I'm sure I'll feel a bit less grumpy tomorrow if not it's not worth the hassle. May require your referral services in that case! don't mind oldies, not pensionable though, and nothing too gross
Tho you have been quiet on your own fit interesting available selection asbm are you holding back?!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/03/2009 14:09

have been too busy sorting out fellas for this lot ninah tbh
i haven't much of a selection atm as pretty much knocked the cyber men thing on the head
indieman is the only one atm but he's working abroad til later this month so we'll see with him, just messaging so far
have had a couple of scary mo's on FRD lately tho and they both asked me outit puts you off looking tbh

OP posts:
ninah · 18/03/2009 14:14

yes I can see you've been busy for everyone else! OK so wait for indieman, good
As for frd, nice to be wanted, I suppose ... do you think really ugly blokes actually know they are ugly?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/03/2009 14:20

i don't know tbh
looks are very important of course but it's only part of it isn't it really?
they must have some indication by the level of responses that they get off there i would have thought

OP posts:
ninah · 18/03/2009 14:27

I suppose, I definitely go for pleasant looks not male model types but, you know, pleasant
the munters must struggle for responses, maybe that's why they are so er proactive
Would never in a zillion years have picked nm out, he is definitely one of the plainest men I have dated. Perhaps next time I should reverse my strategy and go for munters lol (not that I am model material myself, just normal - tall slim, bit wrinkly, own teeth hair etc)
gotta wash up lunch stuff, sunshine is making me slatternly
