Umm let's see. Was a member of match for while ages ago. Met a bloke I went out with for nearly a year on there but he scarpered when I had the 'I want kids' conversation (to be fair, he was right - I was a bit desperate at 38 to get going ). I joined soulmates last year (but free version only) but although some people have said they are 'fans' have only received messages from people who clearly are doing a mass mailing. So fair to middling! I haven't contacted anyone though so I really need to pull my finger out I guess

Yes, have two friends who met their partners on dating sites. One on soulmates, hence my going on there. Can't remember where the other one met hers.

i guess that it really depends on how you view things
i find that internet dating has to be taken with the biggest pinch of salt
but saying that the same applies to going out in RL really and meeting men
they could and do tell you anything tho alot of people view online dating as dodgy

news - I still have a job. I got that sorted. It's not exactly what I wanted but it secures my income and I enjoy the work that I do.

I managed to get a meet up sorted out - which is progress and good. I am sure that many intresting answers should show.

Other than that, I can't think of much to add.

The work issue is a "weight off". Well imagined!

What makes you think the lady is lucky? We haven't met so the real life experience "test" still has to be passed. She isn't on POF and if she is on there, I remain unaware of her profile name. I don't use POF much anymore. The lady and I should be meeting up with in the next month - all being well. I am usually very busy and struggle to keep time to meet people. However this is a good opportunity and I shouldn't over look meeting new people. At worsted, I should gather a new friend.
