inthemistsoftime · 11/02/2009 22:14

well I was thinking of doing a lamb tagine, slow cooked for hours and very little faffing and more time for chatting etc!!!!!

inthemistsoftime · 11/02/2009 22:14

do I need to do dessert, I don't normally eat them?

CuddlyKelpie · 11/02/2009 22:15

I was on POF.
I emailed a few different guys for a while, one of which I posted on here about under a different name - he was a bit forward for me but I actually binned him off for 'losing his mobile in the garage' for the week when I suspect he was actually checking out his other options and got in touch again when they didn't pan out.
Another, I emailed for ages but he didn't keep my interest, I felt he was coasting it a bit.
The DATE was a nice enough guy, but he didn't set me on fire and I just couldn't free up any time after the first date in the holidays.

So there you have my failure record!

inthemistsoftime · 11/02/2009 22:16

or maybe we skip dessert!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/02/2009 22:16

ok I feel as if I have dominated this thread this evening so I am going to retire quietly so you guys can get on with it.

I'll let you know what happens on Monday but be assured I will be lurking to keep up with your progress.

Nite nite

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/02/2009 22:19

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/02/2009 22:28

OP posts:
CuddlyKelpie · 11/02/2009 22:31

I have to make that cheesecake! It sounds fabulous.
I hope the respective dates go well, will try to keep up.

Remotew · 11/02/2009 22:32

I agree, may have a shot at the cheesecake myself.

CuddlyKelpie · 11/02/2009 22:33

aseriouslyblondemoment I don't really think he cared if I believed it. I suspect he moved onto the next vitims fairly quickly - they were probably already being groomed!

CuddlyKelpie · 11/02/2009 22:34

victims even!

Remotew · 11/02/2009 22:36

I'm chatting with a guy of POF atm, not sure if I will arrange to meet him, he has to ask first.

Was about to give up on it but the next message was from someone who looks very nice and sounds normal. He is my age too. Just exchanging emails atm so nothing to tell. Will report back. I may as well join in after all I don't know anyone on here to get embarrassed.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 11/02/2009 22:42

OP posts:
Remotew · 11/02/2009 22:47

Anyone worth replying too?

CuddlyKelpie · 11/02/2009 22:53

What is FRD? Is it worth trying?

I put a profile on a site after exp and I had decided to split, I was still living with him til I sorted out the tenancy on a flat. I had no intention of dating but he had been making so many negative comments about me I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in me or if he was right. I went away for the weekend to get out of the house and he phoned me up saying he had 'found' my profile and I was cheating on him, totally laid into me.
I asked all the obvious questions, he said he had a feeling I had done it and that was why he searched, he said I was a cheat and a liar. Part of me felt bad and could see why he felt hurt but really, we were free agents by then.
